Wasn't it a built in 32x also?
@@TboneTenEighties no but you can add the 32X to the CDX. I did this until I traded my 32X in at Electronics Boutique back in the day. I still have the CDX though!🙂

The Genesis and Game Gear startups are actually TMSS that say "PRODUCED BY OR UNDER LICENSE FROM SEGA ENTERPRISES LTD"

I thought I had a lot of Sega systems? Yikes! I had a Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, the Sega💿CD💿, didn't get the 32X, but I had the Saturn, and the Dreamcast. The Game Gear and the Nomad were the hand-held systems I had from Sega. I loved them all for the most part. I was frustrated however when they started dropping systems off quickly. But I was a Sega fan and I'll always be a Sega fan. Now I also had every Nintendo console except for the Wii. Also the TurboGraphx-16 as well. Add my Playstation consoles and X-Box systems into the mix and well I'm a video game nut! I only wish I had kept all of my old games and systems. NOT for the monetary value or reasons. But for the amazing games that I had and would LOVE to play again! I'm hopeful that I'll find some way to get some of those systems and games back, but after seeing some of the prices on eBay? I'm not as hopeful as I was.

Well SEGA Pico is for kids and has games based on cartoons etc. so it also has less games then any other console probably

Missing the Sega CDX. Which came out in 1994 or 1995. Used to have one along with the Sega Nomad and Sega Saturn when I was a teenager.
Nice history, but it misses the Sega Saturn with round button model
My favorite in this Walkthrough is SEGA GENESIS.
Mistakes:
1:32 The intro to Sonic 2, Sonic hasn't been invented yet.
1:45 May be because I never got a real Genesis, but I'm not buying it. The Sonic 1 intro.
2:09 Sonic was just at the Tokyo Toy Show back then, and Tails wasn't even planned yet.
A lot of these are not startups but Sonic games intros.

I am pretty sure that only the Dreamcast had a built in start screen. For all the other consoles the start logo was part of the game cartridge and there were dozens, if not hundreds, of variations...

Yes megasis/genedrive had lots ot start ups on the game cartridges. As opposed to the machine. Only the sega mk3/master system had a screen at the start without cartridge and with.

Mines the original model 1 Saturn from 1994 and the bios says Ver 1.01 1994,1995 so my Saturn might have Been manufactured in 1995

A couple more to add: JVC X'Eye /WonderMega (basically a MD/Genesis with MegaCD/SegaCD built in.) I used to have an X'Eye and remember that it had its own distinct startup screen.

cool video and all but the startups from the genesis are actually from sonic 1 and sonic 2, and the game gear one is from sonic chaos or triple trouble
I've owned a real Game Gear and Genesis, their startups are a black screen with small white text named a TMSS. (Blue screen with white text on a Game Gear)

@@Caleb14409 the TMSS was only on the genesis, the game gear one was just a bios added to late models (maybe for the Master Gear Converter ?) i made a (pretty bad) video on console startups and both show up
@@mariobot128 I own a stock (recapped and nothing else) Game Gear with a high serial number (mid 90s?) and it has a curved lens and it's TMSS. I don't have a Master Gear Converter

Keep in mind that the Sega Genesis startup is not baked into the console, it's specific to Sonic 2.
Also I'm not sure Game Gear's startup is baked into the console, either.

I'm a Sega Genesis HD Graphics Model 1 / Sega CD Model 2 kind of guy. Although the Dreamcast did just send chills down my spine. Classic nostalgia.

@@joezar33 I did. It was years ago and actually has an unusual story to go with it. My best friend that I also worked with broke his leg in a car accident when a pick-up truck pulled out in front of him at an intersection on a rural road. I was actually two cars behind him and witnessed it. He couldn't work for a while. We did concrete construction. His car was smashed. He was stuck at home in a cast with nothing to do, so I sold him my Dreamcast and my games, probably about 10 of them, for $55. Deal of the century, I know, but he was my bud and he was in a bad place. I think that was 2001. That'd be like $80 in today's money. lol

They should make an another dreamcast in 2023 and remaster all the games!!! It would be so amazing!!! I remember playing pro stricker soccer 2000, I could play hours and hours without getting tired of it , the gameplay was so fast and fun.
If they could make a dreamcast 2 and if they could do a sticker pro soccer 2023 to compeat against fifa on Xbox and ps5.. it would be so freaking genius.. because for real fifa on ps5 is freaking boring.. they are focusing to much on realism and in my opinion, it's killing the fun factor..
