Started my locs TODAY!!!!! THANKS FOR THE encouragement!!!! I have 40 locs in case anyone wanted to know. I glad to be on my journey!!!!! I'll keep you posted.
I used to have 84 or 86 locs now I have 36 locs now. I have combined my hair like 4 times. I always loved thick locs.. I love my hair now.. love thick locs. I'm a semi free former.. love your videos.
Tianna Ross I use I movie and then I transfer it over to my computer to put the finishing touches on it on a another editing program called Coral Video Studio x6
Started my natural journey 10 yrs ago with the intentions of locing my hair. While researching, I came across loose hair naturals (including you)on RUclips which has kept me from locing. I've had fun as a loose natural but now I'm researching locs again. I've always swayed toward sister locs or smaller traditional BUT YOU AND THIS HAIR HAVE ME IN LOVE ❤❤ Your locs are beautiful!
Thank you for this video! I’m starting mine thick and I always feel like they too thick cause eveybody has skinny ones! Imma go head and keep my locs thick and disrespectful ✨
I just started mine on my own 2 months ago on Halloween using the two-strand twist method. This is my second set. I have 58 locs and am loving the journey. I started my first set late last year and it only lasted about 6.5 months. I intentionally did bigger parts with this set so they’d be thicker this time around which is just one of a few reasons why I started over. And same, as for having thinner hair on the sides in the front and thicker everywhere else; so I think I’ll have similar results and end up having locs that are thinner in those same areas and thicker everywhere else, but it’s cool. I’m totally fine with that & am just happy to finally have locs now. 😌😎 I’m gonna start using black castor oil for the hair in the front too. I was a loose natural for 3 years before attempting to loc my hair for the first time. I love coming across content from other black women who have thick locs too! Thanks for sharing your loc journey & tips!! Much appreciated!!! Yours are so beautiful, btw!!!! ☺️🤎✨
Hey Hun! I was very glad to stumble across your video. I have medium thick Locs and I’m at 2 1/2 years as well August will be 3 years ❤️❤️ best hair decision I’ve made. I’m happy to be almost 30 (May) with my thick black Locs 😊😊😊 it’s a lifestyle for me I Love Locs and all my kings and queens with them
You have such amazing energy. You know, I'm watching your video, and for whatever reason, I can feel/sense an emotion right around 4:57. It's special. Your hair is beautiful, and your light is shining. Keep it up, Star!
Girl!!! I have never seen your grade of hair - in beginning stages of dreading - look like (in the words of my daughter) a birds nest. And even though I'm well out of that stage (1 year anniversary this month 💃🏽💃🏽), it was still some how encouraging! I had to close my eyes everytime 😂😭🙈 I took a selfie. But here I am today proud of my patience-persistence. Can we say a whole ENTIRE new meaning and definition of patience and persistence? You are beautiful my sistah! Thank you for sharing your journey. Can't believe you've cut down on styling. I don't think you realize how much you styled (1-4 year video); it was a lot! Women and perfecting that twin brow lol Yes they are nice but I think it would be nicer when it is not so perfect and still has a natural touch. I was taught that nothing should stand out too much by itself. And especially with natural hair.
Hello, Good day. seen your video. yes, thick locks are beautiful I've been wearing my locks now for 15 years so mine's is way below my waist almost to top of thigh. Yes all locs styles are beautiful, but you made the right choice with thick Locs, because thick locks you can keep forever at the time I put my locks in I didn't know too much about locks I just knew I wanted some my locks are thinner but I didn't start off to thin but they are thinner (when you have thinner locs. After period of time they start getting thinner and they break off so it's a good decision that you made for the thick locks the ones for the longevity.. (Also I wear a scarf and one have to be very careful with that because it will thin your hair around your edges I don't recommend them and less at night but if you do wear a scarf it's good to have satin or silk. I'm butt actually just wear that at bedtime.. If your loc is basically for hairstyle and just being your natural self I really wouldn't suggest a scarf because of scarf going to thin it out around the edges but is up to the individual. people get locs for different reason a lot of people get Locs for Spiritual reason Exedra exedra .. I like the look of me wearing a scarf I don't feel comfortable with all my hair showing.. I'm old old school😊l but now this is moderate time you all wear your locks and they look gorgeous hanging flowing that's great !! (Locs have a lifespan just like people.. I don't know if you been in around the people with Locs, it's cute what they say ..the locs newborn stage, when you first put them in ,then, they're growing stage toddler , when they start trying to grow and sticking out that's when they call it the Adolescent and teen stage . And then after they have grown and just locked and laying there that's their adult stage, and then when they start thinning that's their elderly stage .😉 But when you have thicker locs. I read it's a book called locs . Sorry I can't remember the altar but if you just pull up the book on Locs it should t come up). that the thicker locs you can be able to keep them for life .yes you made the right choice for the thicker ones is like the elderly that is that age but be in good shape! 😉. . (Further maintenance of them Do not over twist , be conscious of what kind of scarf or head dress you going to wear make sure it's silk or satin . Is good to use a moisturizer / shampoo and a hot oil treatment when washing and use a blow dryer, on medium if you're going to use one. *Hope you enjoy your locs. GOD Bless!
Your hair is beautiful!!! I love the look of thick locs. I'm a loose natural who's very interested in locing. I am currently wearing 42 mini twists and really like the way that it looks and know that it would be even more beautiful once I start locing. Definitely following your journey.
I've been earthing you for years. Finally started my locs 5 months ago and you were my inspo girl! Like the girl you're talking about in this vid, when I saw your locs, i knew that's what I wanted. Hope you're well.
Aesthetic Femme Aesthetic Femme Aww, thank you so much Queen! I absolutely love your channel and your locs! You were one of my biggest inspirations for going thicker with my locs this time around 😊. I’ve been rocking with you since your “MissKrisNew” (spell check) days! Lol! ☺️
Lol aww I’m glad I inspired you and if you know about misskrisnew you been a rider for a looong time lol thank you! But it’s funny because you inspired me on my loc journey as well! You have a beautiful spirit. ❤️
Looking at this video and saying..... Man she look real familiar!! Glad to see you! I watched a lot of your videos when I started growing out my hair because we have similar texture hair. Happy to see you again!!!! 😃
FINALLY!!! OH FINALLY SOMEONE WITH THE SAME LOC SIZE AS MINE!! Thank you. I started about seven months ago. Doing good! Your locs are beautiful. Watching from Nairobi Kenya. Can't wait to see another video plus your journey!!! Love your channel!! Thank you

I had small locs for 10 years and a year ago I just decided I wanted thicker locs so I did a big chop. I'm so loving my thick locs I never regret cutting my hair. I can't wait for my hair to reach your length. Thanks for sharing your vedio. Love the locs.
currently combining locs 😬😬.. I’ve been loc’d for almost 3 years (Nov.20th, 2015) & ive been experiencing thinning due to over twisting my first year; I couldn’t stand to have a hair out of place.. I have 68 started with 2 strand twists! I'm about 5 months in. This is my second set I combed out my first. Had over 100 and it wasn't what I was looking for
Yes love your locs and thank you for doing the video....started my locs really thin ended in putting my locs together ....so definitely enjoy the shorter retwist time!!!! Feel ya!!!
I so love the thickness of your locs. They look so beautiful and healthy. I'm a year in on my loc journey and it was my goal to have this width but mines are a bit thinner than yours.
I chose thick locs also !!! Mines grow the same way much thicker in the back and i notice my top locs take even longer to get longer!! Thank you for this !!!
I love your hair 😍.... I just combined some of my locs at the front of my head to get them thicker using the crochet method cause just like yours, my hair is straighter to the front. Thanks for the video!
Your locs are so beautiful!!! 😍😍😍 I’ve been looking for someone with thick locs ! I have 48 locs and I’m looking forward to my locs maturing and doing there thang!
I have 130 locs I started my hair with two strand twist. I have naturally thick hair so I wonder if they will become that thick like yours. Beautiful hair omg your dreads are gorgeous. How many locs do you have ?
Glad I stumbled up on your video, I have always admired thick locks I have been natural for about a year and my 30th Birthday is Monday November 12 and I plan on locking my hair the following day and this has answered so many questions I needed and wanted to know, Thanks so much u have gained another subscriber and fan❤️❤️❤️
I really love your Locs..if I ever decide they will be thick love the fullness. I’ve been doing back to back two strain twist every month for 3 months..with little products in my hair. Just Aloe Vera Gel, Shea Butter, for twisting and the comes out great.. less shedding and new growth like crazy. I know I’m headed toward that direction soon. Thanks for the tips!
Wow! Just came across your channel. I too have thick locs -72 in all - and I'll be 3 years on February 21st! Simmilar look, but yours are thicker than most of mine. Agree on all points, and love the rope loc look! If I could start over, I'd want either circle or diamond parts, rather that the brick layered pattern I got, but ain't no turning back now! Subbed and loving seeing thick locs getting attention.
Sis. For this to had been your beginners stage you did awesome. Im in my bathroom retwisting and watching, laughing and agreeing with you years later. Lol loved it.
OMFG!!! Kris!? Is that you!? Omg😩🤗 I've missed watching youuuu lmao. I was honest-to-God thinking about you wondering if you'd started a new channel, still natural, etc. and if you maybe moved onto locking your hair. I was wearin' the braidouts, twistouts right along with you when you had your older channel (I think it was like 'Ms.KrissNew' or something lol - now I've locked my hair too. Lol. Yayyy, I'm subbing fasho. Hehe.
Thanks for doing this video! I want to start locs and i want them thick but was discouraged because some of my hair at the back is a lot thinner, so the locs will be too, but yours look great in different sizes so i feel more hopeful! Thanks again.
I love your locs and although I've been natural for 12 years, I just started my loc journey today. My loctician said that due to the wavy texture of my hair (said my hair is nearly straight at the roots while it's wet) my locs won't get really full and large even with the size parts in my hair. 😔 I hope she's wrong.
I combed out my starter locs yesterday. In starting over to go thicker and do less locs. I couldn't imagine constantly separating the 120+ ones i started
This is everything. I wanted mine to start thin then Congo up on the journey. It went as I expected other than as my hair got longer, the thin hair would get caught on things & would get on everything from food drinks get caught on zippers jewelry. I eventually use my fingers to rip them or "comb" with my hands to the points the joined up. I regret undoing my really thick one but not as much. They got too hard & were not comfortable. My hair is spongy for lack of a better term seems I don't put anything on it & I have very thin hair strands. Anyway, I rarely talk about it because I just free-form & do nothing to my hair than what I did with short hair. Just washing it.
I love your locs and your you tube channel is coming along nicely. I have thick locs as well, 44 to be exact. I follow you on Instagram too. Good video
That thickness & the blackness of your hair are so awesome !
DeathlyAlive225 what other colour is her hair supposed to be? Blackness lol
@@BumFluffer1999 I think she meant that some people hair can be dark brown or kinda dull. Her locs look truly black
@@BumFluffer1999 there's a difference in black colors. Here is a deep and nice black. It's beautiful.

you said you're limited to styling and i was like...i usually wear a bun or a wash n go. so i think it'll be ok for me lol
I don't do anything with my hair other than try to get it out the way 😂😂
I love your locs and although I've been natural for 12 years, I just started my loc journey today. My loctician said that due to the wavy texture of my hair (said my hair is nearly straight at the roots while it's wet) my locs won't get really full and large even with the size parts in my hair. 😔 I hope she's wrong.
Deep sigh… my hair is the same. The texture is working against me on my quest to have thick locs 😢
love your thick locs!! I am still undecided if I choose to do this, I will definitely revisit this video
absolutely love your hair
OMG U SOUND JUST LIKE LALA! & i love your locs 🧡
I'm mad, I have so much to do but this is so down to earth and interesting you're gonna make me watch the whole video!
Best loc video I’ve watched! Thank you ❤️
Love your vid, beautiful sista! These tips will be helpful in my loc journey. I would like thick locs like yours and will keep them black. Thanks.
Love ❤️ your locs. I was a little discouraged about having thick locs, but as time pass by, I am loving them. BTW, your locs fit you, just beautiful.
I LOVE YOUR HAIR! OMG.
Those locs are gorgeous sis👸🏽
I combed out my starter locs yesterday. In starting over to go thicker and do less locs. I couldn't imagine constantly separating the 120+ ones i started
Your hair is to die for 😍😍😍❤❤❤❤ gorgeous
Winnie D'haiti thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
omg your so beautiful, and ur locc looks so healthy and beautiful
I love your locs. Always preferred thicker locs. I'm just restarting my own lock journey after a few years of wearing my afro ☺
As my locs grow out, they will get thicker. I hope they look like yours!!!
Your locs are so beautiful! :o
Ur locs are poppin smh. Just so beautiful 😍😍😍
Lol thank you! ❤️
Your locs are gorgeous girl. Great tips as well!
the GeneusLife thank you! ❤️
Just washing it.
you are extremely beautiful! and your locs are also as well 😍
Girl you and your hair!!! 😍😍😍
The jet black helps too...I think I'll dye mine when I start. I'm like you, I'm waiting til 30 but I might start a bit sooner. Thanks for the video!
