- How to | Replace PVC and Shut Off Valve to Brass Plumbing and Shut Off Valve for Sprinkler System
The PVC shut off valve was being damaged by ultraviolet sun rays. We changed out everything and started with a 1” copper made adapter coming from the wall and connected a 1” threaded brass 90 followed by a 1” x 3/6 brass bushing. Anyway, if you want to know more about these things, watch my other videos or ask a question in the comment below. Thank you for watching my videos. It would help to explain what your doing for the novice viewer
I need to do this at my house! 😕
How do I know what size valve I need? Current valve has a “1” on the side. Does that mean it’s a 1 inch valve? I ask because I have an old cracked valve with a “1” on its side by when I measure inside diameter of valve (threaded end) it’s 1 1/4 inches. Confused?
So how do you connect the brass to the pvc?
The PVC has to be threaded and you need to use teflon tape on the threads to prevent leaks.
