as a fellow australian i can FEEL him trying not to swear almost all the way through
@Brain Freed bruh one of the schools I used to compete with their chant what “Goosie Goosie Goosie, Oi, Oi, Oi!” (Their school was gooseberry hill)
@Brain Freed Nah my school was trash
Me toooooo
So bloody true
lol yes
i know he is Australian but his American accent on the kissing booth is so freaking good
i thought he was American but lived in Australia so this was surprising lol
Nit really but ok.
@@user-xr8hb3cy7j everyone has different opinions, most people did think the accent was spot on.
Faiza 。 “everyone has different” “most” stop contradicting ur self xx
@@user-xr8hb3cy7j Sure? I'm genuinely telling the truth, compare the number of comments and you'll see that around 1 in 10 people think it wasn't that great of an accent. "xx"
I cant be the only who only just found out that he is Australian
Count me in, 1 day after you lol
The only reason I clicked on this cause I thought it was a joke
just found out today!!!
katelyn gray I didn’t either 😂
dude same
he seems infinitely friendlier with an Aussie accent lol
We are extremely friendly
Im literally Australian and sitting here listening to him teach aussie slang just to see if he explains it right lol
I love watching Aussies explain Aussie slang for some reason too haha.
Haha I so agree, I did that. He could add a lot more. But the goon, the biggie smugglers are so true.

True... It's so weird!
"He uses Australian slang to explain Australian slang, i don't understand.."
Me, an Australian: "What do you mean? He's pretty good at explaining."
same lol
He does use terms that I assume are Australian in his definitions e.g. nog. Not an issue just makes us more curious. It’s more fun to hear him than googling. 😀
I'm not Australian, yet I understood it.
Hahahahahaha lol
it took some time for me to understand "poyoooa beeeyaa" @1.54
If I drink a shot of tequila for every time he said “bloody” I would be completely maggot
Yeah saying "bloody" is a every day bloody thing just like f*cken
Absobloodylutely
And it should be “maggoted”
He’s probably trying not to say “f*cken” ... it’s the standard Aussie interjection. We swear (curse) like it’s breathing.
hes trying not to swear because we swear every sentence most of the time
He’s someone that looks like every Wattpad character in them Teen Romances
When i saw the thumbnail i thought "josh hutcherson looks different since hunger games" 🤣
well his first big role was a wattpad book originally 😂

Fr I watched kissing booth first (man do I regret that, idek why I watched all three - cough Marco cough) and I hated Noah then I started watching euphoria and I hated Nate and here I am, fangirling over this man ✌️✌️✌️
Common sense
I love how he’s trying to teach Australian slang and when he tries to explain it more simply he just says another form of Australian slang for that same word.

I wish they let him just speak in an Australian accent in movies he would gain so much attention.
frrr
Like Cate Blanchett she does that
Unfortunately the role(s) his playing are supposed to be American therefore he has to have american accent 😉
it doesn't fit the character tho
I like his English accent better.
I looked up dropbear and its basically a carnivorous type koala that is entirely a product of the Australian mind, made specifically to scare tourists. And Jacob went along with it.
Ummmm… my dad was killed by a drop bear. Theyre no joke. Definitely beware of them
no they're real i've seen someone's dad been attacked. it was pretty bad.
Given that the percentage of lethal wild animals present in Australia reaches astronomical levels, the mere fact that this required fact checking makes me wonder if this was actually true as described by him.
I've seen them. They look cute but if you come across one flippin run! They're sneeky and aggressive!

They sensor fxck but they say bloody lololol
I’m Aussie and I say bloody all the time lol I didn’t even know it was a sweat word well apparently it bloody is
@Isabella Surman-21 bloody ain’t rlly a swear word mate. But here in Britain we say it religiously as well😂
Well it is known as the Great Australian Adjective.
.
“Once upon a time” when I was a kid (in the 50s) bloody was a swear word and you got a belting if your Mum or Dad caught you saying it. Funny thing is, as a kid, I never heard the F-word, it was always bloody this or bloody that and then gradually over time it was replaced by the F-word thanks to the influence of American movies. Sadly it’s the way much of our Aussie vernacular (I remember as a kid) is slowly disappearing because of our exposure to American tv shows and movies (not a criticism just the way things changed over the years) e.g. never heard the word “guy” to refer to a male, it was either “bloke” or “fellow/fella”.
If you remember Steve Irwin, he was a classic at using the Aussie vernacular that I remember growing up with.
Bro why us there a comment directly above you that says this word for word I-
Being an Aussie listening to another Aussie explaining Aussie terms. Is a whole new experience. Like most of them I've heard and yet I still don't know all of them. And the Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi is mainly said around Australian day and or said when you feel like making fun of it as its pretty dumb like making a dinosaur sound just makes you laugh
I do not mean this in a mean way I am simply informing the yanks (also I am Australian) a "Yarn" is a Indigenous term for having a chat. In our culture we have yarning circles which is a traditional meeting place to talk, Just letting everyone know enjoy your lockdown💌
Cool

im australian and i use these slang words everyday. and yes we have a weird culture but we are bloody proud of it. And certainly, at The Australian Open tennis matches as well as NYC when I've attended, and Pat Rafter or Leyton Hewitt were playing. Rafter back-to-back US Open champion was awesome!
What are you talking about mate? The Aussie Aussie Aussie chant is STANDARD at any sporting event!
