@franklin3153🇳🇬 as a man thinketh so is he. If you think you'll be poverty stricken as a Nigerian that is the way you will remain. But I will advise you to stop cursing yourself with your mentality and your words because these two are so powerful to determine who you are. Millions and millions of of Nigerians are doing very well in Nigeria and exceptional, exceptionally well. millions of Nigerians are billionaires ! millions of Nigerians are multi millionaires. Millions of Nigeria are not building houses anymore but they are rather building estates or building their own little villages ! There are millions of us who can eat three square meal comfortably without bothering our selves with the government .why don't you choose to be ahead instead of struggling with those at the bottom . We are supposed to be a blessing to those who are the bottom and not to join them because joining them will only make matters worse for them. if you want to remain in poverty I will say well done continue in your poverty. It is good for you. It is only those who have poor mentality that wait on the government to feed them. I don't need the government to o survive ! all I need is God in my life to move ahead. God says our sin is the problem not the government. But I pray you will ask God for direction and use your common sense before it is too late ! Because those who are poverty stricken will always attempt the wrong things that always cut their life short. Like right now hell fire is waiting for so many people who are going to protest so that they can drink their blood in hell fire ! only a foolish person will go and protest knowing that violence will be the end. Lagos State went 10 years backward after the last protest because more than 10 trillions worth of properties were destroyed. Only foolish people can go and be destroying properties, killing people, and stealing things in the name of protest. I said they are foolish because those who destroy properties will never own their own properties because they have laid a curse for their foundation. those who kill will be killed and those who steal , will always have thieves visiting them from time to time to steal from them. And those who participate protests will not be able to make heaven because they opened the door for so many other people to be killed ! Every seed a man sows. When I was struggling in life I was still giving my little to the poor and now I can comfortably do without working for 6 months and yet still eat well because I have sown into the lives of the poor ! Do you know how many people have died in Kenya protests ? Kenya is a very small country compared to Nigeria so do you know how many people are going to die if there will be a protest in Nigeria ! Only people who have no value for their lives will go and do such protest knowing the government will also be waiting and in the process of conflicts some of them will be killed ! I pray that will not happen to you Jesus name ! I am now in my middle ages, hardly have l heard of Nigerians in Nigeria doing two or three shifts just to eat or make life okay for himself or herself. Here in Nigeria I can choose not to work for 6 months and still eat well. But you know you dear not try that abroad. Even the taxes is enough to finish all you have worked for in one year. Abroad is not a place for people to live if they want to survive ! I would like to end by saying that God has promised that Nigeria would be one of the greatest countries in the world 🌍 but that is only if we will repent of our sins. I know that greatness is coming and I'm looking forward to it. Many people from abroad are already moving into Nigeria waiting for that prophecy to be accomplished am I praying you no loose out of it ! I pray you will wait for it and not join those who will loose their lives soon ! Once again I would like to say I am too proud to be a Nigerian. I am so blessed that God made me one. God did not make a mistake to make me a Nigerian 🇳🇬 and I am so grateful to God I am one !!!
Oh my goodness! This dilapidated mess is NOT the same Ikoyi of the 80's and 90's. It used to be very clean with everything intact and in good working order. It also had some old, otherworldly charms to it. This actually makes me sad to see. Edit: The pleasant people makes up for it😊

I see no reason why all roads in Ikoyi should not be perfect and world-class. Are those Billionaires also waiting for the Government? They must be highly irresponsible. You are doing a great job. Thanks
Ikoyi has good roads majorly and all tarred. That part you saw is an inner Street at Ikoyi Crescent cos i know the area very well. There's a reason the roads like that as you could see a few colonial buildings still standing unlike other parts of Ikoyi were the old buildings have given way for modern ones. In no time the road would be fixed.
@mrnaija101 Even the inner roads shouldnt look unkempt. This is government oversight. So much big houses and offices yet the inner roads are an eyesore
@@FreddyPateki Stop making excuses! I live in Ikoyi. You don't have to tell me anything I don't know. The roads are effing sh!t. Stop defending this underdevelopment we are facing as people. Are you seeing the huge open-gutters everywhere? Can you see such in prime areas in other countries? I haven't only in Nigeria.
Why should the rich fix what they are already paying taxes for? Hold your elected officials responsible for the infra decay, not private citizens who are already overburdened with providing their own water, electricity, and security.

Edit: The pleasant people makes up for it😊
I get the feeling people are retreating more and more behind their compound walls. You are not wrong.
The people, however are an absolute joy 🙏 🇳🇬

I’m not sure how it exactly works, Lagos State vs Federal. But I do notice all the roads around the Jagaban’s house suddenly looking very good…
@@FreddyPateki Stop making excuses!
I know you will settle this guys
Miss my home. The peaceful serenity of ikoyi
