Guide to fix you cant able to login into your account and get an error we cant sign into your account in windows 10 windows 8 and windows 7 pc
once you sign in you are welcome with another notification you have been signed with a temporary profile

Command i use in step 1 :
net user administrator /active:yes
Path in Step 2 :
open run command and type "regedit" without commas
Path to locate : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Files to copy in Step 3 :
NTUSER.DAT
NTUSER.DAT.LOG1
NTUSER.DAT.LOG2
NTUSER.INT

Step 1 and Step 2 went fine.
I ran into multiple issues in Step 3, after I logged in as administrator
1. I could not find the file ntuser.int instead i found ntuser.ini
2. I do not have the folders like you mentioned in C:\Users, instead i found multiple files with the following names

3. When i tried to copy from TEMP.SK-PC.008 to MyName folder I am not getting error "The action can't be completed because the file is open in System"

@@bazooka4049 yeah I got it correct but it was a just a make shift thing. There were a lot of problems in the beginning but with time it got ok.
What I did was that I logged in with the new guest acct windows makes and created a new user in my pc. I think I copied my data in the new user too but I don't remember much 😬.
Though yes I think nothing really worked for me and I had to make do with what I could find. I also tweaked with some of the regedit strings but yeah I don't remember much. Sorry buddy. Hope u get it right

Thanks for replying, it's I deleted the .bak file (in registry editor) and copied the four files into a temp file, then I renamed it.
Now it no longer brings the error but the files are missing any solution?
It doesnt show my account username on step 3 what do i do.

@@gilbertsantiagojr8414 Follow the steps mentioned in the video. Then to the registry as shown in the video. Click on the temp folder which you're logged into. The path will say C:\users\(list of random letters). Edit that to C:\users\(yourusername). Restart your computer and it'll work.
@@YeduKrishnanAspiringWriter how did you fix it? I also have a lot of temp folders but cant rename while in it, and cant copy them and replace in username folder because it shows error as its open by the system. Can you please explain? Thanks!
@@pablogobertti9933 You need to create an administrator profile as mentioned in the video. Then, while logged on as administrator, go to the registry folder which shows all the temp folders. Click on the topmost temp folder, rename the path to C:/users/(yourusername) and restart your computer.
Its not working its jus resetting into default again if i delete the temp and rename the acc and reboot

That’s totally fine It’s because you are logged in as admin when you switch back to your account all your files will be back. Proceed with the tutorial to resolve the issue.
Now after doing this, I cant go to my old account. It seems like I only have the administrator account. No matter how many times I try to switch account, I only have the option, administrator account
Create a new account and than copy the data from your old account to your new account. To copy data steps are already provided in the tutorial

For those who the temp profile keep on coming again and again.
Go to settings and update& recovery then advanced settings, restart now, click on that. Then while it is being restarted you'll get some option called troubleshooting, open advanced options go for system restore. Select the point which you can restore to. Hope it helps.

Edit: I only did the one ntuser thing that had a gear icon that wasn't in your video and I got it to work. Only thing I lost was my Chrome bookmarks, but I rather have that than my whole computer.

Take the access of the file by going to its properties > security > full access

I've tried all three of the methods you showed and none of them are working for me to be honest the computer is 8 years old and it was already playing up and we're planning on getting a new one so we're gonna send it to the place we got it made and see if they can fix it and if so we'll salvage what we can onto the new pc. After I copied all the ntusers I closed my computer and restarted it but after I went on my actual user account everything was gone. Only recyclebin was left and I can't even click on the windows icon and couldn't access my computer. Every thing was gone except recycle bin

@@LotusGeek 1) the A, F, X and C keys do not work at all. 2) the on-screen keyboard works.
I have tried switching on and off the Filter keys and have tried uninstling the keyboard driver and neither those options have worked. I also tried running the laptop in Safe Mode and the keys do not work in Safe Mode either.

first solution told me "Access denied" my account is the only one on the PC. how do I fix this?
You can create a new account by opening run command and type lusrmgr.msc
Now go to settings > account > family and other > find your newly created account and give it admin rights
Now right click in the windows and choose new user. Proceed with onscreen instructions to create new user
Now login onto newly created account and go to c drive > users > your old username > desktop
Copy all the data from here and save in your new user account desktop

Copy your files and save on to other drive. Now create a new user account and save those files in C drive of that account

You can do that by two ways either by turning off admin account or else by creating new user account(if previous one not working)
To turn off admin account type following account in command prompt:
Net administrator/active:no
Make sure before turning off that your other account is working.
Secondly, if other account not working create new user account by opening run command and type : lusrmgr.msc
From here in left pane create new user account.
Copy all the data of your previous account to your new account by going to C drive > users > your username > desktop
Now your system is ready to use

Restart your PC by Holding and press shift key. Now choose troubleshoot and than Go to advanced options and from there choose system restore and find a restore point to resolve the issue.
