I just picked up my Goggles X, and a couple Moonlight 4K kits, also, after a decade of analog flying. My choice of Walksnail over DJI was easy for me: DJI's AeroScope system, and how it was used in Ukraine. HDZero isn't quite what I was looking for, that is to say a proper HD filming solution to replace my HD cameras on my quads and planes. But the biggest selling point was the HDMI input on the Goggles X's, as I have a ton of models with analog Tx's that I don't want to/can't afford too replace, lol. But so far, I've just been taking both sets of goggles (analog and X's) to the field, as the only analog module solution I've seen is goofy, really goofy. I see you've got the lens covers and Fat Strap as well - I went with the "Pinup" style, lol. There's a replacement foam surround I've installed from BG that has solved the light leak issue for me. On a Mario 5 frame, I've had nothing but great performance so far. Even on a fixed wing Penguin, it's been a rock solid setup! I haven't tried the Moonlights in the dark yet, but have to imagine they'll be as good as any of my GoPro's or Insta360's for footage. Thanks for your review, Stones!
@@GhostRyderFPV I plan to get the new Avatar Gt and set up a gm3 gimbal on a long range build. The head tracking is what I'm really keen to get into with these. Cheers happy flying
Thanks for your 'personal' honest options. Your video was very informative for me. I'm thinking about getting into FPV - I've dipped my toe in with a Radiomaster Pocket controller and PC simulators (I'm slowly improving... slowly) I'm learning the FPV jargon - tech acronyms/software. Brain boggle. Anyway, should I wait for Version2 (how far away?) or get Version1 now - right now? I just basically want to use it with my simulators and lean how to use the goggles. I feel I still need a LOT of practice with sims before flying. I like Caddx for all the reasons you stated. My wish list for my first drone is constantly changing, I was on the Mobula 8, then FlyLens 75 and now I'm hovering on the FlyLens 85. I am not in a hurry and need to keep learning drone tech and practicing with sim until I am confident to fly and not kook out. I've never seen any of this stuff in real life, I wear glasses and have a batman card (I'm a senior). I know you can get add-on lens but I was hoping the available adjusters on this unit would work for me, it's such an unknown. I'm uncertain and confused. Jump in with these or wait for new version ? I really want to try them and 'see if I can actually see' with them before purchase. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
The new Walksnail GogglX come with the built in head tracking now where as my version is where caddx copped a lot of heat for releasing a product too early and with bugs. I believe to purchase these Goggles now i wouldn't expect any issues we had in its early release. In saying this i have still been happy with mine even if certain functions such as head tracking and analog video display require external add-on modules where as the newest google today it has it all built in.
Hi, I'm an analog user (currently using Dom V3). Would you recommend this goggle for both analog and digital? Do you think it's worth getting the Goggle X with the built-in head tracker already installed, and the cooling upgrade kit included? Would this be a significant upgrade for me? Thank you
@@sousousddad2260 The latest version of GogglesX work well from what I have heard. My unit needs the head tracking module attached externally and analog also needs the external module. This gave the early released gogglesX a bad name as Caddx released it early with these issues. My set has been great as I don't use analog or head tracking but I do have the module sent free if I want. Although I'm not 100% sure how well built in analog works on the latest version goggles, I'm pretty sure built in head tracking works well. I would recommend the latest version goggles X as a good upgrade from Dom V3.
I bought goggles x in May. If you also need analog they’re a terrible choice. Lately I use Sky04X pro and the walksnail vrx. Don’t hold your breath for that “upgrade”
