Essentially, Sam Fisher is meant to infiltrate top secret places, gather information, retrieve hostages, assassinate an individual, etc., and exfiltrate, all ninja esque in style. I like Centerstrain's channel because he plays the game the way the real Sam Fisher would go about things. Read the novels for validity on my argument. I however, attempt to play like that but I find myself either taking guys out to get past or saving the game 20 times per mission.

I can get the the 100 % but most often I just don't have the patience too that and I like wacking some of these bastards
American Alpha It's true and all but sometimes I just can't resist getting cocky; Like bash Lacerda's door and shoot up all the 3 guys in the room, or kill everyone in my way in Battery when the countdown starts.
I'm good at SC and Hitman, stealthing it up all the time but whenever the shit hits the fan I will all out go blazing and kill anyone and everyone in my way.
You'll get to a point where you CAN get past enemies without touching EVERY single one of them (Except for those required for the objectives). I've tried to do it, and it becomes far more exciting lol.
There is either a reference or a stab at MGS in this mission in the area where the guards have the sticky shockers instead of guns if you interrogate one of the ones in the area with the conveyor belts Sam asks about the weapons they have and when then he asks if they have any extra rounds for it and the soldier will say "It's not like you can shake me and make my ammo fall on the floor to pick up!" Anyone who played MGS2 and above will get it. There are more sticky shockers in the store room on the opposite side of where the servers are.
Gary Beltz I noticed that but didn't got the reference in my playthrough.
It’s more of a reference than a stab, if you play ghost recon wildlands, Sam makes a reference to solid snake with Kojima leaving Konami and Gabe Logan from syphon filter “retiring” and Sam says he’s “the only one left” as they pay tribute to MGS. Which in of itself is awesome they all take place in the same universe, and like wise In MGS 3 snake eater when the colonel asks snake in the mini game to go through with a mission, snake asks “Why don’t Sam or Gabe do it”. So I assume there was always mutual respect between all the stealth games. Sadly there is no hitman reference between them.
@@gameroftheyear1000 I would hope they're not all in the same universe. Days Gone reveals the world gets destroyed by a mutation of the Syphon Filter virus.

Late reply, but why metal gear 2 and afterwards? It's literally been a feature since mgs1 on ps1

They just need to go back to the roots. Maybe even make a new stealth focused entry directly following Chaos Theory, ignoring DA and conviction and everything else.

This game is 15 years old and i only just discovered you could change the language to match the appropriate location you are at.
Though I keep it on English for "I want my mommy" in the Korean mission.

I discovered climbing that big red thing to get to the ceiling on my 5th play through by accident. Was an amazing discovery for me!
I’m just irritated at how no one knows how FAR AHEAD this game was in its time. Dude I was watching the previews and trailers to this in 2004 as an kid. Back when the first Xbox still had the original huge controller that anyone can hold. I was in the damn 6th grade. This seem so advanced and it still is

Just finished watching all your chaos theory videos. We play in similar ways, except for the fact that you take it to a whole other level with your skills in getting by parts without touching anybody. Kudos sir, kudos
What a game, man. I still play this game through a few times a year.
I like commentary when it's good. So often you get guys who think they have to narrate every second and you can tell they are trying to think of something to say when it isn't always necessary to talk. Sometimes they just randomly swear so much that it's annoying. This guy didn't really do anything wrong. Not that I am allowed to judge I just wanted to give an objective opinion for anyone considering using this walkthrough. This one is decent. Commentary, not narration. He basically does it right. Or, at least, how I like it done. I'm going to use this. I always have a RUclips walkthrough bookmarked for when I get stuck. If you're using a walkthrough it's because you need the help. It helps more if the guy is explaining what and/or why he is doing. Hopefully you're not just like the little brother on South Park who just watches PewDiePie play instead of playing himself. I have never found ANY walkthrough so entertaining that I just watch like it's a movie! Major Slack is entertaining and he never swears because he is Canadian. He's my favorite. Unfortunately he didn't do this game. Centerstrain01 is a decent enough alternative. Way better than Centerstrain02.
I had to rewatch this whole walkthrough, I miss this game. Brings back amazing memories. Has to be my favorite game of all time along with Far Cry 1.

Hey dude really enjoyed your videos! I completed splinter cell, and pandora tomorrow ages ago when i was a teenager - i didnt play chaos theory, and then i completed double agent. But after watching these videos I think Im going to get back into SC, Buy conviction and wait for the new one to come out!

Wait for the guard to go over to the wash, THEN climb out, you will climb out pretty much inside said guard and be able to grab him without the guard realizing anything...

You're playing it wrong. More challenging way is to knock out everyone but don't kill anyone via stealth only and hide their bodies and reach 100% in expert mode for each level. That is the way to do it. That is how I used to play back in the days. It's more fun since you need to plan for every encounter in advance. Adds more thrill, tension, planning & more satisfaction once you clear this way. Just my 2 cents. :)

Did not spot that structure to climb up! Got 100% anyways 😀 Great video, i have used your videos over all others as they are the best! One criticism...... consider using infared vision more often, i couldn't see what you were doing at some points!
thank you for every video I had so much trouble on all of the levels but I saw all of the walk through and it help me. on bath house the old Xbox version the first steam room it did not turn on but I did another way but thank you for everything I only have the old Xbox and I can't afford any system so I just play the same game every day.

That's actually in Pandora Tomorrow if you kill the chick in the Jerusalem mission.
Once you reach the point in the level where nonlethal weapons are mentioned, being shot at takes a different dimension.
Basically being shot with a nonlethal weapon is like an enemy being hit by a airfoil or sticky shocker, it's a one shot disable on you. If you get shot, you wake up in an otherwise inaccessible room near the server room where you find the Bathhouse orders.
There's two soldiers there interrogating you, but you can pick your restraints and escape. The upside is you aren't dead, and the mission can continue from that point. The downside is you can essentially kiss the stealth of the run goodbye as you were caught, and they confiscate all your gear, and I'm pretty sure it's gone for the rest of the game, unless it's hidden somewhere I don't know.
LabTech No actually you can grab your gear; in a box when you exit the interrogation room. And Sam's dialogue will sound like he just hates everything and wants to complete the mission in any way possible; Also there will be one alarm triggered but it'll count as four.
Layer Ant I stand corrected, but I played the Xbox version, so maybe it's different.
I never found the gear myself.
+LabTech Once you free yourself from the torture room and knock out the guard at the door, check the aisle beside you in the corner. A box should have all the gear.
+Wylie Coyote It should also be pointed out that the servers in the server room will be down in the ground and you will have to hack the retinal scanner to get them back up leaving you more exposed to the cameras and Sam's life bar is down to the lowest point it can be before you would die so one hit and you're dead even if the same guard hits you with the sticky shocker.

I tripped the lasers in the turret hallway and pistol emp the turret as it came down and still got 100%

The passcode for the door of the server room is 1945. You can get the code from the computer in the lobby.

So I noticed that the PS3 version is darker and has brighter lights then the PC version of which I'm playing right now to compare... unless you changed the brightness and contrast?

Hey usually there's like 2 ways you can get caught and taken into interrogation.
Do you remember which part of the level it is? And how did you avoid it?
BTW your walkthroughs are amazing and I watch a lot of walkthroughs...
and usually I don't like commentary from the player but your comments are really helpful and sometimes funny and your voice isn't annoying like some other uploaders.. so keep up the good work!

This does feel like. Almost the easiest level. Like on par with the first level, but maybe a little more interesting. But the retinal hack is bullshit.

How strange. CT informs me that retinal scanners can NOT be hacked. Furthermore, you are not actually hacking them. The numbers are meant to be selected when they illuminate , but when you are doing it, you do not have all numbers illuminated and yet, the door opens? I had to grab a guy and make him use the scanner to get in, but it does not allow this to get into the server room. No hacking can get me in. The game itself states when i am loading this level that the can NOT be hacked.
I love the xbox and ps2 version on double agent better than the ps3 and xbox 360 versions

Man, the Gamecube version, albeit still fun to play, sucks compared to this. Graphics are somewhat dumbed-down, nobody's mouth moves when talking, and there are many unnecessary difficulties, particularly light-bulbs that you can't OCP, much less shoot.
