Like you, I also have fears based around this type of intimate exam. I'm glad you dealt with it… I struggle with the whole process of shame and embarrassment. I just can't bring myself to do it. I guess I'll just rely on the PSA check and if it's ever elevated, then I will , a provider for a DRE

Good piece of advice Mark.I am 56 years old and have my psa level checked on a yearly basis as a precautionary measure.Early detection of any potential malignancies is crucial.

What ever you do Gentleman don't put it off swallow your pride and get checked out I left it to late, I have advanced cancer now 😢 don't put it off see your GP ASAP.

Things like this don't bother me, I had a colonoscopy a while back, the camera thingy, when I went into the examination room it was a woman doing it, one other woman stood at my side and two other women watched the procedure. What I really have problems with is the prep work you do in the 24 hrs before the appointment.

Every year I do the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride which supports Prostate Cancer and also mens mental health. I do it along with three mates. Normally we do the london Ride but this year we did the derbyshire. We have all had recent checks with one of us having a scare, had to have an op but it was benign..... Dont leave it....check it
