Hey Guys we are f***ing shook after this episode 😱💀🪦💔 #RIPNED
Assuming you guys knew that was going to happen already 🥺
BTW we tried some new editing on this video to improve the watching experience 📽🍿
Let us know what you think!
Now Game of Thrones, truly begins!!
Go on your walk lol
It's a tough episode, but a very very good one. Really jumps off from here...
You sweet summer children.
Winter is coming.
Sansa is smiling because she believes Ned will be spared. Ned is giving his false confession for his daughter's life, not to save himself.
48:23 also you can tell that’s a forced smile, you can see how tense her expression is. Probably they told her she had to smile and she did
@5:55: What does Varys have to gain? As he explained several times, peace and stability in the realm. Having a major Lord executed will kick start a bloody civil war and many lives will be lost. The Crown cannot rule the 7 kingdoms with the Starks and the Lannisters at each other’s throat, as explained a few eps ago. If Ned is executed, it is war and several other parties are likely to join (starting with Robert’s brothers, who will be competing for the throne).
Varys is interested in peace and stability only insofar as his plot isn't ready yet, so chaos would be too soon for him at this moment. He'd want war and instability later
@@PristianoPenaldoSUIIII well, war is not Varys’ end game. We cannot discuss it further as it would involve spoilers. War is just a mean. His political approach differs very much from Littlefinger’s.
_"Go stop it Arya"_ - OMG I laughed so hard at that I nearly sat down and rewatched Season Eight! 😆😅😂🤣
😢
lol sometimes people forget arya , the charcter, is like 8.......she impulsive and talk shit but she would have been instantly murdered had she tried to go stop it
Ned did send a raven and told Stannis the truth about Joffrey, Cersei and Jaime, of course he should have been honest, he was marked for death either way but he was thinking of his daughters.
Honest about what????
Honest about WHAT????
Honest amongst political hypocrites???? Don't be foolish about his honor, ever.
@@veot.2869 could have said "joffrey is a bastard!" then he'd have had his head cut off, but then his daughters would be in more immediate peril, honor and honesty need not be mutual
This is all Maesters Aemons fault. He refused the throne so his brother took the throne and his son after him who turned out to be the mad king. 😅
Maester Aemon, the 100yo man at the wall was great uncle to Danny's father. Which makes him Dany's great great grand uncle. He was actually meant to be King of the Seven Kingdoms but he renounced his titles and joined the Night's Watch for reasons.
I love that conversation
In the books he was the great uncle to the King Aerys, the Mad King. In the show he was the uncle of the same king, skipped one generation in the genealogy. Maester Lemon in his talk with Jon tells him King Aerys reigned after Aemon’s brother, but in the books Jaehaaerys Targaryen was the son of Aemon’s brother who reigned after him, and the mad King was the grandson of Aemon’s brother Aegon. He was not meant to be King. When their father died, the two older brothers of Aemons and Aegons had already died. Aemon was the third son and Aegon the second. The second son, their older brother Aerion had a surviving legitimate child when their father King Maekar died, but since Aerion had been insane, dying by drinking wildfire, the Great Council decided to disinherit his infant son, fearing that he was both to young, and that he might have inherited Aerion’s madness. Instead the crown was offered to Aemon, but Aemon had already renounced his titles sixteen years earlier, when he took his Maester’s vows. He refused the offer and instead joined the Night’s Watch to further discourage intrigue against his younger brother Aegon, who was disliked by much of the nobility due to him having lived much of his youth amongst the small folk, and thus being considered as almost a peasant. So in summary, Aemon was already ‘legally’ precluded from inheriting the throne before he was offered it, and also long before he joined the Night’s Watch. Aegon was despite this NOT technically first in line, as his infant nephew Maegor, the son of Aegon’s and Aemon’s older brother Aerion was ahead of both of them in the normal line of succession. So, Maegor got screwed. GRRM has never said or written anything about what happened to that legitimate claimant. He just kind of vanishes from history.
After that even I wanted to go for walkies with you two 😂😂😂
In the show they leave it ambiguous as to whether or not Drogo was poisoned by the witch, Miri Maaz Duur. In the books though it's pretty clear that he was not in fact poisoned. The witch gave him a very specific instructions on taking care of the wound which included resting and not drinking. Drogo did not listen and well....
Drogo didn't listen to Miri Maz Dur's advice because like all the Dothraki, he has an intense distrust of witches.
Oohhh.. so she didn’t poison him! Thanks for clarifying this detail, it was very ambiguous
First of many soul crushing moments. Welcome to the Show....yeah!
😭 we were in denial 😭😭
Lol love how her immediate reaction to Joffrey saying bring me his head was "ARYA. Go stop it arya". Use your brain. Do you really think this was the most watched English language TV show of all time if a 10 year old child girlbossed her way through a whole citt of soldiers and saved the day? Don't worry this show is gonna beat those Hollywood MCU tropes out of you.
Definitely didn’t want to see Ned go in the way he did, but on the contrary it has made this series incredibly exciting to continue watching. We’re glad it started challenging the stereotypical tropes so early in the series. Can’t wait to see what next! #LongLiveNed!
Cersei only wanted force Ned to acknowledge Joffrey as the heir as we see her tugging at Joffrey as he called for Ned's head. She now realizes her miscalculation and the monster she single-handedly created.
I'm enjoying watching you two as much as it seems you are enjoying the series. Great reactions. Keep in mind that there is NO SUCH THING as idle conversations or scenes. In the tapestry of GOT EACH carries weight as plays a role. have a great day and look forward to next week.
"tell en ned"
It's not a Fast and Furious movie. They told Ned her two girls are hostage. He decided to swallow his.pride and confess to false charges for their sake. Any father would've done that too.
We definitely didn’t want to see Ned go in the way he did, but agree that his self sacrifice was necessary to save his daughters
Awesome. Always look forward to your vids. You're doing great. Thanks 👍
Glad you like them, thanks for the support!
Anytime 😊
Welcome to A Game of Thrones guys, learn to look for foreshadowing or trust your gut. This show is very realistic and close to medieval times. Don't get your hopes up and just sit back and try to enjoy :P
She was so worried about Dany that I felt sorry for her and wanted to tell her it's Ned she should be worried about. She's the first reactor I've seen who had that different perspective.
The old guy talking to John is Aemon targaryan who at one point was heir to the throne, he is telling Jon about how he had his vows tested when his family was slaughtered by the lannisters and Baratheons before Robert took the throne. He had to accept what happened despite all the urge to fight for the people he loved and wanted to leave the nights watch to go back to them as Jon wants to leave and see his family.
He was at no pint the legal heir to the throne. He took his Maester’s vows in 217 AC (After the Conquest), and wasn’t offered the throne until 233 AC, when his father died. Much like Jamie is precluded from being the heir to Casterly Rock and the Westerlands due to his King;’s Guard vows, Aemon was likewise no longer in the legitimate line of succession. his brother Aegon was, though actually their infant nephew Maegor was ahead of Aegon in hat line, but was rejected by the Great Council of 233 AC both because he was an infant, and because they were worried that he might have inherited his father’s madness. Maegor's father had recently died trying to swallow wildfire, in the belief it would transform him into a Dragon.
Haha...I wonder how many walks you'll end up going on because of this show...
The walks are going to add up quick! These episodes have sparked our new exercise routine around walking 😂
By the time you're done with the show, you guys will be in great shape! LOL🤣
52:57, He send a letter to lord Stannis in dragon ston.
You seem to be missing an "e". I have plenty of them, so help yourself: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Even though the show is telling you Ned will be executed, then Sansa could be killed, as well as Robb and Catlin, you guys don't seem to understand the stakes until Ned is killed. Once Ned is dead, his 13-year-old daughter is a prisoner of the Lannisters and they could kill her at any time, Arya is on her own in King's Landing, and Robb and Catlin are marching south where the Lannisters will try to kill them, as well. That would be why Varys is trying to convince Ned to lie, and why Ned eventually did lie. I also don't get why so many people think at first glance that Littlefinger is just clever, but Varys has nefarious intent, in spite of the characters' actions. Maybe it's because Varys is bald, and "bald, evil man" is a commonly used trope.
Very well put, Varys works for the realm, where the realm includes all common people. He wanted Ned to live, and fight another day.
This makes a lot of sense hindsight… thanks for explaining! The signs were there that Ned would be killed but we didn’t want to believe that could actually happen.. Ned’s death is also when we realized we’re entering a whole different ball game with GOT 👀
Drogo wasnt poisoned but they choose not to tell you what happened to him despite it is explained in the books
What possible reason would Ned have to blurt out the truth before his death? As long as his daughters are held prisoner by the Lannisters, his hands are tied -- literally and figuratively!
Now it starts to get interesting.. ✌️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved your reaction to this episode!!!
You guys are worried that Ned died with the secret but there are a few others besides the lannisters there is Varys and little finger !!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Appreciate the love! Thanks for the reminder on Varys and Little finger.
Ned sent a note to Stannis in a previous episode.
Something to remember going forward…Ned put love of family specifically Sansa Arya & Robb before his honour.
😭 Ned!!!!! We will be never forget his courageous act
The Sopranos might be the GOAT, its very hard to argue that if this show kept its same quality throughout all 8 seasons.... Thrones very well coulda "taken the crown"
Ned didnt lie. He swore to the seven and by the high septon. Ned doesnt believe in them. Different religion and gods.
Which means he lied, just to different Gods
And yall are only in the beginning... lol. Yall have no idea what's coming. The emotions this show pulls in people are deep....
Welcome to GoT S&G. In this show, anyone can be killed. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Also, the spoiler was given back in E1; Sean Bean in the opening credits.
We didn’t catch that!!! 😅😅😅
Ned Stark sent Ravens throughout the Kingdom about Joffrey, most importantly Stanis Baratheon.
In the book he did. In the show it seems like he only informed Stanis.
He only confessed to save the lives of his daughters, if he 'told the truth' might ruin that.
You’re absolutely right! Ned made the honorable choice to put his family first
Ned told Stannis in a letter.
Oh ya! Thanks for the reminder on that scene, it happened so quickly
@@SandGReactions Hey, it's your first time watching. Your gonna miss stuff.
Oh my sweet summer children
Winter is starting 😭 ❄️
Love this react
Thank you!! ❤️
I think you two were confused about Tyrions story. He doesn't like his father Tywin. His father made him watch his wife have sex with the guards. He actually does like his brother Jamie.
I don't want to sound harsh, but... they seem confused about everything!
Welcome to the f'n show
😭 RIP Ned
OH SWEET SUMMER CHILD
I hate when people share an ear piece, you are only listening to half the music 😑
If you think that this episode was a real twist, hold on to your britches. It shocked me too. I thought they were joking. Like it was a dream or something. The story is just not as straightforward as most stories. Get ready. lol. Thx for the vid.
the game starts there
Damn.. scared for what’s to come.
@@SandGReactions This is the war of the 5 kings.
How did you expect arya to stop the execution? Shes a child lol and the daughter of the so called "traitor". It wouldnt have ended well for her.
Just wanted something, anything to stop it from happening 😭😭😭
...but he's a good person! #sweetsummerchild
That was a turning point for us 🫣
❤🎉😅 🇧🇷💟
I would recommend after watchin' season 1 of GOT to watch:
'Game of Thrones: History & Lore (season 1).
ruclips.net/p/PLOCQRrDDXaseEs3u-Ftbvu5G2TSy4ZwFZ&si=D4Bs1Rvo9ATYngzs
After each season of 'game of thrones' there is a 'History & lore' in-depth breakdown for each dedicated season for context purposes it doesn't give away spoilers.
Thats If y'all want more context and more in-depth backgrond and lore on the characters perspectives and motivations and a better understandin' of this vast world. I find it a great way for new comers to really get a grasp into the series for the non book readers.
Yes, we are planning to watch and react to it! Thank you for the recommendation, we wouldn’t have known about history & lore without the suggestion from you all. ⚔️
