Wooooooohooooo, nice vid dude. Both cars look good and sound great but i'll always prefer the b5 model. How many hp does your car have now with all the mods?
the b5 driver shifted fine, still has the original transmission in the car, the b6 guy has had 4 transmissions, its a 80awhp difference too, the video is to show the difference in a stock bottom a4 1.8t vs a built a4 2.0t rev'ing 1,000rpm more with a slightly bigger turbo also, know your role flanig407!
last dyno before installing new intake manifold and bigger throttle body was 404whp at 30psi on a Dyno Dynamics. The B5 did 322whp on the same dyno at 24psi both cars on 93 and meth injection.
It'd be close if they both ran stage 3 unitronic but either way they've both been upgraded up to 10 sec. car's and a few master's of tuning have gone close to 7. That is cool as hell for a 1.8L family sedan in my book!
realistically its unlikely that the b5 with essentially all bolt ons could keep up with a b6 with mk3 2.0 crank stroked with rods pistons rings slezves. not to mention a built aeb head with cams lifters springs. both are great cars makes me miss my b5 awm.. hopefully ill be building another. 750 for the shell with 5spd and 700 for the aeb. that leaves a budget for big boost and big cams :)
now i have a built 2.0 with an HTA GT3073R, 2.75 catless exhaust, gutted interior, etc. It was a huge jump from my stock block with a k04 l. im currently having an edit made by my friend. he's alot better with the video making skills haha. i should have it up by the end of the month as long as i get done with all my suspenion and brake shit that im doing now.
thats very true haha, unless your USP motorsports and your b5 does mid 9's. ill admit i came a long way to be in 11's which i'm happy with since its not setup for drag racing. i could prob get down to a 11.4 ish with drag radials, correctly setup 2 step, etc. but i'm not all into that
what's your current setup? With mostly bolt on's and tune I'm at a high 13-low 14, but the trap would be horrible. Haven't dragged myself but other guys with similar upgrades are running those numbers.
You have me their the auto does weigh alot more but the six speed manual weighs the least do to smaller stronger gears also making a 2 sec. difference in 0-60 times between auto and manual of B6 and earlier years aswell.
i would like to see 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of a 2001 b5 and and a 2004 b6, both 1.8t manual with the exact same engine mods/setup. i can't argue with what you said about the 6-speed though because my b5 has a completely rebuilt one and rear diff out of a 2004 :] #6speedb5
I've done my research cause I own a B6. And no they don't push the same with stage one two or three the B6 pushes a little more on all. I have race B5 1.8t's 2.8's and even B6 3.2 and I held right with the 3.2 both stock. The b5's on the other hand I leave in the dust fwi I know the driver's not fake pulls. And for the record do you're research and if you dig hard enough you will find that the 2004 A4 1.8t was the lightest sedan audi made since the mid 90's.
ifartutaste no you wrong the b5 was the lightest since the mid 90's I have both cars the b6 always weigh more than a b5 the difference is weight and gear box the b6 has a 6speed with a higher gear ratio and the b5 5speed with lower gear ratio I own a ultra sport b6 and a 2001 b5 the b5 is lighter bro were ever u got that info it is false
You don't know what you're talking about. Unitronic is good for OTS tunes and nothing they offer will come close to what a custom tune will do. These cars are not 10 second cars. Not even close. There are no 1.8T powered A4's running anything close to 7's. There is an 800+ hp 1.8T powered A4 that has run into the mid to high 9's. Anything faster is running either a VR6-T or an AAN 5 cylinder. Please don't spread misinformation.
you do realize our b6 weights only differ 111 lbs out of over 3000and i said about? just a driver is probably 100-200lbs but you can't say a b6 in general weighs 3289, theres a difference in weight just between an auto and a manual... honestly i don't care anymore though because we're arguing like kids. you like/own audi and so do I so your alright in my book, unless you have a 92' civic too lol
mine has the six speed manual as well which is something you just cant get in a B5 more power more gears sorry but B6 takes the lead in style and performance
Don't worry I won't take it from you cause you're still not telling accurate info. The b5 pushes 155 bhp and the late model b6 pushes 179 bhp also weighing in with the 6spd manual 3289 you're info was a bit twisted but those are the facts for you're futer log book. The b7 weighs 3400lb

urbamworm have anymore videos of this b6? I am trying to do a stroker...

Tyler Nieves they were definitely more solid but I’m almost positive that the b6 has a boos leak. The vacuum system in my b6 is shit. Leaks everywhere

that b6 has a bad ass list of mods.i wonder how noticible the outcome would be if the b5 had a couple more mods.
thats very true haha, unless your USP motorsports and your b5 does mid 9's. ill admit i came a long way to be in 11's which i'm happy with since its not setup for drag racing. i could prob get down to a 11.4 ish with drag radials, correctly setup 2 step, etc. but i'm not all into that

thats what I want my B6 to do
Dude, high 11's are an achievement in our cars if you factor in where we started from. I'd be happy with low 13's and under. For a while anyway ;-)
Nice!!!!
What clutch are you guys using in each car?
the interior besideses the guages and the wheel can be pretty similar but the body of the B6 is timeless plus stock side by side b6 is a little faster
ifartutaste u wrong again u probably just in love with the b6 b5 faster stock for stock
i would like to see 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of a 2001 b5 and and a 2004 b6, both 1.8t manual with the exact same engine mods/setup. i can't argue with what you said about the 6-speed though because my b5 has a completely rebuilt one and rear diff out of a 2004 :] #6speedb5
10 sec is pretty sick for our cars let alone 7s...i'm more into handleing but i wouldn't mind if my car could run 10s, right now im around high 11s :[

Fucking sick dudes nicely done
how can You change the psi so easy??
wrong in 2003 the 1.8t was uprated in power same engine per say just b6 has a little more get up and go.
that b6 is fucking fast!

@urbamworm thats crazy.i wish my friends a4 was that fast.
the b6 was loaded with more mods
B5 driver should learn to shift, probably would've done better especially on that 2nd run.
mine has the six speed manual as well which is something you just cant get in a B5 more power more gears sorry but B6 takes the lead in style and performance
u think because its a 6 speed it has more power? lol 6th speed is more like overdrive
fuckin sick video... How much MULA have you dished out for the setup??? i have the same B6 model blacked out
Until you talk S4's.
We dont talk them because the motors always pulled apart
yah thats right b6 is not only sexier but faster in the end to luv it post more vids p1 audi
@username2153 actucally meth injection kicks ass
B5 driver cant shift to save his life, theres like two seconds between every shift i mean its a race dude not a leisurely sunday drive come on now
Don't worry I won't take it from you cause you're still not telling accurate info. The b5 pushes 155 bhp and the late model b6 pushes 179 bhp also weighing in with the 6spd manual 3289 you're info was a bit twisted but those are the facts for you're futer log book. The b7 weighs 3400lb
ifartutaste it's wrong the b6 weight is 3406lbs and 150-170hp the base model and ultra sport version. the b5 weight is 3241lbs and have 150-170hp
boost controller
They are not faster or lighter auto trader has false numbers for the b6. B6 also pushes more hp to the wheels than the b5.
ifartutaste nope
