Hi Cassiy! So this week i am posting my fathers day and fourth of july designs. I know its a little late for fathers day but since i just opened i needed a tiny bit more time this year! Hope you had a great memorial day weekend and once again thanks so much for all the info . You have made this store opening for me possible . I cant thank you enough!

You are doing great, the nice thing about fathers day designs is they can sell well all year round! And now you will be ready for next year. If I could go back and change one thing about when I started, it would be doing like almost all group shirts right in the beginning! Its so fun get orders for 5 shirts, 10 shirts and 15 shirts daily!!
So glad my videos have been good for you, I know it all feels like a lot in the beginning but just take tiny babysteps towards what you want each day and eventually you'll be there!

That's a great question! These are two very different tools for sure. Everbee is a better fit for sifting through the search results to see what listings for your keyword is selling better and gives you an easy in the same screen breakdown of how many sales approx a listing has gotten, how old it is etc. I also really like using Everbee to sort my competitors shop listings to see which of their listings are selling the best. So essentially I use Everbee to find what is already selling well for other people. Everbee you can get on Etsy and just start hunting around until you find successful listings. Sale Samurai is a great tool if you already know what niche or keywords you want more information on. Then you can kind of sift through that keyword to finding lower competition niches within that niche. It can also be a great tool to see which of your competitors keywords are actually getting searches each month so you can use only the best keywords when deciding your SEO. So I have been enjoying them both but for different reasons if that makes sense.
Hi Cassisy, I don't know if you are arounf to answer a question or not, and at first I had one but now I have a fewI'm looking for group mockups and when I looked at what you have , of course I looked in your shop because I believe in supporting someone who is being very helpful and supportive of other people , especially someone who has made to where you are, because there are so many that don't, I very much appreciate your not being greedy at all , as it has been such a big thing in our world. I know I talk a lot, but it's nice to meet people like you , even if it is online. But back to my question, if the mockup are not the color you are goimg for , is there a way to change that on my computer, I'm not that experience with the computer in some areas, and possibly I didn't keep looking long enough. My next question is how many listings did you say we need to do each day and how long did you say it took before the sales started happening . I tried searching for these answers going through the videos , and I would just rather not o that.
Great question! As for Everbee vs Sale Samurai, they are very different tools that I use for different things. I really like using Everbee to sort the results for a keyword on Etsy to see which ones are already selling well, how many sales approx they've had and easily see what keywords they are using in their titles and tags. I also really like using them to stalk my competition by sorting their shop and seeing what best sellers shops have. So I use Everbee more for finding new shops to stalk and finding new niches to design for. Sale Samurai you already have to have a keyword in mind to start searching for to really use it, and you can go down the rabit hole and then find some low competition high search volume niches as well but I use it more for finding good keywords for the listings I already made. Hope that makes sense! You definitely don't NEED either of them, I built my whole business without using any paid tools. I am just starting to check them all out now that I am 2 years in and realize how they can make my job so much easier and more efficient. But I also am making a bunch of sales and don't mind spending the money on both since I am just going to write it off at the end of the year anyways!
First of all thank you again for another helpful video, I came over to your channel after seeing you on Ryan's and you make things so easy and clear also taught me something I didn't know on canva to 😅 in a previous video of yours. Secondly, I've currently been designing for fathers day and some fishing designs, want to jump on other niches plus you got me thinking ahead now with teacher designs so thank you again and sorry this is a long comment 😂
Watching this again...what does the number over on the right mean, the "364 more" on the right hand side of the search drop down in the etsy search box, with the sale sameri integration?
Thanks heaps for this Cassiy. Very grateful for your kind efforts to put this together. As a whole, what is typically in your opinion the maximum amount of competition listings on the right side of the app, that a person shouldn't proceed further because the comp is too high? In other words, when searching a niche, of course the lower the competition the better, so what number would the max where you say "okay, it's too high/too much, I must move on to another niche?" 1000, 5000, 10,000? Thanks so much :)
Thank you very much for this, Cassiy! may I ask, what is the ideal number of products to make for one specific keyword that has low competition? Is it good to make tons of the same product but a different print for that one keyword? thank you
Great question! As for Everbee vs Sale Samurai, they are very different tools that I use for different things. @@CassiyJohnson Hi Cassiy, firstly thanks so much for the detailed reply, I really appreciate it, I'm new to POD and started selling about a month ago with no sales so far, however I only discovered your channel recently and your content is really good, I feel like I've got a lot more of an idea of stuff now since your channel so thank you so much, keep up the great work and I hope for a few sales soon!
Hi Cassiy, I have subscribed to your channel. and have been signing up for Etsy through your link, and then my account got suspended (i didn't get an email from them eighter) but I just email to ask their thoughts. Oh, can you make a video comparison between Sale samurai with Everbee? please.
This is exactly what I needed! I was struggling to locate low competition keywords. Also, I’d love to know if you do any Etsy ads and also if you do email lists. Your content is so so helpful!!
So glad this video was helpful for you!! I typically only advertise when I have items that are already selling well. So right now I don't have any ads running because bachelorette shirts just eat up my whole budget because its expensive to advertise per click on those but in the winter I was spending up to $100/day in November advertising my best selling 10 Christmas items. So I'd really recommend waiting to do ads until you have items that are selling well, so you can pour gasoline on the fire that's already stared. Because if your listings aren't optimized for sales (good mocks, good design, good and relevant seo etc.) then Etsy ads will just eat up your budget without making sense in the long run. I do not do any email lists no. I focus mainly on getting free organic traffic on Etsy and since I do mostly smaller random niches, it can be hard to have an email list when I am selling so many random different things.
I got Sale Samurai and am loving it. I am curious, how do you know what a "good ratio" is for things for sale versus the search volume? Can you share what ratios you look at to find the high search volume with low competition? This seriously has me stumped as to what is a good ratio to consider to avoid oversaturation.
Honestly I wouldn't overthink that too much, I have had listings become best sellers for the keyword "Teacher Sweatshirt" before even though that is super "oversaturated" people say. I focus mainly on finding best selling niches and making my own unique designs for them. Don't spend too much time in the weeds researching, just keep taking action until you start to see sales, then do more of what is working!
Hey Cassiy, Thank you for this video and sale samurai code, just used it! I have a question for you. I was following along with you as I just installed Everbee and Sale Samurai and as I was entering key words (using your example of senior 2024) Everbee is showing me it has 47 search volume and sale samurai is showing me it has 24 search volume (with the option to click on 500 more examples) How come the search volume is so different and which one should I believe? Everbee is showing it has more searches that sale samurai so what does this mean to me as someone trying to identify a selling niche? Thank you !
Hi Cassiy, thanks again for the videos. I'm not sure which video it was, maybe this one, you mentioned the hoodie with designs on the back. I have searched and searched for hours, but I can't find a non-AOP hoodie that has a really large print area on the back. I know they must exist, because I see them on Etsy. Is this something you're willing to share, that is, which printer prints the large areas?
I use swiftpod most of the time, I just don’t make mine quite as gigantic. People might just be making the print larger on their mock-ups than it actually will be or they are printing it themselves and can make it as big as they want!
Thank you for great content! I opened my etsy a few days ago so I'm still doing designs and trying to figure out all the laws in EU, so trying to find my feet in this big scary world of selling 😅
Don't be scared, congrats on getting started!! Just take one baby step forward everyday and eventually you will look back and realize you are where you wanted to go
@@CassiyJohnson Cassiy, you did a video where you shared a number of great group listing niche ideas. I have completely forgotten which video that was. Do you remember by any chance?
One other question...I wrote it under Ryan's video, but it's really a question for you. Is there a reason you sell the Gildan 5,000 vs. 64,000? And how do you differentiate on which listings you do the Bella vs the Gildan tees? Thanks so much Cassiy.
@@marys.5050 Hi Mary! The 5000 is just a bigger boxier fit where as the 64000 is more similar to a Bella. So I do the Bella shirts for most of my designs but if I am trying to do a trendy oversized shirt aimed more at the younger crowd, then I will put it on the 5000. I do the oversized looking mockups and have an oversized size chart letting them know to size up if they want ti to fit like the models. Sometimes I will put the design on both just to see how it sells.
@@marys.5050 No sorry I'm not sure which video that was but here are a few, Bachelorette Party Divorce Trips Girl's Trips Family Vacations Sister Trips Family Camping Trip Family Crusie Shirts Best Friend Matching Shirts Matching Halloween Costimes Matching BFF shirts
Now that Everbee has the feature to show approx number of searches per month on Etsy for certain keywords, I find myself mainly using Everbee. The one feature that Sale Samuai has that Everbee doesn't, is that low competition high search volume screen. I don't use it a ton but it is valuable info! I still have both of them but if you only used one, I use Everbee more personally.
Hi thanks for your great content. A question about pricing. I see a lot of shops that are selling really cheap, but when you view the listing and select your options the price is up to 50% higher! Is this a good strategy?? Thanks in advance
Hello Ryan! I have never tried pricing my items that way but have seen tons of shops be successful with it. My thoughts on it have always been that people are going to buy what they like because they like it, not because its cheap. If they were looking for a cheap shirt, they'd drive to their local Walmart. But instead they came onto Etsy looking to get a handmade item to support a small business. I don't concern myself too much with worrying about competing on price personally. I'd rather sell 100 shirts at $10 profit and make $1000, than sell 200 shirts at $5 profit to make the same $1000 but have to do 2x as much customer service.
Hi. Wondering if you see any odd results. I ask because I just signed up for SS and was researching Christmas gifts. According to SS "christmas gift" has a etsy SV of 60. That can't be accurate.
I'd google a business name generator and type in any fun words that you like and add "boutique"or "designs" at the end. Don't overthink it, you can always change this later if you want! One of my friends name it similar to a paint color she liked lol
Most of the "really cheap" shirts aren't as cheap as they seem. It's just one size in a random color that is that price or they are charging a lot for shipping. And people aren't coming to Etsy to get the cheapest thing, they are coming usually for a unique gift for a loved one! I try to always price at least at a 30% profit margin and have found $24.99 to be a really good selling price for most t-shirts!
Great video, wow so much good info. I have a question if you dont mind. Lets say you want to start in the teacher shirt niche. In your opinion is it better to start a whole new "teacher stuff only" store or would it matter to just start selling for that niche in a store that sells many different t shirts? Thanks!
Dear Cassiy! Fantastic knowledge you giving us every day!!! I will subscribe to sales samurai with your link. Do you think everbee is needed also or better sales samurai? One more question, I see very trendy il wave text with retro fonts. Do you know how to do this with Canva?
@@CassiyJohnson as always your answer is super helpful! Thank you Cassiy! We love your videos. Regards to the wavy fonts do you think it can be done on Canva?
@@26agica Not every style of them can be done in canva but you can get a really cute look with using canva. Go ahead and look on YT for wavy font canva tutorial and there are some good ones out there to show you how!
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks Cassiy, I have found some and I am trying out now. Regards to group shirts, one of your student had success with group shirts as well. what would be a good discount to put for a group shirt if you are selling for 24.99 usually?
How do you get it to show you how many of something is in people's carts when you do an Etsy search? I looked online to see if it was a setting or something but couldn't figure it out 😃
I’ve never had to turn anything on, it’s just always been there! That’s strange if you can’t see it. For reference though I use google Chrome in all my videos, could be a browser difference?
Thanks, Cassiy. To clarify, does the chrome extension show search volume or number of results? I could be mistaken but when you searched for senior shirts you said search volume but then for teacher shirts I think you said results. Thank you for your help!

Sorry I have never used that section, I mainly just use Sale Samurai in the two ways I show in this video! They have a lot of good tutorials on their website though that might help! Thanks for using my link and commenting, really appreciate your support
thanks for the video Cassy, great as always. I have been using samari for a little while and didn't realise you can find out search volumes if u use chrome and so tried it but search volumes aren't showing..any for me💡any ideas why?

Great question, no I don't think it is! Especially if you are going to cross a niche that is popular right now WITH a holiday, then people start buying those shirts and sweatshirts really early because they are popping up in the search results.
I searched "Fcs teacher shirt" directly on etsy and 1,955 results came up (not 237). Also searched "4k teacher shirt" which had 1,392 results (not 514). Does competition mean how many shirts have the keyword? If it does, the algorithm that sales samurai uses does not seem accurate, am I missing something?
Hey great call! I think the difference is Sale Samurai only brings up the shirts with that exact keyword in the title or tags, where as the Etsy Algorithm will bring up anything with "teacher" in it as well, even if it doesn't include "fcs" in the listing.
I've be following you channel and you explain everything alot better than everyone else. But I do have a question., I was comparing the two, Marmalead and sale samurai, they both showed me the same exact competion number for a keyword, but marmalead showed it has less than 25 searches a month while sale samurai showed it had 3,000 searches a month. I canceled marmalead to pay for sale samurai, because of all the talk about it. But now I'm not so sure. Marmalead isn't as great, but I'm afraid sale samurai is giving me false numbers and may be leading me in the wrong direction, What are your thoughts on this?
So none of the sales tools have direct access to the actual search volumes on Etsy. They all decide where they are going to pull that info from, they pull the info from places like google searches etc. so try not to take these results from them as gospel but know that people somewhere are searching for those search terms is what they are telling you lol so more of a general demand instead of actual Etsy searches per month if that makes sense. I’d just make sure to really base most of your research off of what is already selling on Etsy! This is going to be your best indicator of what to add to your store because there is for sure proven demand already if that makes sense. Best of luck and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the awesome comment Steven!! So glad you came to check out my channel and that I’ve already been able to bring you some value ❤️
Watching this again...what does the number over on the right mean, the "364 more" on the right hand side of the search drop down in the etsy search box, with the sale sameri integration?
Those are keyword suggestions, so that is where I show you in this video how I found that list of low competition high search volume keywords!
So you moved from Sale Samurai to Everbee, right???
Is it good to make tons of the same product but a different print for that one keyword? thank you
Mam.. what's the criteria for creating design.. example lets take this keyword "4k teacher shirt" it has 514 competition.. i mean whats the range..
Hi Cassiy, great video, if you were to choose between Sale Samurai or Everbee, which one would you pick?
Great question! As for Everbee vs Sale Samurai, they are very different tools that I use for different things. I really like using Everbee to sort the results for a keyword on Etsy to see which ones are already selling well, how many sales approx they've had and easily see what keywords they are using in their titles and tags. I also really like using them to stalk my competition by sorting their shop and seeing what best sellers shops have. So I use Everbee more for finding new shops to stalk and finding new niches to design for.
Sale Samurai you already have to have a keyword in mind to start searching for to really use it, and you can go down the rabbit hole and then find some low competition high search volume niches as well but I use it more for finding good keywords for the listings I already made.
I thank the lord almighty heavens for these outstanding pieces gold!
Just take one baby step forward everyday and eventually you will look back and realize you are where you wanted to go
Thank you Cassiy!
Thanks for the support Mary!! Hope you find all of the niches!!
@@marys.5050 No sorry I'm not sure which video that was but here are a few,
Bachelorette Party
Divorce Trips
Girl's Trips
Family Vacations
Sister Trips
Family Camping Trip
Family Crusie Shirts
Best Friend Matching Shirts
Matching Halloween Costimes
Matching BFF shirts
Do u still use both everbee and sale samurai?
When in Sale samurai I'm not seeing all the data you are showing. Is it because I'm in the 3 day trial?
Hi. Wondering if you see any odd results. I ask because I just signed up for SS and was researching Christmas gifts. According to SS "christmas gift" has a etsy SV of 60. That can't be accurate.
Hi! Does Printify print front and back shirts?
Hi Dana! Yes most items you can print on the front and the back of each shirt!
Q: what is the best way to name my store? New to the business
I'd google a business name generator and type in any fun words that you like and add "boutique"or "designs" at the end. Don't overthink it, you can always change this later if you want! One of my friends name it similar to a paint color she liked lol
What price points do you recommend to be at? I know it depends on what shirt you're selling. But I see some people selling shirts super cheap
@@CassiyJohnson Okay cool, that's exactly what I was thinking. I appreciate the help 🙏

Hi Agnes!! Thank you for your continued support
@@CassiyJohnson ohhh, that could very well be! I use duck duck go which is supposed to be more private haha!
Thanks, Cassiy. To clarify, does the chrome extension show search volume or number of results? I could be mistaken but when you searched for senior shirts you said search volume but then for teacher shirts I think you said results. Thank you for your help!
Sale samurai in the search bar shows you the search volume, sorry for the confusion!
Hi. Why on my sale Samurai pług in on etsy i dont see a competition on tags? I have description N/A. I subscribe monthly plan on sale samurai. Please help me with this. Bye have a nice day.

I recently signed up for Sale Samurai (used your code! 😀) and I was wondering how I could interpret the tags section. Do I just use the high ESV? Or is count more important? What is count pertaining to? That's the only section I'm kind of stumped by.

@@CassiyJohnson Thank you - Great video series!!
Is it ever too early to list for a holiday?
Great question, no I don't think it is! Especially if you are going to cross a niche that is popular right now WITH a holiday, then people start buying those shirts and sweatshirts really early because they are popping up in the search results.
@@CassiyJohnson thanks, girl!
Thank you!
You are so welcome, hope this niche makes you a ton of money as well!!
"teacher shirts" currently has 322,262 results on Etsy (not 3,559)
Hey great call! I think the difference is Sale Samurai only brings up the shirts with that exact keyword in the title or tags, where as the Etsy Algorithm will bring up anything with "teacher" in it as well, even if it doesn't include "fcs" in the listing.
Great job :)
Thanks Emma! Hope you got a lot of value out of this video!
im confused at which keyword hunter to use erank, samurai , etsy hunt
Still working on my 100 products to be indexed by Etsy.
hi, Cassie Thanks for the great content, I started an Etsy shop at the end of last month but only started really putting-time into it in the last 1 months, ever since I found your channel I have found better understanding in how to find niche's and I finally branded myself as well.
