By far the most comprehensive and realistic review of this bike, thank you so much. Very very tempted by this, it's easier to justify this for me than some of the offerings from other manufacturers.
Thanks very much. It’s honestly an incredible machine! Just heard you can get some louder pipes if that’s your thing too 👍🏼
This might be the most motorcycle you can put into one motorcycle without spilling motorcycle everywhere.
Haha well put! 👍🏼👍🏼
Best description ever 👌
Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣!!
this is the most accurate description i’ve ever heard of this bike. it’s so much motorcycle it’s palpable
Apparently you're unfamiliar with the Boss Hoss 😎😁👍
A real English gentleman on a real British motorcycle at a real British stately home. Loved it sir. I wish the UK was more like that otherwise I wouldn’t have emigrated to NZ. 😀
Thanks my friend! Most of the UK has modernised its history and old ways of life to extinction
Best intro ever! :-) Bike is a world class.
Thanks buddy! Yes it certainly is a world class motorcycle!
Its always hard seeing your loved pets / animals pass away. Nice to see someone who's comfortable showing compassion.
❤
The only cruiser I would look at!
It really is special!
I won’t be getting one of these for a long time as I haven’t even gotten my first bike yet, but I can still dream.
The best thing about the looks is how you can basically see Batman riding around Gotham on one of these due to its retro-futuristic styling.
11 years ago, I rode an old Rocket III for an afternoon, the old Roadster model. I couldn't believe how light it felt pulling it off the side stand, doubtless due to the low centre of gravity. On the go, the weight is an advantage with the consequent stability. I can see the point of this new model. Just a shame, as you say, it doesn't have a reverse gear. I'd love to go to that stately home for tea and scones. Excellent review.
Yes interesting point 👍🏼 The hotel is spectacular!
I love it. I'am even thinking of trading in my Harley Fatbob and getting one. I think the "muscle bike" description is a perfect way to describe it.
Thanks buddy! It’s really awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Looks like you're falling in love fella.
I have ridden over 6,000 miles on my TFC variant, more power and torque and some Arrow pipes. It is captivating! I live in a very rural part of Yorkshire, similar topography, only less rain, than you get in Wales. It handles beautifully.
Already booked 3 tours next year.
It is a motorcycling masterpiece.
Great review, done the honours with the like & subscribe.
Best of luck.
Thanks buddy! Welcome aboard. What a bike! 👍🏼👍🏼
Finally a massive bike that suits you. The Trident and others are great for us midgets but that bike really suits you!!
Thanks. Yes it does look right. 👍🏼
I own the Rocket 3 GT I've had it for just over 12 months done nearly 9000 KMS, I've owned 5 Harleys including a 2006 VRod plus a Yamaha Roadstar 1600 out of all these bikes the Triumph Rocket 3 GT is superior to all of the other bikes I have ever owned over the years this is the best bike I have ever owned!
Thanks buddy that’s great to hear! It really is top notch indeed! 👍🏼
Saw one of these when popping into the local Eurosport dealer for a recall on my bike. I spent most of my time there just staring at the rocket 3, and now this pops up in my subscriber feed…. The temptation is real.
Honestly it’s as magnificent to ride as it looks 👍🏼
American biker: JD, joints and brawling
British biker: tea and scones
I thought you were riding away with that lamb strapped on the back in search of a place to bury him for a minute.
Great review of an amazing bike. Thank you. Subbed.
Haha yes we Brits love a cup of tea! Welcome aboard buddy 👍🏼
They performed some kind of miracle getting the weight down on this new version. Looks much better too. When too much motorcycle is still not enough.....
Yes it’s astonishing 👍🏼
The Rocket is an amazing motorcycle ! I am a 90lb weeakling and love it ! The first time I opened the throttle with vigour I thought my arms would tear out of the shoulder sockets ! Magic !!
Yes it’s tremendous!!
The fact that you ride the most badass bike in the universe to stop off for a country cream tea puts you squarely in my top 5 favorite people. Truly the best of both worlds. And I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet little lamb. Thank you for giving her the best life possible. Because of you, she did not leave this world unloved. 🧡
Thanks Emily ❤️
Great Video! Very beautiful looking bike. I think Batman would ride this bike. Sorry to hear about the little lamb :(
Thanks buddy! Yes indeed! Yeah poor little thing
I am mesmerized by the backdrop. What an absolute delight to ride bikes in those roads surrounded by nature!
Thanks very much. Yes it’s very pretty. 👍🏼👍🏼
Great review on an excellent machine. We recently traded our 2020 Triumph Rocket III GT and I have to say it was immediate regret. We put over 16,000 miles on that bike didn't have a single problem with it. My son mainly rode the Rocket and he is a very conservative driver averaging over 40 mpg for the time we owned the bike. Any where we stopped, the Rocket would draw attention. I may have to make room for another Rocket III in the near future.
Ahh that’s a shame. Yes sometimes we all do things we regret. I’ve had a bad few months of wrong bike decisions too
I have the 2020 silver GT version of the rocket 3 was looking to buy a Harley long dream of mine but i stubble on this bike and saw the look of that beast and i never look back, such a joy to ride this motorcycle if i stop somewhere with it people come to me to ask what kind of bike is it,because its not your typical motorcycle you see everywhere. Torque power everywhere its a big machine and its command respect after 40 years of riding all sorts of motorcycles i can say this is for me the Best bike a ever own.Ride safe man.
I need this bike badly. 163 lb ft of torque is blissful insanity. Love it.
I know that feeling! 👍🏼
What a fantastic bike! I want one.
Yes it’s awesome! 💯
Nice one and I liked the cream tea at a swanky hotel idea, I thought that a very clever and original theme, great review as usual, cheers
Thanks bud. I thought I’d do something a bit different 👍🏼
Very precise review enjoy your presentations. I'm a tall man also currently ride Harley road king that I enjoy and Triumph thruxton that makes me smile.
I test rode the rocket GT in early October its is the most impressive power cruiser I have ridden. Yes its a beefy machine but my take away on that point is that is its 200 pounds lighter than the road king. I can see myself in the seat of this splendid machine with the optional bags and taller wind screen. My kids are just going have to get over the fact D Old Dad spent their Inheritance. 😊
My second comment on this video... because I keep coming back to it.
Reason being, I'm looking to get a Rocket, and when I plugged into the search, this was one of the first videos that popped up.
This being the first video I've watched from these gentlemen (I've since watched many!), the pause in the middle of the review, caught me absolutely off-guard. I thought to myself as he walked through the door where the lamb was laying, I thought, there's no way he's going to joke about something like that, and I was grateful that he was not making some kind of joke.
I write all this, because I've watched this video a few times, not as much for the motorcycle, but for the interaction between a large, humble man and a tiny little lamb...
I hope everyone has noticed, that this very large, handsome "Ol' man" has a heart even larger than his exterior. If you listen closely, you can hear as he begins to kneel down to the head of the Lamb, his breathing changes. It's as if he's trying to hold back from crying. Got me choked up.
But I have learned in watching these men's channel, is the brief pauses where we get to see the inside of a church, or unfortunately, watch the Ol' Man on his back in pain.
Anyhow, definitely my top "motorcycle review" channel.
To be a large man, with an even larger heart, there is no bigger man on earth than that.
Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Much appreciated
Sorry, forgot to add, hello from California, close to Yosemite. I'm fortunate that the roads right out of my driveway, in any direction or a biker's dream, this bike should be perfect. Thank you again so much, for such a wonderful production!
That sounds ideal. Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m sorry about the lamb, that’s heartbreaking. Good review of a special bike there, Sir.
Thanks! It was inevitable with her condition. 👍🏼👍🏼
This motorcycle is like a bodybuilder in a gentleman’s suit…beautiful world class bike, mechanical art on 2 wheels
👌🇬🇧🖤🏍💨🔥🔥🔥
Now that is the best description I’ve heard! 💯👍🏼
Bit late getting to watch your video. That bike looks like it has your name on it and wouldn't blame you mate. I test rode one...awesome torque!! Great review 👏
Thanks buddy. If it weren’t for the muddy narrow lanes!
Absolutely beautiful machine. I hope to sneak one into my garage next year as long as the wife doesn’t notice alongside the Africa Twin!
I test rode the R and fell in love. Great review again.
Thanks very much. Yes superb motorcycle 💯
Oh my stars. I mean I know it's "just" a Rocket 3 R with a lick of black paint but what a weapon. Jesus H. Christ that's a lot of bike, a lot of presence and an ungodly amount of power. Also that helmet hair totally makes you look like Heihachi Mishima from Tekken.
Totally awesome bike bro! Haha yes i did a bit 👍🏼
Absolutely love this bike, fantastic looking and it shifts and handles, gotta be said this bike really suits you,and what a location you visited beautiful.
Sorry for your loss,best wishes.
Yes it’s awesome . Thanks buddy 👍🏼🙏
I bought a Triumph Rocket 3 GT triple black (limited edition) several months ago and could not be happier with it. I agree with your comments and could go on and on about it. An amazing motorcycle and a joy to ride. It attracts attention from riders of every stripe. Even people who have never ridden a motorcycle stop and look at it and ask questions.
Awesome! Yes it’s definitely a bike worthy of attention 👌🏼
Impressive motorcycle. Lots of torque and speed. Sounds good on acceleration. Some put it in the muscle cruiser category with eg. the Ducati Diavel. Looks like you enjoyed your cake and tea. Sorry about your lamb.
Thanks buddy 🙏 Yes agreed 👍🏼
Of all the bikes you spoke about recently about being your next purchase, this suits you the most!!
(I would say that though; I’m a bit biased!!!!)
Yes I would have one if I didn’t live in rural Wales. 💯
You are one of the coolest dudes I've ever seen
Planning to get my hands on a Rocket 3 this year
Absolute mean machine. Once again a honest straight up review. Always excellent reviews.
Totally. Thanks bud 👍🏼
My first large bike was a 69 Triumph Tiger 650 twin with a single carb, the baby brother of the Bonny! Holed a piston by not giving it time to break-in and my mechanic friend put 10.5 compression pistons in it for me. It was a great bike, handled well with Avon TT 100 tires at both ends, as wide as the bike could fit and flatbars. One of my favourite bikes but that Rocket 3 would certainly be interesting, great review!
I've had my Rocket for about 4 days now, because of these gentlemen's most incredible content!
You dealerships need to pay attention to these boys!
Best finished bike on the market with the hidden cables and wires. Lovely review!
It’s tremendous! Thanks buddy
Brilliant, and thank you for showing us the lovely Palé Hall.
For a solid set of reasons this is one of my favourite channels on RUclips.
Cheers.
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, your review helped me chose the Rocket 3. I just bought the TFC version, can't wait to ride it. BTW, it is good to see one truly taking care of their animals.
That was entertaining. The effort you put in is appreciated.
Thanks buddy! 👍🏼 💯
Wonderful review as always! I had sat on a Rocket III at my local Triumph Dealership and actually liked how the bike fit me. It had a very comfortable seat and a relaxed riding position. Like the fact there are so many electronic aids to make riding safer for many riding situations. If I do buy one in the future, I will probably start riding it in rain mode to slowly get used to the power and slow speed handling.
Thanks buddy! Yes that’s the best way, Start in rain and work your way up
Absolutely amazing! Best review of this bike I’ve ever seen! Period.
Thanks buddy! Much appreciated 💯
Now that is a proper bike 💪🏻😎
Isn’t it just! 👍🏼
What a beautiful video. Old and cute town in UK, beautiful hotel, cozy place, delicious desserts, tea, fireplace, amazing and powerful bike. This is a total Hygge life you are living over there.
Thanks very much. Yes it’s rather nice! 👍🏼👍🏼
Possibly one of the few bikes That doesn't look small with The Ol' Man sat on it.
A buddy of mine from Central Texas Harley Davidson just traded his one of these in for a Sport Glide. He used to bring his Rocket to bike nights every Wednesday and it was so badass. Tried to take him off the lights on my Low Rider S, no chance lol.
Awesome. Yes they’re pretty fast when you crank it open!
I’ve had this model since newly released, absolutely amazing machine and great technology !! Every time I’m riding I’m grinning like a Cheshire Cat 🐱👍
Terrific. Just found your channel. I’m starting CBT in 2 days after deciding for my 50th I will learn. The rocket has been in my radar for a while, but I always thought it looked over designed. Bobbers and fat boys are my thing. I’m going to go through all your videos and soak them up like a sponge. Cheers.
Excellent. Welcome aboard!
Yes have a look through and you should be able to guage what we think are best
Im so happy I discovered you lads, easily my fav channel for bike content these days. There's a certain charm to your videos that I see to really enjoy! The editing is nice and the layout is awesome.
Thanks very much indeed! 👌🏼
It looks good blacked out, much better than chromed plastic. As you mention, it is a crime big bikes like this have no reverse assist. Hydraulic centre stands would be nice as well.
Yes chromed plastic really is annoying! Like the idea of a hydraulic stand 👍🏼
I wish I could get the blacked-out edition here in Thailand. However; still happy with the standard ones. Picking it up next month. Great video, I enjoy the British class along with the motorcycle culture. It fits surprisingly well.
Excellent video as always. I love that big bike and would have one in a minute.
If I bought one, I think the only thing I'd change is to get some higher handlebars. And maybe a beefier exhaust.
You and Darcy are a credit to the motorcycle community and I for one truly appreciate it.
Thank you.
Eric in Kissimmee Florida
peace
Thanks very much indeed 🙏 Yes it’s an astonishing motorcycle, and always nice to put one’s personal touch to it 💯
New life goal set.
I honestly really liked the part about Pale Hall. It’s part of why you get a bike. Travelling to these great places
Awesome! Yes absolutely 👍🏼
Good video! Nice to see you doing your own style and not copying the others.
Thanks buddy! I’ve never been one for following the pack 👍🏼
Great review and by all accounts a superb machine. When I sat on one (before I ordered a SpeedMaster) it felt really really heavy and I'd simply have to do something to re-configure that rear hugger number plate thing, it's awful.....
It would be interesting to see how long the rear tyre would last with all that power going through it.
It does look super-good in black tho....
It’s remarkable !
I’m more keen on the Speedmaster for myself with the roads round here
Awesome review I have the bike and I would have to agree with your experience , new subscriber here you definitely deserve a lot more subscribers for Such quality content
Thanks very much! Welcome aboard 👍🏼👍🏼
Iv'e had Harleys (along with other makes) for the last 20 years and i love them,i had sold my 2009 Fatboy and i was going to buy one of the newer Fatboys, but then i saw a Rocket Gt on special offer at my local dealer, when i saw it i just had to buy it! it has been a fantastic bike i've done 2 week long tours of scotland on it and a weeks touring in Ireland and it handled all the various road conditions brilliantly and has to be the most comfortable bike i've had. i am getting about 35mpg but if you ride it more sympathetically you would easily get 40 plus mpg. as for tyre wear i changed mine at about 3500 miles as i was going on tour and they were getting close to the wear bars. i would call the GT a muscle cruiser as the riding position is more cruiser with the foot forward pegs and slightly pulled back bars, the only thing i was initally disapointed with was the sound but as i've put more miles on the exhaust note has got a much nicer tone to it. i am spoiled in scotland for great roads and the rocket just loves them!
Awesome! Have you seen the Werkes exhaust? It sounds like a WW2 fighter!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Yes the werkes sounds great, but i've yet to see an aftermarket exhaust for the rocket that looks as good as the standard one
@@blairbluesman yes it does look a bit odd
Go to an exhaust specialist. I had mine modified and it sounds great. They cut and redirect the interior😉. Cost me $600 nz dollars. Thats about 400 quid.
First of all, sorry to hear about your little one. They are so sweet. Thank you for your review of the bike and thank you for mentioning about the open rear fender. One of the few things I do not like about it. I would have to replace that with a solid one after market. Also it would be nice to have some kind of luggage rack if that is possible to haul groceries or gear. A few other color choices would be good as well and a larger fairing. But a spectacular bike overall and I sure wish I could afford one. What a ride! All the best to you.
Thanks very much 🙏 good points 👍🏼
When I tire of my Ktm 1295 SDR, thats my next bike, can't wait, great review brother
I don't know... I watched this review back to back with your earlier one. I think it is brilliantly retro, but as you said, with a totally muscular flare. It is the ultimate motorcycle, with way more power and torque than anyone needs, but with the handling that anyone can enjoy. Triumph really gets their bikes right, especially the details. And it looks like Triumph built this bike with you sitting on it the whole time :) (A 1" riser would sit you perfectly for cruising or touring ...)
It’s certainly a great bike! 💯
Just watched this again. Great review of a great bike. Lovely place to have a cup of tea and piece of cake. Nick
A great review and has got me off the couch and off for a blast on my 3R. Summer nearly here in NZ so looking forward to more riding.
Thanks buddy! Enjoy the rides 👍🏼👍🏼
For me this bike is like my range rover, that could be very comfortable and could make 0-100 better than 90% of cars. And anyway range always has respect by the others drivers on the road. Great moto, i love what Britain makes. And I'm going to buy this bike.
Excellent. It’s astonishingly good 💯
Great review, impressive machine, suits a big fella such as You👍
I did laugh seeing You getting tied up when mentioning reaching 100 mph, great recovery 😁
Thanks buddy. Haha yes I never exceed 30mph 😇
I want to go to that hotel it looks absolutely amazing 🤩 bike looks amazing there 👍
Yes it’s top class!
great video. just found your channel, and i was fortunate enough to find and pick up this very black edition here in NYC recently. can't wait for spring to really ride out some...
looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thanks buddy and welcome aboard 👍🏼👍🏼
Enjoyed your honest review & the cream tea was very classy, sorry about your lamb,i enjoyed your speed triple review aswell very much, safe riding👊🙂
Thanks buddy 🙏 Much appreciated 👍🏼
Absolutely stunning, liked it since 2007 since I saw one running in Pune with 2 pipes on one side nd one on other side
This bike is like the Ol' Man. A gentleman but able to single handedly fight off a battalion of bad guys. 😆 edit: sorry about your lamb. :(
Now there’s a thought 💪🏻👍🏼
I have Rocket 3GT from september 2020. Bike is really impressive. You can not compre any bike with this beast.Best regards from Croatia.👍🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷
Awesome! Yes it’s stupendous!
love the look of the triumph black addition i am glad that you mentioned your Hight im off to look at one tomorrow. i currently ride an indian classic looks like i will be buying a second bike
Great review. I'm a Brit now living in the US and glad these are available in my region (Wisconsin). Just subscribed, cheers!
Thanks very much! Awesome! Welcome aboard 👍🏼👍🏼
🙏
Thanks buddy 👍🏼
The King and her Majesty have indeed summoned the Ol Chap to the Royal residence for a purview of an absolutely stunning vehicle. It really is truly, the Ronnie Coleman and 8x Mr Olympia of motorcycles. This bike exudes a sexy beast. Gorgeous. Triumph is firing on all pistons with it’s line up. All worthy of owning. All legendary Triumph. Well done here Mate. Ride safe and ride often. Peace.
Thanks buddy! Agreed 💯
Thank you again for a fantastic video on this great motorcycle 🏍
Great review, not just how fast it is ,but a real riders view of how it is to ride, excellent review
Thanks Dave, Yes that’s exactly it; in the real world 👍🏼 Glad you liked it
Love the video. The bike, the scenery, the location and editing spot on!
Thanks very much 👍🏼👍🏼
I had a 2005 Rocket 3 for 8 whole days before someone pulled out on front of me and totaled it. Was only able to get 200 miles on that bike and enjoyed every mile of it. I wouldn't mind seeing a new GT version in my stable at some point. I'm curious as to the fuel mileage you got with it.
The engine in that bike sounds like a sports car, absolutely love it. Great review. Cheers
Also need to get to Wales to see that hotel, looks amazing. I wonder if I could rent a Pan America over there? 🤔
Gosh that’s a shame!
We we’re getting pretty much quoted mpg. I wonder if any dealerships have a Pan Am to rent 🤔
I love your honest reviews on all bikes you test ride. My wife and I love this bike but importation to our country ( Trinidad and Tobago)would be costly. But it’s a bike we’re considering as we are 6’4” & 5’ 11”respectively.
Thanks very much! It’s a world class bike and you wouldn’t be disappointed 👍🏼
Thank you for your video from a motocycle, tea and animal lover.
Excellent, review, I’m really tempted by this bike and it’s good to see a taller reviewer, I’m on a speed triple r and I’m 6’1 and finding it cramped on the legs, the rocket looks a comfortable position, I’m going to have to test one,
Thanks buddy. Yes the rocket has plenty of room and is brilliant
Probably not a cruiser in the 2 up Harley style, but non the less it’s a impressive looking bike. You can’t help but turn your head when you see one coming your way. Loved the review - sorry about the lamb - that’s farming………………………
Yes agreed. Thanks buddy 🙏
I have been driving an electric car so the rocket 3r felt like the proper choice to balance things out. The bike couldn't be reviewed/described much more better than you did.
Thanks buddy! 💯
Having bought the Goldwing ya'll reviewed last year and loving it !!!!! I'm now looking fer a little lighter bike for local rides and so far I'm leaning hard in the direction of the new HD Sportster S'- so sorry to hear about the lamb, condolences from Texas - Love the look of the Rocket but not fer me
Thanks bro. We’re trying to get the Sportster S to review. The local dealership can’t be bothered
Been watching your vids for a while. New rider myself…just started this year and thinking about a T100 or Royal Enflield Interceptor to upgrade from my first bike, a BMW 310GS. That Rocket is too much for me right now. Lol. Sorry to hear about that lamb…very sad. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Thanks buddy snd glad you’re onboard. Good choices 👍🏼👍🏼
Like the black accents. What a beast.Thank you for the video.Would be nice to have one of those in the stable.
Yes it looks spot on 👌🏼 Thank you 👍🏼
Great opening sequence. What a beautiful bike, I'd love one in my garage but will have to settle for a cream tea.
Thanks buddy. The cream tea is nice!
Great review as always and great bike...and so sorry about the lamb... so sad.
Another great review! You should conduct a review here in New England on one of our new Harley's along some great open roads. That would certainly be another great addition to your archives!
Thanks buddy! Sounds awesome
Does suit you Ol’ Man but must agree it’s not a bike for Wales. Great to hear the exhaust note when you test a bike too. That mudguard arrangement would have to go for me. Otherwise good if a bit brutish looking bike.
Thanks buddy. Yes the bike is great; the lanes are not!
The Triumph Rocket 3 R Black Edition kind of reminds me of Harley-Davidson's late V-Rod Muscle. With twice the engine! What the hell?! The Rocket bike is almost too impressive if you understand me right?... Is this the girl who is so beautiful that you almost ignore her - knowing the pain of never really getting there would be too great? - No manufacturer has really dared to do anything like this. In some mysterious way, it is just all right... God damn! Now really want one! This is a pain!
Well put! I get you.
The reality is every bit as good as the dream!
The triple black GT is better looking.
Only thing i don't like is that sports bike rear end. The guard needs to extend to the back of the tyre, IMO, like a 1970s Z900 or something. I've ridden a R3R 2020 after putting over 130000klm on two older model R3. The new R3 is definitely better to ride, amazing brakes as well 🇦🇺
Yes with a functional/beautiful rear fender it would be perfect
Wow this is a very serious motorcycle. Appreciate
Appreciate your very professional detailed report. Really like the seat design. I'm sorry about the lamb. Glad you enjoyed the motorcycle Pip cheerio.
Im sold on the new bobber tfc.
Hope you have a great day
Thanks yes absolutely!
Yes the poor lamb will be missed.
The Triumph Bobber is awesome too 👍🏼
Great review as always! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks buddy. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
Top video as always. Any chance you'll be reviewing the new HD Sportster S soon? Thanks for your contribution chaps, you make RUclips a better place 🙏🙏
Thanks buddy. I’m waiting for the local Harley dealership to fit me in. They couldn’t be less interested !
It’s a smooth riding bike I can attest too. I love cruising on the Interstate highway in the USA due to its heavy weight feel. It can run with fast traffic here easily.
