In general, I recommend the "pasta method" for cooking grains: 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil with a ratio of one gallon or four liters of water to one pound or 450 grams of grains. You can also add a heaping teaspoon of coarse kosher salt. 2. Rinse the grains in a fine-mesh strainer under cool running water. 3. Add the grains to the boiling water and stir. 4. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pot tightly, and cook until the grains are tender but still slightly chewy, which can take 30 to 35 minutes. You can check for doneness by biting into a grain. 5. Drain the excess liquid. 6. Add back to the pot and cover to allow the remaining water to evaporate. 7. Fluff the grains and serve. For example, I use Made In Cookware Stainless Clad Saucier 5 QT because it has rounded bottom. This makes it easier for getting the rice out of the pan. Here are some cook times that I use to make al dente grains: - Basmati Brown Rice - 20 Minutes - Basmati White Rice - 10 minutes - Black Rice - 22 minutes - Bulgur - 12 minutes - Farro - 30 minutes - Jasmine Brown Rice - 20 minutes - Jasmine White Rice - 10 minutes - Kamut (soaked overnight) - 60 minutes - Millet (Proso) - 20 minutes - Sorghum - 60 minutes The option is to get a much bigger rice cooker so that you only have to cook rice once. My favorite rice/grain cooker is Zojirushi Induction Heating Rice Cooker & Warmer NW-QAC10/18 because they offer 5.5 cups / 1.0 liters or 10 cups / 1.8 liters. I hope that this helps you in optimizing your meal preparation. Love you content and please do keep the meal prep videos coming. Bravo!!!!
Measure after cooked and divide by the number of portions. If 400g after cooking is 1000g, and you need 4 portions just measure 250g * 4 containers. Love from Srbija❤💪🏼
💥VLADA, catch advice. After this You will never cook rice in other method again. You overcooking rice and that You loose rice sweet taste and aroma. So, BUY normal STEAMER(Russell Hobbs food steamer or similar)with two or three level trays, so You can cook same time veggies as well. 1. With steamer comes plastic tray for grains or etc. USE THIS TRAY. Put 200grams of rice(but rinse couple times before) , then add 400grams of water into tray with rice. I put 300grams rice and 600ml water and then its a lot of rice :DDD 2. Put that rice tray with rice in steamer LEVEL 1. 3. Set steamer timer for 30minutes. After its done ,do not take out for at least 10minutes. Let it still cook a bit. 4. Take out rice tray, then add: salt, oil, ghee butter or coconut butter ,whatever You want and mix it gently. Rice becomes fluffy and supper tasty. This way You may cook in steamer in Level 2 and Level 3 same time different foods as well. Food which You need less time and is more gentle to steam ,put in top level3, next is level 2, and closest to most hot steam is Level 1(for rice or grečka). THIS method SAVES me TONS of time. Actually I can prep all i need with steamer and simple pan, for recipes which needs to be fried and not steamed. Enjoy tasty and healthy life :) p.s. with steamer and pan method, instead of 4 hours weekly prep You will done it in 1hour for sure. 3hours saved.
Thankyou Vladislava for introducing me to the music of AronChupa and Lilsis Nora, that was playing in your last video. Woodchuck song. Now I checked them out, and I love their music, so cool. I've been playing all their songs last couple of days like crazy
Good evening! Love your kitchen. Making me hungry again: very healthy but also tasty recipes. A lot of work but the results make up for it, it's satisfying to see, all these excellent creations coming together. You're a fantastic cook, respect! Thank you and happiness and many blessings your way, my dear strong and talented lady 🌺💪🙏
Impressed by your cooking skills and the mosaic of flavors, but most notably, it's your unwavering allegiance to garlic which garners accolades. That alone earns an automatic 100 badass points addition 😉. On a final note, consider my house husband application officially in the queue, awaiting approval 😅. God bless ❤🙏
Buy 2 rice cookers is my advise, lol. ( you will always have the 2nd as spare one too ). On a more serious note, it's a lot of effort that goes into cooking for your sport. Thanks for sharing, and hats off for speaking and sharing in English, not so obvious with your native language !
maybe look again at the portion of meat cause 100 g(only 2 seen small), and if it is 50 grams raw cooked will be 35ish so 70g total. 17,5 to 20g of protein in that meal, is a little bit low .
25mins to cook your steak 🤔 and with the rice as long as you get what your plan states for the day/week, it doesn't matter if they are not totally equal. So don't over complicate things for yourself
Haven't had Couscous in ages. I used to make it all the time I never realized it was semolina which is hilarious because I would always shred a little cheese on it and have it with broccoli and wonder why it was so delicious! 4hrs not too bad considering the quality. Your back to looking very strong again!
No vegetables? Vladislava, what determines an "Off Season" for you? Are you planning on competing this year? Do you do a Bulking and Cutting period in your training or do you just seek consistency? Really enjoy your videos. Hope you don't mind all the questions.
nice! i appreciate you don't eat humongous portions of meat or protein in general (just dairy) and you eat enough carbs which is good. as for as house husband, i would volunteer if you need some 🙂 edit: as for as rice: just cook all your rice, than weight it. then do simple math to divide whole amount of rice by number of portions. then you will know how much to give in each box. you can do it probably in your "rice cooker pot", you just need to weight it before...
She might not have the best cooking skills in the world, but the way she cooks while explaining all the ingredients is adorable.
OK CHEF BOY-ARDI

Rice option - baked rice in a tray, saves time you can also cook with other foods in the oven, and portion it up. Am a big fan, love your work ! 🇦🇺 🦘
True, will try to cook in steamer oven next time :)

You’re very calm and composed all the time I love that about u
Very nice cooking demonstration Vladi! You have a wonderful kitchen to prepare some tasty meals! 😁😁😋😋
Nice you have all those plant there! I especially like the orchids 👍🏻🌿
Truly a paragon of beauty, captivating hearts with her grace.

Vladislava Galagan Truly Such A Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Buy 2 rice cookers is my advise, lol. ( you will always have the 2nd as spare one too ). On a more serious note, it's a lot of effort that goes into cooking for your sport. Thanks for sharing, and hats off for speaking and sharing in English, not so obvious with your native language !
What about cooking rice in a saucepan (the old fashion way) that way you can cook as much as you like. Only about 15 min all up!
IT'S NOT A LOT OF EFFORT, TAKES ME 15 MINS TO COOK BROWN RICE AND PORK OR BEEF, WITH FRUITS ON THE SIDE
Hallo Vladislava !!!!!! You should use olive oil that comes in a dark bottle. Sun light effects the makeup of olive oil!!!! Look it up???
maybe look again at the portion of meat cause 100 g(only 2 seen small), and if it is 50 grams raw cooked will be 35ish so 70g total. 17,5 to 20g of protein in that meal, is a little bit low .
Wow you are a good cook and I love all you're workout videos to ❤💪🙏
Great video and Happy 4th of July to you and your family.❤
2:30 just divide it in 4 equal parts. draw a cross. when its cooked
I even do 6 portions, its going to diff by some grams but it obviously evens out. Its not going to be perfect even with 2 portions.
Enjoyed watching you cooking...❤
Yes,they do already add salt to the mince.Quite a bit
She reminds me of Rachel McLish in the best way. Vladislava is a balance of muscularity and femininity, not to mention sensuality.
Could you use real garlic instead of garlic powder?
25mins to cook your steak 🤔 and with the rice as long as you get what your plan states for the day/week, it doesn't matter if they are not totally equal. So don't over complicate things for yourself
I think I'm going to cook more for myself in future.
He loves you, Captain, and one of your admirers is Egyptian, like the Iron Lady, and at the same time beautiful.
Haven't had Couscous in ages. I used to make it all the time I never realized it was semolina which is hilarious because I would always shred a little cheese on it and have it with broccoli and wonder why it was so delicious! 4hrs not too bad considering the quality.
Your back to looking very strong again!
You should use glass bowls instead of plastic.
If u like my suggestion please apply it can help you , use steel lunch boxes instead of plastic
Владислава красотка!!!
What’s the name of this white device in which you cook meat ? Looks amazing
90 kg of pure perfection 💪🏽
When she's tell her weight right now?
I believe she said she weighs 85 kg.
I would boil the prewashed rice in a Pot and then i would put it on a scale. 100g below, 100g below, ready..i would prefer a Rice pilaw.
You are my hero

Also pretty sure you can get a House Husband very quickly and easily - surely the men must be standing in queue going down the street…😂
Как считаешь, можно высушить плечи и трицепс не теряя в массе всего остального? То есть сделать его выносливее, без утраты силы в других упражнениях.
