  • This episode covers the importance of sleep, insomnia and negative impact of poor quality or duration of sleep on the physical, mental and emotional health. Modern medicine has done many studies on the impact of sleep on chronic illnesses and how circadian rhythms are important for good health. Learn how Ayurvedic principles are supported by these studies and dosha clock and doshas follow modern understanding. At the end of the video I have shared about 9 tips to improve sleep including a couple of breathing techniques that can induce sleep. Below are references to the articles of the studies covered.

Excellent episode Pushpa. I was paying very less attention to sleep during my years of working with corporates. Ofcourse we were working hard but neglected sleep due to long travels, meeting preparations, discussions etc. This lack of sleep affected all of us in some manner. Talking for myself, it led to T2DM and maybe the cardiac issue . These days i follow the strict standards of eating before 8pm and going to bed by 10:30. I also listen to music and avoid Mobiles after 10pm . It's working perhaps as i can see some decent improvements
