He went from Kissing Booth to Euphoria. A GLOW UP!
And now he needs to film the second one... i feel for him
Wtf i didnt even know he was from that movie, he looks different
Rebekah Gonzalez FRRRR but different good 😍
Ok i did not see kissing booth and i did not think he was all that cute but i found a random euphoria fmv and i fell in love with nate's uhm uhm outside and now im more interested in him lmao
FR in the kissing booth..I thought he was ugly💀but now I’m euphoria and irl I’m like wait wtf he’s so hot😂😂
"i had to take whatever script i could get" he's talking about the kissing booth😂
Boul Shyte the kissing booth didn’t show his talent AT ALL
Lmao the SHADE
he got the role of the show first actually
Where is it in the video
Reese James right n I don’t blame him he said that ppl were just liking him because of his looks n not talent. I think he got the role of Nate before Noah, if that was the cas ppl can stop sayin kb is the only reason he relevant
His performance in that scene with his dad in last episode...EMMY WORTHY it was incredible I got chills. Great job!
Omg yesss even tho I hate Nate. That scene was just soooo raw and it made me wanna give Nate a hug and comfort him.
Agreed so so good !
AGREED! I actually started crying because of the emotions I got from his performance!
Omg Yes so intense..but it was real🤔
Im pretty sure he started bleeding irl doing that scene
I would've never guessed he'd be so shy and genuine. Of course, I know he's not his character but it's pretty rare to see any "actor" so introverted or soft spoken. A real testament to his talent.
You would surprised by the amount of wild performers are actually more introverted
vanessa john it’s pretty cool to think about how lots of artists and performers are introverted and use their art as the expression that they can’t express conventionally and so when they do, they can sometimes end up outperforming more socially active people
vanessa john fr the person who plays Bryce in 13rw too
reminds me a lot of dacre montgomery who plays billy in stranger things
Kristen Stewart is very much like that, you can tell she struggles with interviews because she is so reserved. But, tbh she doesn’t play really loud characters.
Thank GOD he got this role. If he had to keep playing roles like the Kissing Booth the world would have really missed out on an outstanding actor. What an amazing talent!!!
I hope this is not terrible to say, but Nate is my favorite character on the show. We talk about Rue and Jules and they are both great-but Nate’s portrayal was done so well, I actually felt bad for him but hated him at the same time.
True that...
There’s no excuse for his violent outbreaks though.
@@alishag1662 anyone who manipulates and brutalized people the way Nate does is a villain. He is not misunderstood. We all watched the show, we know he has trauma. We just know that his trauma is neither an excuse nor a justification for his actions. It doesn't make him a victim of his own actions. He took his trauma and rather than deal with it, decided to traumatize and victimize others. Almost every villain has a tragic backstory, it doesn't make them any less of a villain.
@@alishag1662 Just because we don't feel sympathy for him doesn't mean we don't understand him. That's an angle I see y'all use more and more when trying to defend these clearly malicious characters in these shows. It's not a good one. You can like or dislike a character while acknowledging that they are bad. Reducing the ways in which Nate abused so many people to a young man just trying to figure himself out is extremely problematic. Nate's actions go far beyond just trying to figure himself out.
Diana Dúbravská if he’s your favourite character, that’s bad. That means he’s doing a bad job. Nate is meant to be a bad guy like Bryce from 13 reasons why. If you hate him he’s doing a good job. The audience is meant to hate nate
He genuinely doesn't look like his character haha I totally get what he means. Like yes, of course they are the same person but how he holds himself and his facial expressions are all different. It's incredible.
Wow he is so nervous and uncomfortable... he can’t even sit still lol I’m almost having a hard time hearing him because he speaks so softly... he even keeps looking down which is such a sign of not being super confident.. surprising to see actually. I know he’s still new to these big opportunities but he’s so talented and it’s nice to see him be himself lol
For the record, jacob was one of my best friends at school, he is definetly one of the most if not the most confident person i have ever met and known.
Matthew Cannata I didn’t mean he isn’t a confident person in general... he just seems awkward in this interview because he looks at the floor a lot when he speaks and is constantly fidgeting and moving around in his chair, and as I stated before it’s kind of hard to hear him during a lot of it because he is speaking so softly and his fidgeting makes it harder to hear him. I have seen quite a few interviews of him and have not seen him seem so quiet and fidgety ... and his lack of eye contact when he speaks to him , whether it’s true or not is a typical sign of someone not being super confident. I’m only talking about him in this interview... not generally ✌️
He definitely seems like an anxious person.
And the assessment on his body language isn’t an attack on his character, because it definitely takes confidence to want to be an actor, but on the other hand just because someone is confident, doesn’t mean they are 100% confident at all times and with everyone. He fidgets, his body language is closed off, and he rarely makes eye contact. In this particular interview, he is not exuding confidence.
Jay2x's yeh that’s exactly what I meant, and I definitely didn’t mean it to be an attack on him at all, I think he’s fabulous!!!
Matthew Cannata was he tho
Euphoria is my addiction
That's ironic
Same!

I'm Aussie and never would've expected he's Aussie just from watching. He does the American accent so well.
AskPete his accent is a bit of a mix, I guess from living in the US
@@celestepia4787 As an American, I had no idea he was aussie.
His Aussie accent slipped a few times in The Kissing Booth, but on Eophoria his American accent is pretty flawless.
Can we just appreciate the interviewer asking valid questions and making this feel more genuine
YES
an actual thought provoking and interesting interview!! makes not only the interviewee to think but also capture the audience bc we're learning so much about the process and i feel like interviews now are just about the superficial / their private life
RIGHTT
it’s funny how large he is but how he makes himself appear so small in the way he holds himself like he is slouched and folds his arms up and just makes himself appear so small. he’s clearly an introvert but looking at him in the show he’s sOO tall and big and just like dominant looking but jacob himself is just so shy and small it’s so funny to me
idk ??? YESSSS
Im like that. Lots of my friends say I look depressed or mad sometimes but I always smile when someone talks to me cause I dread that my face looks weird or I'm boring someone.
@@taetm8868 YES ME TOO!
I think in some interview he said that he is self conscious about his height and always tries to appear shorter
The juxtaposition of Jacob's personality and Nates personality is quite engrossing.
Yes omg I love them both🥰
The weirdest thing is that I just learned what that word meant yesterday 💀
@@cshmnyj this happens to me a lot lol so weird 😂
That’s how you know he’s an amazing actor. I would love to create something with him acting in it
He honestly looks nothing like Nate HOLY SHIT it’s WILD
Allie Hodges I KNOW LIKE ITS LIKE NATE WAS HIS COSTUME AND HE TOOK THAT SHIT OFF LMAO
He just hasn’t shaved wdym lmao
jade harper ... and every single one of his mannerisms, and the way he holds himself
He is so passionate about acting, and the way he approaches his character's story and gets involved in it is so interesting and smart. I admire him
Same
Who is like fascinated that he and Hunter were close on set? That's great contrast give their roles.
His chracter has feelings for Jules i think...they are both so confusing.
The contrast between him and Nate's character is just crazy. His whole demeanor, mannerisms, way of speaking, etc, is so different. Honestly, props to him as an actor. He did such a fantastic job in Euphoria.
When I heard the guy from kissing booth was gonna star in an HBO show I was like 'what foolishness is this" but he is such a wonderful actor w/ immense talent. I cant wait to see what the future holds for his career!!
Isabella P same
Agreed
His voice is so soft/quiet that you can honestly hear the sound of the friction from his non-stop pants-rubbing over him.
Facts
He talks like an artist talks about his art
Maria F right?
It is what it is
So trueeeee
lmaoooo
right lol
He seems like a very intellectual and almost shy type of guy, the complete opposite of Nate. His performance in Euphoria was honestly outstanding.
he's like the male kristen stewart with the shameful past (no matter how much i like him, i'm never watching the kissing booth) & all the introvert gestures during the interview, i find it cute. such a good actor too!
I don’t think you can compare though. Kristen "shameful" past is so much more harder to erase due to the fact that she played in those vampire movies for like a decade and due to the worlwide success of it and how much of a cultural impact it was despite of how cheesy the movies were meanwhile the kissing booth is just some teen netflix movie that nobody will remember in a few years. I don’t think it stained Jacob’s career and reputation as an actor as much as the twilight franchise did to Kristen’s.
Kristen can’t act. Even in other stuff.
@@_Vivienne_ The Twilight movies were released over 4 years, from 2008 to 2012.
Can't believe that the actor who played Nate is as introspective and shy as the one we see here! This is real acting, the complete transformation of self to embody someone else. I could understand being naturally extroverted and then faking being an introvert, but Jacob somehow goes from the bashful guy we see here to an uber-jock. I'm dumbfounded by his talent as an actor to embody someone so seismically different.
I was NOT expecting him to be this shy and reserved, with him being a 6'5 yolked dude I definitely expected different but it just goes to show how good of an actor he is.
Absolutely, can't wait to watch this guy's career unfold. Really hope he does well. It also just makes me happy to see fellow shy/awkward people succeeding.
it makes me want to rewatch the clips of him being a jerk because I appreciate his acting even more now
@@art.sthetic1615 same here hhhhhh
I just want to remind everybody that Jacob was raised in an Australian schooling system, which is incredibly different to American schooling. Theres no jocks, cheerleaders, pep rallies, football, colleges with sororities, etc. So not only did he have to take on a new accent for this role, he also took on a 'jock' persona without actually knowing any of what that entails. His talent is phenomenal
I’m glad he mentioned how the carnival scenes were filmed. That episode in particular was amazing. This show is beautifully shot. Love it!
He’s everything an actor should be. Actually passionate about what he’s doing. And actually extremely talented
We need more like him
why did they have the interviewer sat right next to him Loooooll Jacob is already shy but that just made it more awkward
Thank God he is not another Noah Centineo
he seems so shy and sweet omg, he barely made any eye contact during the interview. if he's a introvert i could imagine how anxiety inducing interviews and filming might be
He's an Aussie, I had no idea. Euphoria is really good so far!
Him talking about his relationship with hunter is so friggin precious! ✌️❤️🏳️🌈
Edit: Heath Ledger was such a legend , his death was so sad and he was just an incredible actor... nice to see young actors that still appreciate that!
I fucking adore their relationship and it kind of calms me to see them together cause their acting is so good that i need to see them together
This is how many times he kept touching his pants
⬇️
Katya l I think you might be OCD I don’t know I thought it was weird to I would probably ask him in the interview what’s the deal with your parents what are you keep on doing that you’re OK right maybe he’s nervous I don’t know if it’s his first interview
Kipp Crusoe um no I don’t have ocd and your comment is kinda all over the place and hard to understand
And his face 😂
But i think he's still pretty new to acting so he's getting used to interviews still.
and he does the ring fidget thing also, he only did it a couple times but still.
Yeah he was really uncomfortable. Such a sweetheart
5:36 the way he absolutely lights up at the american psycho reference!!! an angel!
Nates' character is so well written. I'm glad they didn't just make him a plain bad guy just because he's "bad". He clearly went through trauma from his father (which obviously doesn't excuse his actions) but it's refreshing to see what goes into making someone so broken and hostile/violent. He's confused with his sexuality and isn't completely heartless because he loves Maddy, yet when he loves its extreme. Basically, the writers showed the development of a sociopath and its amazing. Such amazing storytelling
He’s shy and sweet in person too, I worked w him but once he’s comfortable w you he doesn’t stop talking, he’s incredibly intelligent
He’s such a cute softboy 🥺 His voice is literally so quiet and him playing w his pants is adorable
it took me 16min to fall in love with his personality
He has such a nice voice. He should definitely do audio books
he seems so soso sweet and kinda shy! wow what a great actor.
really good interviewer. he seems like he made jacob pretty comfortable and he asked a lot of genuine questions
You can tell he's a very serious actor. I'm so excited to see what else he can do, he has so much range.
You know that someone is a super talented actor if you see two different people when you look at the actor/actress and the character they are playing 🙌
my mans has a whole ass journal he rlly is the opposite of nate
Is it me but does he kinda look like Matty McKibben from Awkward?
Jacob is 😍🤤. He’s so shy and introverted! It’s adorable I’d never think he’s that way! Makes me love him more 💙
Brittany Jones dude the whole time I watch in my head I constantly am referring to him as matty especially because his gfs name is maddy
Every time they would talk about Maddy, the girlfriend, I kept thinking they were talking about his character and then i had to remind myself that he wasn't Matty.
@@karenb4177 Exactly.
YES! Someone else thought that too. He reminds me of a messed up Matty. Man, it would be cool to see Jacob and Beau in a movie or show together.
Right!!
Okay why am i crying over him talking about his relationship with hunter. OMG IT'S SO CUTE I CAN'T.
Also i really appreciate his passion for what he does, he's very passionate and you can really tell by the way he talks about acting
He and Dacre Montgomery should be friends 👌🏼🇦🇺
Ugh I thought I couldn’t love him more but then the way he talked about heath 😍😩
That lady scene with on the floor losing his mind GAVE ME CHILLS I had to watch so many interviews with him just to reassure myself he wasn’t absolutely crazy irl 😭💀😂😂😂
He’s such a good actor, he plays his part so well.
he’s giving me robert pattinson vibes actually he kinda looks like him a little bit
Yeah specially wen he shaves in one scene wen texting jules
I can’t believe this man plays Nate, love how committed he is to being in character.
His pants are loud!
(That sounds so weird lol)
Katya l hahah
Katya l asmr tingles
Sayuri 😂😂
Like corduroys! It's all I could focus on.
Such a gentle giant
'i couldn't be so arrogant' he's so humble and sweet i love him . great actor being so convincing as a violent and disturbed character when he's actually such an introvert
This is my first time watching him in an interview and he seems so shy and humble lol he's so precious. I also love how serious and passionate he is for his job and Nate.
he’s such a good actor because nate terrifies the hell out of me and he is so soft and shy and humble
he is so introverted and shy i love it
This interview was handled with such maturity and in return, Jacobs answers were so thoughtful - thank you for posting this!
Euphoria i love this series to far 😍😍😍
He nailed on Euphoria. I mean, I could imagine an actor who came from Kissing booth being so great after seen Joey King's performance on The Act
he’s so adorable, i have a sudden urge to protect him
When asked about his childhood "My dads really normal, he loves my mom" 😂..how cute
I love that he’s acting in Euphoria
okay but seriously this man is such an amazing actor. like everything he did in this show, he made me feel bad for nate when at the same time he was exhibiting some serious sociopathic tendencies but then you realize that it’s because he’s been taught to not feel. like i could never figure out whether i liked him or not.
he seems to be very shy in person what a good damn actor! he deserves an Emmy for his fantastic performance.
His friendship with hunter 😍💞💞
Your work blew my mind away, thank you so much Euphoria is a piece of art, mille bisous from France 🤗
i am literally in love with him
Jacob holy shit that performance with Nates breakdown, I still get chills and teary eyed thinking about, you better get some awards for that 👏🏽💯❤️
I love his accent, I could listen to him alllll day
It's interesting that he says Nate wants to fix problems and since he is violent, his 'fixes' are extreme. This also explains why he is treating Jules as an enemy as well, she is a threat to his fathers freedom and his family's reputation. Also a nice parallel is shown on how his father approached Jules about this and how Nate did. Jacob's acting is so good in this series that when I see Nate smiling in the show I literally get a bad feeling. Good job!
The way he embraced and embodied his character, woooooow 🤩
i can watch him all day😍😍 can't wait for more from him..
10:02 my fave moment of this interview 🥺
The acting in this show is phenomenal. Very talented cast.
I love how he says that his dad is normal and loves his mom.
He has a confident shyness that's inviting! And He's so Enjoyable. Too cute that He keeps looking down ❤️
would never think he's so shy and sweet
Jacob should be the next Superman! He is a beautiful fantastic actor with a great body and voice!
I love Jacob he’s so real
Hes soooo shyyyy🥺🥺🥺🥺ily jacobbbbb
Ummmm Jacob Elordi's role as Nate was INCREDIBLE he gave his freaking all and it was so mind blowing and INTENSE the entire season I- WHO WATCHES THIS AND WOULDN'T WANT A SEASON 2
Awesome watching your interview Jacob!!! I loved that he rubbed his pant leg because he can be himself which is perfect and he probably didn't know the Mic was picking it up!! Awesome voice too!!
Nate’s character is the most complex character on the show and it’s so funny exciting to watch his scenes
Omg I’m watching this after finding out they got renewed for a second season 🥂🥂🥂... THE POWER THEY HOLD
Honestly Nate and Rue are without a doubt some of the best written teen drama characters ever their storylines so far have been the best and I feel like their transitioning and character development in the future will be absolutely mind blowing
he’s my favorite actor omg i cant wait for season two
He’s a true talented actor cus how can somebody be so chill and sweet in real life and on tv makes me hating him a loooot😩👏🏻
the dedication to his craft SHOWS
he makes you hate and love him through his acting . that's how good he is 👏
THAT scene? Intense af he’s such a good actor I hope he gets an award for it
hes like a shy puppy🥺hes so soft irl
Yeahhh i like Jacob Elordi he seems very intelligent and knows his acting in and out very effectively
He‘d a 100000% make me blush if I were ever gotten the chance to talk to him
HIs portrayal of Nate was amazingggg
He is so nervous and baby OMG, imma stan right now🥺☺️
I think its so great how they break down his character on the show and how they do every character on the show its so real and not a cliché it feels like how me and some of my friends life at some point. They sorta go back and show events, psyche that led to the characters being who they are. He seems like the opposite of Nate. Good actors all of them. Just started watching this week and i love the show
Everything about him. HIS HANDS ARE SO BIG AAAAH
He played the role so good
This guy is Oscar worthy especially zendaja, this show definitely is good
