Alright thanks for the help man. I'll put these things to consideration when I get my car. I was actually thinking of getting the Audi A4 at first, but I'm now pretty sure I'm getting the Mk4 VW Jetta 1.8t. Hopefully my car runs great. :)
Yep, generally. Thats what turbo timers are for, though I haven't heard of anyone fitting one to their Audi yet. Might be an issue with the security systems on them. Generally though, nobody has time/makes time to let them sit and cool off every time they drive somewhere. Generally the best compromise to just change the oil more often. Audi dealer here says they use Castrol 5w50 synthetic, apparently the high heat range of the oil helps with the sludging.
Nice schnitzle-burner. what are you logging with? Is this filmed somewhere in FL? I just got a very similar setup running on my B5 QTM (AEM EMS) and would love to compare maps-logs
Been through 7 transmissions and a few clutches finding one that won't weld up on a launch or slip. It made 390 at 28psi and 400whp on dyno dynamics at 30psi on pump and meth and 437 on dyno jet with a PTE 5857. Haven't driven car in a year, having tuning issues after trying to get new tune and locked up 2 ECUs. Lost interest due to having an E55 I drive all the time now. The transmissions are pretty much guaranteed to break at some point if you shift them fast or launch them with 350+whp.
sweet runs. im running the same turbo on a ka24 and was thinking of installing meth injection so i can run higher boost. do you think the meth is worth doing some people say yea some say its bad. thanks.
Factory turbo cooks the oil in it after you shut off the car, turning some of it to sludge. Issue is inherent in the factory design, says the Audi dealer here, just change the oil at 5k intervals instead of the 10k that's recommended in the manual. If you get one that's sludged, apparently motor flush with oil changes can undo a lot of it.
Just curious as to how your drivetrain is holding up with the setup in the video. I have a built B6 as well, but still a 1.8 however. And I'm running an S3 K04 turbo @ 21lbs and really want to upgrade to a bigger turbo since the engine can support it. Only thing that scares me is blowing up a trans like I did with my old WRX since it couldn't hold the power and abuse I put it through.
Holy shit. 7 transmissions! Maybe I'll just stick with what I have then lol. Don't feel like doing trans swaps anymore like I did a few times in my WRX. Those are great numbers though, and I'm surprised with meth youre pushing so much boost too. Are there any permanent fixes for beefing up the 5 speed? With my last trans, I ended up using a V5 STi gearset in my original trans case and loved it with the shorter and 1mm wider/shot peened gears. Not sure if there are gearsets available for audis?
lol wut @ ifartutaste... Cylinder is bored, and you use a 2.0 FSI crank shaft to increase displacement. = 2.0 "stroker" engine, stroker referring to the bigger stroke of the 2.0 crank shaft.

@Hondas337 the meth also raises the octane rating of the a/f ratio
awesome car man whats the redline at with this set up?

Thanks for the reply man. :) Someone also told me to let the car sit for a few minutes before shutting it off. You know if that would help?

Dude it's a 1.8 block bored out to 2.0 liters, allowing for much longer gears at a higher rpm.:)
Just driving along doo da doo... *hits street light*
ITS ALIVEEEE!!!!!!!
love the end lol
wouldn't it be easier to swap in an 01E from a B6 A4 (same gearing as the Audi RS2), rather than going through 7 transmissions?
whats the song called thats playing in the car at the beginning?
oh and also... how much of a difference did the cams make?

he just needs the B7 trans (01E)
What are you running for a diverted valve?
fuckin A nice setup!!
Wat will it cost me to get my Audi a4 1.8 to that level of production man?
Hows the boost lag on the gt3076r?
lol wut @ ifartutaste...

@MrInsaneMonkey i beg to differ son
@CoolCucumbersGaming sometimes ;)
this is a b6 a4....
great car.. love the porn music in the background :)
Looks like beach or Atlantic in Jacksonville
why not just 01E swap it? instead of messing around with the garbage 01A?
the car itself is porn
Im deff going MAFLESS forget that stupid sensor, then i can run no BOV or DV and get the turbo chuckle :D
@stureah hahahahaha
@Knot2shaby
