As a Kenyan living in England, I can say that Kenyan houses and thier manicured gardens are a mirror of English houses. In England, majority of the houses have similar gardens no matter how small the land is. In Nigeria the houses are also good but majority of them are built on land which is basically concrete jungle with no manicure gardens or trees. The other advantage of Kenyan houses especially in Nairobi and Central Kenya, the weather is so cool that there's no need for air conditions. To the contrary, the houses are built with a fire place or chimney just like in the UK.
Well laid out
Would it be a problem to make properties there more Afrocentric, what's with the fascination with the UK? Are you not Kenyan??
@@richquarters1066 thank you 🙏 I hope he reads your message.

THANKS FOR SHOWING WHAT KENYA 🇰🇪 HAS TO THE REST OF THE WORLD 🌎
Thank you for guiding me on this tour 💪
well done showcase good job guys
1.2 million dollars isn't minimalist, choose your words carefully
Beautiful modern design house in Kenya with a big yard and pool. This $1 million house will probably cost $15 to $20 million in Miami Beach and Bel Air, Los Angeles.
I just love the design, its so spacious, contemporary design 💯👍
I loved it too.. thanks for watching
I really enjoyed this video. Living in the US, most homes have a nice yard and pool in Texas, so its so good to see the clean lines, modern finish homes with the yard and pool in Kenya as well. I do international real estate and will be reaching out to partner with Agents locally.
Thanks for watching Irene
Yeah until a hurricane shows up?? Look at Florida right now??and with the paper house you don't stand a chance...I live in Boston we get snow roofs caving in??? I never understand why north American house are the way they are with all the technology??
This home is absolutely gorgeous! I love the design and functionality of this home. I swear Kenya and South Africa have a lock on home design in Africa. The attention to the smallest details aren’t unnoticed. I am a huge fan of Modern Contemporary design and to the people complaining about it need to know that this is the current design that is global. The house is stunning.
I love the greenery but I hate these San Francisco prices in Nairobi without tech companies. I’m sitting here in Atl contemplating on how much housing you get for that price and it doesn’t match up.
Nairobi is nowhere near San Fransisco when it comes to prices! This is one of the most expensive properties in Nairobi, there are many great properties that cost less than $200k
Exactly
One arce goes upto 7 million USD forget about Sanfransico

Your videos are always on point. Kudos ✊🏾
Thank you
I really like the swimming pool, how its partitioned for the kids as well 👌
Well done Steven Ndukwu. I must commend your creative videos, very inspiring and quite educative. Interestingly, I observed that in most houses people neglect the role HSE- Health, Safety and Environment plays, features like Emergency Exit Doors , alternative to the wooden staircase , muster points, Fire and Heat detectors, sprinklers, Four water points for the Fire Fighters in case of Fire Out Break. Also I noticed when you opened the Wardrobe there was no automatic power lit up. In all the greenery, the clean pool and the aesthetics were amazing. Thumbs up.
Thanks for pointing it out
I’m loving Steve’s corporate look🤫🔥🔥🔥

Printer homes are the best in Kenyan home content.. quality videography on anaa level
Fam, Naij’s real estate has a long way to go. Tired of the “Ultra Modern Luxury” white tiles, bathtub size pools and Hisense ACs.
True...Overpriced houses with no quality in Lagos.
I swear. Very long way to go compare to some other African countries. We focus on cashing out rather than comfort
thats bc its in lagos, its over populated thats why land is very expensive
@@oliviaokpara8877 that “overpopulated” yarns about Lagos is just a myth. Fact is there’s no plan for urban development. Every new housing project is on the island. There’s space in Badagry, Ajah etc…. Build new hubs there, attract the middle class/ upper middle class. Even in the new estates in Lekki (Pinnock Beach etc), there should be a housing district plan. For example; each house should be on half an acre (3plots) and provide space for greenery and trees. Lagos property developers are selling 400 sqm homes with nothing for over $1m, talking about “there’s no space”
Because you don't know the history of Lagos state Nigeria island
the problem with our builders and architects' is that they are always very mean with space hallways, staircase, living room bedrooms, walkin closets etc we are very mean with space
Scarcity
This is amaizing. Good job Steven 👍 you are doing well. Karibu Kenya

Hi, new sub here. Like your videos. Clear view of architecture. Are you using drone??
Excellent property 👌👏🏻👍.
I think the primary room (Master’s) has only one toilet and a bidet as against the two toilets they both alluded to
I love this❤️
My former house Deerpark house no 6 was my home .
I just found SteveNdukwu videos!!!. This villa is huge and smart
Welcome to the family
For 120M, the staircase should be wider as well as the walk in closet
i like how balanced the colors are, apart from the floor which i would have designed to be more neutral (a warm gray maybe).
the concept of Service Kitchens and Presentation kitchens is catching on steadily. every one needs a service kitchen!!
i highly Recommend a WC/Bidet set up for any bathroom. excellent for hygiene.
i don't know why i expected to see a free standing bath tub(with a view), felt like one of those could have complemented the bathroom well.
All in all, this whole property is contemporary excellence. just my two cents.
Valid points, thanks for watching

The other kitchen isnt 'utilising excess space' because the house feels congested....its called a chef's kitchen

Good job bro am Wycliffe from Kenya 🇰🇪 thanks for coming
if only the pool could be infinity hedge and the wall of that outdoor kitchen could be tuck in type then id agree with that price
Very spacious property!
This house is stunning on a high note, the outdoor spaces are mesmerizing , a feature lacking in Nigeria luxury homes, the outdoor kitchen, sizeable pool, staff quarters, etc, wow. A $1.2 mil home in Nigeria would be on about 1000 - 1,200sqm lot, and it would be completely concrete exterior, then the builder will put a strip of lawn somewhere on the floor 😅. Too much greed here for land, it's all about compacting buildings together for more profits, without thinking of a decent lifestyle for the would be buyers.
Nice
Multi billions🔥🔥
Hummm this neighborhood is sooo posh Gosh
worth it
its a good house
Did anyone else notice how there are no anti mosquito window screens and anti burglar bars on the windows and doors. Bro thanks for this video, I learnt valuable lessons from this video. A house like this in my country Nigeria's capital city (within AMAC) would be anywhere from $3.6m (N1.5b) and from current happening is not even a better place to live,I say that with all humility and honesty
Lol.. the area is very secured.. thanks for watching
Hey man how’s it going?
How much do you think a house like this would cost to build?
That's a very narrow pool, 1.2 million should come fully fitted with a gym equipments and a larger staricase
Love your hair
Thanks
What was the size of the land?
Nigerian houses are magnificently massive but their compounds are concrete jungle.
True
Beautiful house! Notice how there are no burglary? I remember how one client almost swallowed me when I designed huge floor to ceiling windows without iron burglary! 😂😂😂
And Steve please you have been doing this for sometime now hence I will not overlook your ignorance about simple things like 'Bidet'... (he said his and hers toilet 🤔😆😓)
Lastly this is a house I would actually buy for that amount not all those trash I see done by developers in Lagos selling at ridiculous amounts!
Thanks for the correction 😂
I’ll buy this house
who is the company.that provides water to the house and electric company that provides electricity to the house instead of using a generator?

Beautiful property but sorry I can’t pay $1.2 million even if I have the money. I observed property prices in Kenya are on a high side. Can someone explain the rationale behind the high cost of houses in Kenya?
Corruption
Depends on the location you building at
@@antony6799, This property is located at the most expensive area in Kenya right? and that’s why is pretty high I assume..
@@stanleymilimu7607, My brother corruption is everywhere. Lol
most of these areas are priced like this to keep a standard for the wealthy ie only wealthy neighbors. In some neighborhoods you will see apartments at 20m+ but really its a way to encourage only exclusive buyers
Is renting available houses like this?
Am buying the house Steve remember to ask for your commission.
For sure lol
As a Kenyan living in N. America , our swimming pools are heated and have automatic rigid covers to go over the pool, both for child safety and winter. Most Canadian homes are smart homes, with no intercom as all concealed Nest, Google, Ring, etc cameras monitored via smart devices you can access in any part of the world. If my door bell rings my iPhone chimes and I can see and answer from anywhere in the world. Almost every electrical device in a typical Canadian home is remotely controlled via IPhone and built in IPad. The raised sinks here are clumsy and dated. Too much glass or the windows could be one way or tinted. Powered shades over the window is another way to go. Overall this home’s architecture is impressive. The finish is high class. With great climate in Kenya, this lovely house badly needs landscaping, hopefully from Canada, Netherland or USA. I think the builder should tour Canada see how they build state of the art homes. Having traveled all over the world I find Canadians lead the world in building immaculate modern homes. Kenya can learn from them.
🤣🤣🤣you mean them paper houses getting blown away by the wind every day????smart houses with dumb architecture??...I live in Boston....you would think they would improve the caving roofs because of snow storms or flooded basement....look at Florida right now🤣🤣🤣.,..the hurricane basically fu$cked everyone up(Kenya has concrete houses....I have a flat roof (no wind whether 180 miles per hour is taking my house)🤣🤣🤣....it might break my windows but my house stays...... maybe north America needs how to build houses like we do in Africa...by the way we have the technology in Kenya too if you didn't know......so get your head outta Canadas behind
Can the house be furnished I like it
Hi steven ndukwu, check houses in kenya runda and kitusuru by hervic agencies, they are way cooler than that one
This is crazy,120 million without furnitures!! inside is really empty..
Tour it again but with furniture
Hey Steven, just wondering but roughly what percentage of Kenyan citizens could afford this kind of house roughly? The 0.1% richest? Thank you.
You have no idea these houses are owned by Kenyans a couple actually only difference is some prefer building their own rather than buying since building it yourself is way cheaper
You can see space is ample here unlike in Nigeria good designs but too much squeezed.
Oh well, I agree
Exactly, overpriced properties in Naija.
The population is much larger than Kenya. About 25% more than Kenyans so obviously its squeezed. 10 mill population to 250 mill population. You gone to America and see them poor people too but in Las Vegas they get them big houses at 39,000,000.
@@mackenzietheofficial Kenya has a population of 54 million.
Amazing glass house but again, built in the wrong location. For that amount and for such an open house, the best views are neighbors. That is what is called wasted potential. Such a home would utilize its potential if perched atop an escarpment or mountain, overlooking a valley etc. That is where value comes in.
True but Nairobi doesn't really have a location like that. You would probably have to go outside of the city for that
Is this house available?
They are sold out though it’s why I left.
Is the house available for sale now🧐??
Which
What would it take for me to own that house🤔
Money
Belief that good things can happen to you, first. What you seek is seeking you.

It depends with where you are. ....if your neighbor is world bank residence and UN then u don't need to worry.
@@ibrahimathman2679 sorry sxb. You think those kinds of pple you mentioned don't have guns?
This house is absolutely amazing but let's be honest no Kenyan in their right mind would spend kenya shillings 120 million for this house even though it's located in one the most porshe estates in Kenya. With 120 million Kenya shillings you can afford to build an apartment complex that'll give you a rental income of at least 1.5 million kenya shillings build an exact replica of this house, buy a V8 car, start a business and still have some money left in the bank.
People spend all that money as much as you think they don't. And they still have other properties that generate income and still drive expensive cars.
@@carolmakena3929 Your point being?
@@alexwilliam8344 my point being, contrary to your opinion, some Kenyans are in their right mind to spend 120m for such a house or any other for that matter
@@carolmakena3929 I surely would like to meet one of those Kenyans' you're referring to.
I surely hope that you do realise that those Kenyans' in their right minds who spend 120m on this or any house like you've stated belong to the elite capitatist class of kenyans who earn their fortunes at the expense other kenyans. How much money do you think the construction workers got paid to build this house?
Has anyone bought it yet
With most of the house being glass, I would worry about security, how secure are these windows? well, Karen is a secure neighborhood but still.... Nothing extravagant about it so not my style of property . Anywho, that's just MY opinion ; to each their own I guess .
You must have grown up during the 90s when house breakings were a norm. Today with the increase of the middle class and the growth in the economy, house burglary has been rendered futile because the items the thieves used to steal from house breaking were items like TVs, and videos decks which are now so many and cheap in the market that stealing it will not earn a thief anything worth the risk. Also with the introduction of gated communities, it is very rare to have burglars go breaking into houses.
Karen is very secured
@@dwamburu1 what are you talking about? You mean to say TVs and video decks are the only things you could come with when security is mentioned? We have heard of instances where theft has happened even in gated communities where security is presumably high.
@@StevenNdukwu I wouldn't be so sure but if you say so 🤷
You are entitled to your opinion sis
Oh dear lord. $1.2 million for this? It's definitely squeaky clean, I'll give it that. $300k at best
300k not in Karen 😂
Ideally it should go for 300k. I don't understand what is going on in the Kenyan property market. It's ridiculous. Utilities, security, roads etc are poor, even in Karen, yet the house is 1.2 million. It's nuts, this is Nairobi not LA or even Austin.
Land cost is bananas in Karen
@@antokinyua23 Yes, that's a huge part of the problem. Not as expensive as Muthaiga/Kitisuru etc but heading there.
Its caren the land price is probably larger than the house price

@Enock Willy That's still a rip off and the garage is out side not covered you wont get that here...
