As someone who has the DJI V2 + a single Vista VTX with a need for more cameras/VTX: - Would you recommend just getting O3 Air Units or sell the system and switch to Walksnail + Moonlight 4K ? - Which system do you personally prefer right now? Thank you for doing this, your tests are really helpful!
Well honestly I use the vista most at the time cause I have like 4 drones with vista and I didn't take them apart for more than a year so I trust them. I like walksnail and it is really really good but at this point I can not decide they both have pros and cons. If I was you I would stay now for a while with you V2 goggles and buy another vista or O3
Amazing. I am at the same situation currently. Getting couple of offers for v2, which is almost same as avatar x goggle price. So super confused, should I sell the goggles + vista and switch to avatar completely or do what, I have couple of analog quads as well.
@@rainbowrunner1136I should wait a bit to be honest. Vistas will be available for a while still but probably the new dji goggles wont work with them anymore and as the goggles integra and goggles 2 got discounted really much it means the new goggles are coming soon
Thank you @@ixography . So one last question do you suggest me buying goggle 2 refurbished @ 380 USD, if someone is ready to buy goggles v2 at the same price ? What i am loosing is ability to put analog module and fly my analog builds. Whats will be your suggestion? Because I think new goggles won't be cheaper than 500 usd.
hey yes normally they should be included but if they are not these are 45 degrees adapters you can find them on the true rc website and are basically the same for DJI goggles
Honest question: are you wanting to become a reviewer? There value in it still and you don't owe anyone anything :)
I am not sure if I understood your comment to be honest sorry mate, I did the review just to make sure the gear used was the same on both drones as I didnt own the antennas when I got the goggles, yes I got the stuff for free from walksnail but they never asked me for reviews and I did them myself and also they never asked me to say only good things and trust me they got a lot of feedback for improving from me and they always did listen to my findings so I can not say anything bad about them as they always listened to me and most of the time when I asked to change something in 1-2 days they sent me a new betafirmware
but I think I get your comment now haha, but yeah I mean I wanted to show people that the goggles are really good and they really can compete against dji
Hello, I just bought this model of camera and it is getting extremely hot. It gets up to 90 degrees when it's on the table and shuts down. Does your camera get hot? How can I cool the camera?
Hey man the the vtx always gets hot therefore when you connect it you should do all the stuff fast. DJI O3 gets hot fast and vista also. Best thing you can do is to use a small fan and blow cool air in the drone. While the drone is flying the vtx gets cool by the airflow but if you are just in your house it gets hot but this is perfectly normal so you should only connect it for short periods of time and let it rest and connect again. But it has to be connected to a battery only when you change your vtx settings otherwise it is not needed
you get an adapter with the antennas you just need a 45 degrees one. But truerc is working on walksnail antennas that look similar to the ones for goggles 2 by dji with 3D printed parts on the back of them
the top left is RX and TX meaning it sends and receives so it makes sense to have the patches there. If you fly long range atleast, for freestyle and while you fly a lot around yourself you can put the differently it is up to you
I am new into Fpv. What system would you recommend? I think Walksnails x is longer time still up to date and Dji system’s feels like outdated in couple Months. I can’t decide.
I just like walksnail I use same system for my whoop up to big 4k drones. Walksnail has 1s whoop boards and a 4k moonlight unit. A pro camera for incredible low light performance. Offers alot of options. DJI upgrades and old things slowly get discontinued every year.
Hey! So I’m looking at getting my first FPV setup and was thinking about going with the Goggles X over DJI. From what I read, Walksnail is supposed to be able to do HD Zero okay and same with Analog. I just plan to do freestyle. As someone familiar with both systems, is Walksnail an okay ecosystem to start in or do you think I will regret not going DJI? Additionally, DJI units seem much more expensive and also don’t go on smaller drones well.
I actually think walksnail is great but it is a young company so sometimes the goggles coming from them are faulty but so are they from DJI. It is hard to say what system to get. Funny enough today I was flying DJI and walksnail side by side over 1.5km to a castle on a hill and DJI was losing signal for some reason and walksnail had like 50mbps on the same mountain. But I actually don't know sometimes as there are scenarios where walksnail is better and in some scenarios dji is better . I honestly think you can go either way and be happy or unlucky. Fpv is a gamble sometimes Unfortunately
cause we are there with 4 people flying together and we asked the person several times to come to fly with us or atleast send us a message to let u know what channel he is using but the dude plugged 2 times while we were flying and my friend got signal loss cause of that and destroyed a gopro while he crashed and another friend the same. Everytime we asked him to join us he was acting weird and we had the feeling that he was high. I dont mind him flying but he only starts flying once he hears we are in the air but the last time I sneaked behind him and confronted him before he could run away cause the first time he gave us a fake phone number but now I waited until I saw his phone was ringing. So if you would have listened to what I was saying I would not be typing it here lol

Yes, the WS anetenna work, but you can get much clearer video with antenna that radiation patterns that are more uniform.
Did you use the STUBBY COMBO or just the X-AIR 5.8 MK.II patches?
The combo, patches and stubbies

Would I need some kind of adapter for the VTX antennas? Like a UFL to SMA?

how did you stay on 50mbs my mbs keeps going down to 20 to 15 mbs it does'nt stay on 50mbs what do i do please help i did the power hack
On what antennas and in what kind of situation?
I noticed the TrueRC patch antennas are mounted on the top. Isn't the top left the receiver transmitter connector or does it make a dfifference?

Are you running 6s or 4s with those motors? I just received a TrueRC X-AIR 5.8 MK II to try on my goggles x, and im excited to see how it performs.
6S on the 7inch if that is what you are asking? 😀
Yes, sir. I'm building a rekon7 with 2807 1700kv motors on 4s. Hopefully, the kv won't be too low.

F these comparisons, just get truerc and you’d end the endless worrying if something else is better.
Why F these comparisons? Some people just don't believe that the walksnail gets better when you upgrade the antennas and that is why I do this
Yes, also WS has no range limit.
