This are great because for example for Joffrey when each of you talk about him each one says a different thing but all of them are right, which is thanks too to how grey and layered this show is. "Child". "Incest children". "Too much power", "The reincarnation of the Mad King", "i blame the mother", "he's an idiot", "mad", "sickness".
Another great point is how a big so strong and big as Khal Drogo, dies because of a silly cut

Yes! It was life for a life. The dragons being born is an event that occurred due to black magic. Three life’s were exchanged for the three dragons, the babies, the witches, and Drogos. The witch still kept singing while she burned. Completing the spell. So your right 👍👏
Rhaegal= After her son (Rhaego, or her eldest brother Rhaegal)
Drogon= After Khal Drogo
The third one is Vyserion named after his brother Viserys

wasn't the babies life exchanged for Drogo's? this part confuses me still. the three lives I always thought were the witch, Drogo and Daenerys herself (but that still doesn't make much sense too tho). the witch screaming/singing while burning and completing the magic was something I never knew! that's so cool, I thought it was just a matter of pride or something lmao

I remember seeing the dragons for the first time- I was so hyped. Dragons are my favourite mystical creature so I was very happy!

The thing about Joffrey is he will take any opportunity he can to torture and be horribly violent to someone who cant fight back even if it's not a smart move.
And Sansa started out as a naive, silly girl who dreamed of a fairy tale where she had a great love with the prince, they married, and she went to live with him in a far off paradise.
Its why she yelled "stop it both if you you're spoiling everything" when Joffrey attacked Arya. Then later she was quick to fall for his "I'll never be cruel to you again and I'll love you forever" bs. That childish part of her still clung to that dream... And it died with her father.
Catelyn grabbing Tryion had nothing to do with Ned figuring out who Joffrey's father was, which is what got Ned killed.
Running his mouth about what he knows is what got Ned’s head chopped off. Bobby B did say ‘damn you and your northern honor!’

Yep, dragons and that absolute bastard Joffrey - two key reasons why people were hooked on Game of Thrones early on. (Believe me, MORE reasons come up as the show continues.)

when Sansa was glaring as Joffrey she was think something along the lines of “She could push him off it would kill him it might kill her to if she lived they would certainly punish her but she didn’t care” also I am so happy that y’all are on Sansa’s side so many people hate her but she is a victim and a CHILD!!
It was actually Ned who saved Gendry (Robert's bastard). As long as he's alive, he is a threat to Joffrey's claim to the throne because, unlike Joffrey, he is king Robert's true son. He is being sent to the Night's watch so that Joffrey won't find him.
I think it actually was lord Varis who saved him, according to the books.

Y'all's excitement at seeing the dragons for the first time in the same reaction I had too! Season 2 is a fantastic season!
When the show first aired, the hate for Joffrey was so visceral that some idiots completely lost their heads and took out their burning hate on Jack Gleeson, the actor. The poor guy gave such a compelling, believable performance as a villain that he faced actual backlash IN REAL LIFE. Kudos to Jack.
Same with Lena. They are both so freaking good in their roles, and horrible people confused tv with real life... it's insane

Ned has a lot of great qualities. But he wasn’t smart, he didn’t want to play the game and was honest and straightforward. He definitely underestimated Cersei and Littlefinger. However, Cersei wanted him to live and told Joffrey “my son this is madness” in episode 9 after Joffrey gave the order to take Ned’s head. So while he wasn’t smart with how he played things in Landing, it shouldn’t have cost him his life.
Jack Gleeson really was phenomenal

If Cat hadn't taken Tyrion, he would have told his father that she was on the road and why. And then Ned would still have been stuck with the Lannisters, but Cat wouldn't have had any leverage.

Sansa was fully prepared to kill Joffrey and commit suicide... she's really really broken by the end of this. There is an extra part in the books where she refuses to leave her quarters and just stays in bed not bathing and answering to no one. She goes to the window and seriously contemplates jumping out , it's all very sad, and she is only 11!
Sansa is undoubtedly a strong character! Just wait and see :) but she's despised by lots in this fandom as they fail to understand her character pre- ned's death. The reality is that Sansa was a noble medieval girl brought up to be a proper dutiful lady and she is still an immature child. She essentially represents romanticism in asoiaf, and how reality is often grim and gritty, not like the stories. "Courtesy is a lady's armour" is a mantra she repeats to herself in order to persevere.

I hated the witch. I absolutely understand she was attacked and raped by the riders before Dany saved her but to take revenge on her son & her husband after she saved her life is messed up. She could have easily told Dany I can’t save your husband and let him die instead of tricking her to kill both. I know it’s mean but didn’t even feel bad when she screamed while being burned alive

Well, then. You're a terrible person. The 'HUSBAND' was the genocidal warlord who massacred her village. Her son was killed by Jorah who dragged Dany into the tend she warned Dany to stay out of.
I resented Daenerys for stupidly trusting a random women to "heal" a wound that was nowhere near fatal or even a concern for Drogo. "Drogo gone, for the sake of you"
I couldn’t stand the fact that she implied life isn’t worth living after being r*ped. Daenerys was also assaulted and sold, but she tried to survive. I’ve been assaulted as well and I can’t stand seeing people say my life is worth nothing just because of what happened to me.

In that moment I think Sansa didn't care if she lived or died, but she wanted to kill Joffrey more. She was heading toward him to grab him and jump off together except the Hound stopped her. That was the moment when Sansa earned my respect.

you need to react to "history and lore" are special episodes that come at the end of each season, they expansively tell the story behind the events mentioned during the show in detail, they are a great starting point to understand this world

I think all the Stark children are strong; it's more obvious with Arya and Robb, so it made me really happy that you saw the strenght in Sansa here.
I can't imagine being at the mercy of people like Joffrey and Cersei; especially knowing that Joffrey might kill on a whim. I can't imagine having literal knights in shining armour beat me, knowing that none of the people who are supposed to protect me will. I can't imagine dreading having my period, not for the inconvenience or pain or shame, but because it means the boy who killed my father will put a child in me.
The things Sansa has to endure while remaining alive and defiant inside is thankfully beyond my understanding.
I honestly was the most impressed when she detachedly asked Joffrey "How long do I have to look?" She was perfectly obedient, yet denied him the reaction he was looking for. She took some power from him there, the power to hurt her the way he wanted to.
Regarding Ned, I don't think it's fair to call him stupid, I really don't think he is.
It's mercy and love and honour that is Ned's downfall, not stupidity.
Ned drives a rift between himself and Robert over Daenerys, because he cannot make himself be complicit in the murder of a child (Daenerys is only 13 when she is married off to Drogo in the books).
Ned warns Cersei, because he knows Robert might kill her children when he learns the truth, and Ned can't make himself have the blood of innocent children on his hands.
Ned refuses to tell Robert out of love for his childhood best friend.
Ned refuses to back Renly's claim, or hide the truth about Joffrey, out of honour.
And then Ned dishonours himself to protect his child, because "love is the death of duty".
I think Daenerys' story this season was so powerful. She starts as a mere pawn for her brother, then gains power through her position as Drogo's khaleesi. In another future, she might have claimed power and prestige for being the mother of "the Stallion Who Mounts The World".
But Drogo dies. Her baby Rhaego dies.
And Daenerys claims a power all her own when she performs a miracle; waking dragons from stone using blood magics. As dragons are born into the world once more, so is Daenerys Targaryen reborn as the Mother of Dragons.
Just a guess here but something tells me you guys will love this til about season 8 episode 4!

In case yall didn't know and still confused about Dang birthing a child like that: Targaryen women have been known to birth dragon-human hybrids. The theory is its because the Valerians used magic and performed experiments to try and create half human half dragon children.
