    it's all to do with circular motion and taking your opponents balance. Once you have control of their balance you have control of them.

    Go to ' Yao Zong xun ' to see a "Y I Chuan " pre-cursor to this. It seems to be
    related to Ba Gua also, since they love to get " behind " you.

      I have studied bagua for some time and recently realized if this is done with internal principles, bagua principles, one would develop something similiar to bagua, a moving root. Over time one would be able to feel the chi move to the arms if done with internal principles. I now use this training exercise combined with my bagua principles. The principles missing are natural and Osensi was probably natural.
