As a former chronic masturbator, I can agree with everything said here. My one small problem is that stimulating yourself to the “plateau” point, then stopping, probably takes more will power than simply not stimulating oneself at all. For those with sufficient discipline, it might be helpful, but others might just fall back into habitual masturbation and dissipation of energy. Beyond that, we live in a society dominated by scientific rationalism, so that all of this sounds like mystical nonsense to many people. That shouldn’t dissuade people, it’s just the times in which we’re living.
There is a biologic reason why someone is a chronic masturbator. And science has all the explanation you need.
People get used to a peak of dopamine that is higher than anything else we have during the day. Unless that reward cycle is broken, we will always crave it.
People do it more when they are stressed or frustrated. Because brain is trained to make us do things that make us feel good.
All that is necessary is to build the discipline necessary to say "no".
A good first step is meditation (not guided) and cold showers. Voluntary cold showers, for at least 3 minutes, will train discipline by entering discomfort and staying there.

So, I tend to have racing thoughts. Recently after going vegetarian and shadow work, etc, I’ve been having massive amounts of energy. I am getting creative ideas and I get over stimulated by the ideas I get. To the point where it gets hard to focus on the task bc I want it done “now”. I feel overwhelmed by the amount of work I have to do and the frustration of wanting it now now makes it hard to actually focus on doing it, basically. A lot of reasons on here for why you might go ahead and Fap it out. However, though Im not in the "no-fap" crowd per-se, the takeaway I got from this is that it can be an addiction. I myself gave it up in search of spiritual refinements on New Years 2024, so I"m just about 3 1/2 months into it at the time I write this. I have been focusing on redirecting my energy to my meditation, chanting, kriya practice, etc. It took several weeks for it not to be an extreme challenge to NOT touch myself, then it go better. There still arise those strong impulses, however, and I will then take to youtube to try to find more information.
This video was very, very helpful for me, because I am sure when I return to it, I will do so in a healthy, self-loving, non avoidance or pain-relief way. The wonderful take-home for me is that is is still an addiction for me, since the urge was so very strong I was starting to feel like after 100 days or so "tonight was the night, baby! light the candles, lol, I'm tired of being strong!"
Now I see that I have some way to go. If were to say "I'm no longer and addict, this is only about self- love" I know at this time I would be lying. Therefore, I will defer the pleasure for now, until more growth and spiritual insight can take me into a space where I will KNOW its not done so through a sense of compulsion.
