Cersei is Queen Regent and the highest (official) authority in the realm, so she could have just ordered Ser Ilyn not to execute Ned. He could have been saved with _one sentence,_ and Cersei clearly realises what a mistake it would be to execute Ned. But she doesn't do anything except feebly try to talk Joffrey into changing his mind.

“Love is the death of duty” such a heavy lesson and a tough pill to swallow yet it captures the reality.
Damn the dialogue in this first season is perfection. Not a single wasted scene

For reference, Qotho can't fight to be the new Khal. He is Drogo's Bloodrider, and will die when Drogo dies. Him watching Drogo die is him being faced with his own inevitable death.
Whoa. I actually kind of feel sorry for Qotho now. He's losing his best mate, AND his own time is almost up. And from his perspective, it's all because of that little foreign homewrecker (and her pet witch) who whispered into his ear and pushed him towards a fate worse than death. They were at the top of their game before the two of them showed up and ruined everything. Damn.
@KindredKeepsake pretty much yeah. As to feeling bad for them... As bad as one can feel about murderous pillaging grapists who now won't be murdering pillaging and graping any more. The dothraki are no big loss. Fuck em. Mirri did nothing wrong. Dany did singlehandedly destroy Drogo though by giving Mirri a way in.

But unfortunately, they don't seem to be the norm in terms of Dothraki men. It's like they feed them *gunpowder* as children because they have no chill whatsoever. XD

Sansa is the only Stark who understands the game. She knows in order to get what she needs she has to manipulate the king. She has to smile and sweet-talk him. In this particular instance it didn't work, but you can't fault her for trying. I know everyone hates on Sansa but remember that she's only 13 and she is caught in the most impossible of situations.

This show provides the ultimate roller coaster of emotions. At times it is frustrating and others truly satisfying. Even after re-watching several times, witnessing others react to it is just as rewarding as the first time I watched it. Fortunately for you guys, after weekending and season-ending cliffhangers, you don't have to wait a week/year to a year and a half to see what happens next....stay strong and keep a punching bag and a box of tissues nearby.
Oh this is the best thing I have stumbled upon. Y’all are hilarious. You have to keep going. I hate to report, this will not be the most shocked or upset you will be at this show. It’s the best show out there, keeps you on your toes. I will be watching the rest of your reactions from here on out. Have so much fun and PLEASE avoid spoilers at all costs. :)
