Is this less likely to Leak? I have a connection the other way, with the female piece being female, and I have small dip. Will making the connection this way provide a matter seat between the metal to plastic?
I use oil filter pliers for larger PVC male adaptors.

Those are very helpful, if I don’t use those or what i did in the video I would use a spears sch 80 female adapter with the metal reinforcement ring.

The female adapter can crack and leak, in some places it is even illegal to use a plastic female on metal pipe.
