    Love the detailed, thorough review! I picked one of these up for my girlfriend in the lilac colorway. I really love it and am kinda jealous, it's nicer than my keyboard that I use at home. I think I might get one in this mocha color for myself!

    I overall love my Gem. It sounds and feels great. I do want to mention that the FR4 plate that was sent to me not cut perfectly so the switches wouldn't physically fit in the plate. This could be fixed by shaving off the edges, but if you're paying 180 for a keyboard I do expect it to be ready-to-go. I appreciate that they are sending a replacement though so that's a plus for customer service. Hoping this board holds up for the long run.

    Thanks for the review! Really want to buy this keyboard, guess I will wait for some promos hope I can get the color I want. I will order the wrist rest too this time, I already on a nuphy air 75. Did you try any other switches on it? Listening to videos I am between raspberry and lemon, I love brown switches so I might get lemon since it's tactile as they say on their website.
    Much love from Brazil, keep it up the good work!

    Have they fixed the double pressing issue?

      Dunno, once they published the source, I fixed it myself.

    Yeah, mine won't charge out of the box, and frequently double-types keys. Already did one firmware flash, and it didn't help. Not sure what to do, probably gonna have to return this. Too bad, I liked the sound OOTB, and the lighting is fairly nice. (bttw, this double-strokedd like shown in this section of text inside the parentheses, it's rather annoying and a big reason why.. does this even on wired.)

      You are not the first to report this, but I've yet to experience this. Might you by chace have some extra switches to rule them out as the culprit?

      @@MechKeyboards I've already swappped out the spacebar but it. still does it sometimes. As it stands, so many keys do this that I've run out of spares in the kit (there were only 3). I'd have to order a complete new 30-set and just keep swappping, and I'm afraid that with thiss failure rate that it's likely going to chew through about half of _those._

      So when I used this for my daily and did experience some mistakes but checked it up to the light switches, as I usually prefer a heavier weight of 55g or above. So I just pulled it out and really gave it a test, and sure enough, many double key presses, with many keys. I decided to try the easiest thing first, replace the switches. I had a batch of U4Ts that were free, so I switched the Mint switches for the Gazzews, and lo and behold, a much better experience, but there is still the random double key press. If I had to guess, this is a debounce issue and should be able to be corrected with the proper settings in the source of the firmware. As QMK is still two weeks from being published, I'll have to wait to see if I can just try different settings and getting working right, but for now I am going to forward my findings to NuPhy and see if they can correct this issue. But in the meantime, I'm sticking with my 65g U4Ts. I'll probably make a video once I've gotten things worked out.

      @@BinkyTheToaster I'm very confident this can be fixed with the correct debounce rate, so I would not fret or go buying too many switches, I just happen to have a small arsenal at my disposal ;)

    You could almost use the switch try as a lube station! Torn on this... have my Rainy75 on order but been thinking of this or a Neo80 as I love my Neo65 and that board is so easily modified. I couldn't tell from the Website, is this QMK/VIA?

    • @MechKeyboards
      @MechKeyboards  6 месяцев назад +1

      It's VIA now, QMK should be released shortly, they just released QMK source for their Air V2 series. I have the Neo65 but have not had any time to build it yet!

      I ordered a Rainy75 too, but I kind of want the Gem 80 now because I'm too impatient and can't wait until June for a new keyboard lol.

      @CaptainClassic1 might you be able to comment under my M75 video, it's a bit of hijacking on this video, no?
