Misinterpreting the rules because they are poorly written is one thing. Forgetting certain rules because there is so much to keep track of is something I can sympathize with. Deliberately cheating is something I do not accept or forgive. Especially during Christmas time.
Hi, North! Not sure I'll be able to go through with it, but I'm tossing around the idea to a 3 month army. One month to come up with the concept and kitbash it together, one month to paint it, and one month to build a table of terrain for it. If i end up doing that, I'm going to upload some videos for it, at least one for each month!
Merry Christmas north. Also my wife and I love Halloween and spooky shit so much, since our actual anniversary was ambiguous and close to it we got married on Halloween. Vacation time aside we will never have to work another Halloween or Halloween weekend again!
Tournament Organizers are why I stopped playing in tournaments. When they were mixing in house terrain rules with official game rules and not telling people and not bothering to properly check army lists before games begin is just too much. Some of the players can be childish but Tournament Organizers are supposed to be impartial and thorough. I enjoy casual games much more as I can choose to avoid known liars and cut throats.
My biggest project as far as hobby goes is getting 2000 points of Tyranids to a tabletop quality paint job, I've got a great headstart from the few things I've got done this year! The broader "community" goal is getting my brother hooked, or at least interested enough to play games against me 😅 he's got roughly 1500 points of Prospero's Thousand Sons under the Christmas tree from me this year, so at least he's got a good pile of shame already!
Im getting a box of plague marines and blightlords terminators, to kibash and use it as incentivization to finish my dark imperium box, my first blightlord terminators, Typhus and Mortarion. [Edit] Not buying directly from Games Workshop, of course.
My 2025 project is gonna be a forgeworld telemon as a centerpiece for my Custodes army. Gonna be my first airbrushed model and I'm going to pour my heart into the model
My new year’s projects huh… probably I want to finish up the last of my Carcharadons to fill out 2k points. Then I’d like to really get a move on exercising my new printer and chuck out some World Eaters and Harlequins. I’m currently in talks with husbands of two more coworkers who like 40k but don’t play yet… I’ll get them eventually!

I’m making Praetorian Guard regiment that will hopefully be ready to go early next , and will be bolstered by a few Kriegers if I can get my hand on that box lol Merry Christmas everyone.
I'm in heavy anticipation for the STALKER board game I Kickstarted. Especially after being addicted to the STALKER 2 video game. I can't wait to start painting some mutants!
My project is to get back in to the hobby. I lost my hobby room to storage and i lost a good bit of excitement because i had just spent a ton of money and time on a GSC list right before they got nerfed.
i have no problem walking away from a game if its not going to be fun. tournament or not. This is why i believe you had to have all the rule books your using at the tournament and not the internet. As for hobby, I will be painting models i print, that have nothing to do with warhammer.
Christmas isn’t about spending money North. It’s about the birth of Jesus Christ and celebrating that fact with your dearly beloved. Even if you aren’t a Christian, you have to acknowledge it is fundamentally a religious holiday. It’s only commercialized if you allow it to be. My beef with Halloween is that pretty much nobody remembers the original point of the celebration, that being All Hallows Eve. The day before All Saint’s Day. Of course, I might enjoy it a little more if I had my own little ones to take trick or treating. Still got to find the right lady before I can manage that one.
My goal for 2025 is to get all of my 2k tyranids painted and 2 sets of the new Hivestorm terrain painted to a satisfactory level. I also have some GSC models that I want to paint up before getting more =)
Honestly this is going to sound like a totally cynical thing to say, but as a person you get possibly 10 amazing Christmasses (from ages 5 to 15ish) and then it becomes a social contract and set of chores. Keep it up for the kids in your families, but as adults I feel like an agreed non-exchange of gifts needs to be more normalised. Also there is a special place in the circles of hell for people who gleefully "countdown to Christmas", even moreso if they say it's "X number of SLEEPS" (where did this even come from?) as opposed to "X number of days"
regarding when people say "auto include" a trait I have is to literally do the opposite when people say that... have I ever won a game? nope, but I'm not letting some smarmy prck tell me what I should do 😂😂
