I'll never forget Elizabeth Olsen came to talk to my class and someone asked her how she got an agent/parts after she graduated and she said "I'm an Olsen so I didn't really have to go through all of that" and I really respected her for not bullshitting us. This really is what it is like sometimes, but gotta respect when they are just honest with you about how luck and connection is a MAJOR part of being an actor.

Natalie Partman was so good. I hope she does more movies and T.V shows and get her first big break. If they ever do a remake of “The Notebook” - I think she’d be great at that role.

Aww. She seems like she's sweet. It's a shame she doesn't get more spotlight. I remember Benedict even complaining about her deserving more spotlight in Doctor Strange. Love her.
Jacob Elordi is really the kind of actor they did miss a couple of times this season in the show. Great sense of acting WITH the other people. I hope to see him back as host again!

It’s such a different dynamic when one takes acting classes as a hobby. I enjoyed it immensely! Would I ever want to pursue a career in that? Absolutely not. It would take most of the fun out of it and I’d be constantly anxious and disappointed. That said, I like how this sketch portrays those who have been trying to “make it”.
This scene right here shows you that being a decent actor does not make you a decent scene partner. Also shows why the SNL superstars are so good at what they’re doing every week.

It’s pretty easy to play this character but his delivery was lacking. He doesn’t know how to be funny. Also notice his monologue. It was a Q&A. Which the writers usually do when they have a nervous host or someone who can’t handle more.
yeah she played it real but also leaned into the humor & her timing is impeccable. But the whole skit was really uncooked. It's really sad they have so many talented people & this is what they come up with.

That's why the actors try so hard not to "break character" and laugh, because it distracts from the believability that they are actually the characters they are playing. I have a degree in dramatic art, so I do know what I'm talking about. 🤷♂ And the "secret" is that great comedic actors commit to their characters just as much as dramatic actors.
It feels like the camera was suppose to cut to a close up of someone else before Rachel Mcadams popped up but there was a screw up. She sits down during Sarah Shermans line so we see her before the line introducing her and then the close-up, which i feel was supposed to be her reveal. It seems that's why the audience didn't have a huge reaction to her.
