What i liked about this home from the begining is that he had a fire place in the living room, then when the video starts he has an outside bath or hot tub. Tells me, its not just functional but built for a nice settings and enjoyment. That counts.
It's very beautiful to look at-such a large open space. Understandably it is custom designed for a client but if somehow this were available to rent, it would not be for me. The setting, the home itself is breathtaking but my gosh-there is nothing soft to sit on, to relax, nap, watch a movie, or read a book. I was picturing a cozy chair and ottoman, a loveseat, a rug. I would love to hear her play the violin though with all that hard space-it would fill with the sound like an auditorium.
Yeah the lack of couch seems to be a dividing aspect for some people. I guess if you were renting long term, the couch, tv, anything else you want to add could be easily added. + 🤝 on your violin point!
I was going to write something similar, but I’ll second this. VERY antiseptic. I also find it bizarre to inconvenience oneself to protect the flooring. Beautiful area, but this place is actually kind of depressing for me. No heart or soul
Love it! Your calming narration and humor is refreshing and calming. I loved the tiny house. The use of your doppelgänger was a nice touch. 👍🏼👍🏼❤️🇺🇸Ohio
I get what you are saying. And I agree with you. I think when you go small it’s very important for the space to be designed around the individual. And things from light and movement need to be dynamic. Like in a large space kitchens and rooms can be general and mass produced. But in a tiny house it really has to be designed so specifically. Like one might enjoy cooking so more focus needs to be on the kitchen but maybe you barely cook then the bare minimum is needed for the kitchen and it would just need to be essentials. One person might find a place to lounge incredibly important where as others might find it an easy sacrifice. For example I find a desk to be something I wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice. As well as meaningful headroom in a bedroom. It’s about sacrifice and a more minimalistic design that’s very individualistic. This is why most tiny homes are actually pretty bad. But this is a good example of one.
Loved this. I have been a guest at several Japanese homes on Honshu island. This house has Japanese aesthetics throughout. There is also a great pleasure to see your natural humility in these videos. You always wear clothing that hides your bulging triceps. What a gentleman.
I love your content George. Your humor is grand. Here in the U.S., tiny homes are considered a cheaper alternative to standard homes. The costs are soaring.
I’m probably biased but I absolutely love the seating in the living area. It’s very common for traditional Asian households; it’s like our version of the conversation pit! It can get really cozy if you pad the entire seating floor too. Great tiny house tour!
I love this type of channel, but your humor sets you apart! Subscribed. Loved this place, and I've never seen a woodside like that! Hiding the car is a genius touch.
Such a lovely tiny house. I love the charming music in the beginning of the video as well. As for the bath, even if the house is off grid, I am paranoid about my privacy so I am glad to have the indoor shower as an option. Btw, nice beard! LOL
It seems so peaceful there. It would be a great place to go if you were writing a book or composing music. So much for your imagination to work with. Thank you for sharing this with us George. 😊
Probably the most beautiful tiny house I've ever seen. The life-style and discipline required to live there is something I would definitely enjoy, but for a week at most (!)
This afternoon I thought "Oh, I'd love to see a video from Patchy again. Hopefully he'll upload one soon." And there it is :) I already know this tiny house from the channel "Never too small", but the video was great, I just like your voice. Thanks to Ben for the footage :)
Oh yes! I’ve seen this house on another platform. I remember the unique entrance and the fact that the girl who owns it is a violinist! Very beautiful find!
Great video of an awesome place. Thanks for shooting it Ben,and thank you for the great presentation George. That looks like a great spot to really 'get away from it all.' Curl up with some popcorn, and watch 'The Cabin In The Woods' for a nice relaxing sleep after.
Hi George! I always love your videos, and this is another great one where your wonderful sense of humor shines through !!! What a beautiful property ~ thank you so much for sharing! And yes, you and Ben could pass for twins! I love you
I find your videos very inspiring George. You don't just show small houses, you present a way of life. I'm also kinda' frustrated, because by the end of these videos I often find water droplets in my eyes. Probably my room's humidity lvl have changed.
I did better than I thought I would… which to be fair is not saying all that much. Totally unrelated, but I’ve been think about getting back into content creating. Any tips on getting the more cinematic shots?
Haha, I got all excited and thought you'd actually been to Tasmania. It's a beautiful part of the world, although quite cold, and I would love to stay in nature like this again.
gorgeous tiny home, i loved the entrance way blocking the cars. Ben's footage was good, but i much preferred your commentary to his, your sense of humour is what makes these videos unique! ❤️
Have you ever thought about doing voice over work? I think you’d be perfect for apps like Calm etc as you have such chill & soothing voice. Or even start another channel to help people wind down before sleep. As a viewer came here for the house renovation, stayed for the cat & the calm voice. (Prior to sleep, I usually watch funny cat videos with the sound off or put a couple of hours of sounds on such as purring or rain when I need to wind down plus focus on something external to myself. I’m someone that has a lot trouble sleeping! Partly due to physical pain, partly because of a highly active mind.)
As a young man I had the pleasure of backpacking all over the world, including Tasmania and Scotland. I loved this video. Very informative and inspiring. I've been interested in the Tiny House Movement for some time now. As an aside: "The Honk". That sounds so much nicer than the stink, doesn't it?
George, have you ever done audio books? I swear, I wish you had some longer videos where you'd read a book. You have maybe the most relaxing voice ever. 💖
I’d love if you included in your commentary a description of the weather and climate in which the tiny houses are located. For instance, I don’t have a clue what the weather is like in Tasmania. This was another interesting video you’ve shared with us. Thanks.
Actually it's probably not that different from Scotland. It's at the bottom of Australia and bottom of Tasmania, so can get quite cold (it snows in Tas) and rainy. It has a similar position to New Zealand.
Hope you all like this one! Be sure to check out Ben's channel in the description! ☺
Thank you so much George. Your presentation and edit is incredible!! :)
From the onset this looks like a nice cozy home.. enjoyable.
What i liked about this home from the begining is that he had a fire place in the living room, then when the video starts he has an outside bath or hot tub. Tells me, its not just functional but built for a nice settings and enjoyment. That counts.
Stunning! You are right, for most of the video I thought this was you we were watching. 😉 What a place.
Easy mistake to make

Quality workmanship, no doubt. But about as cozy as a unit of plywood at Home Depot.
Love it! Your calming narration and humor is refreshing and calming. I loved the tiny house. The use of your doppelgänger was a nice touch. 👍🏼👍🏼❤️🇺🇸Ohio
Cheers Scott!
@@Patchy cheers! Your vlogs are so special. Your voice, like I mentioned, calms me right down to the intimacy of the tiny houses. I love them.👍🏼❤️
Patchy... you've out done yourself! Great presentation!
Cheers Craig!!
The house is so considerate of its surroundings and guest. This makes me want to build a tiny house so badly.
It really is! I'd love to build something like this surrounded by nature.
but, you won't
@@tj-kv6vr Pretty sure I will.
Living in a Tiny Home is like having the same meal over and over again. There's only so many things you can change with such a small space.
I get what you are saying. And I agree with you. I think when you go small it’s very important for the space to be designed around the individual. And things from light and movement need to be dynamic.

Looks very peaceful. I would sleep for days in that house
🤝💤
Thank You BEN! Thank You George 😉
No worries Lisa!
I've seen this house before on RUclips. I like your gentle way of telling us about it.
It's been covered by a couple of people but I wanted to put my own spin on it. Thanks for watching!
@@Patchy Keep up the good work! I'll be watching.
Such a nice and cozy place. Thanks for posting it George.
Thanks for watching!
Great collaboration, George! Loved this video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad to hear it! Hahaha yeah got to keep it family friendly here.
👍😊😊
Very nice way to be with nature and those stars:) with the bathtub?sold! Thanks.
Easily one of the most beautiful tiny houses I've ever seen. Definitely helps it's more of a getaway than a full time home!
It really is lovely!
Love this content, so calming and beautiful! Of course the only real way for me to distinguish between you and Ben is that he drinks tea!
Thank you! And ah of course another tiny detail that separates us...
That was great, all 3 of you created something that gives a lot of people hope and inspiration
Thanks Marla! :)
🙏
You're right, George. It's the beard.
💪👨🏻🦰💪
What a beautiful place, I love the tree platforms!
Certainly is and me too. Seems like a fun place.
It was kind of sketchy up there being incomplete, but a lot of fun!
Beautiful❤ definitely my style of break ❤
Same here!
We love it ! Thanks George and Ben , very inspiring !
Cheers Neil!
Gee thanks so much Neil
It would be so nice living in the bush with that comfy tiny house.
Totally agree!
I love your content George. Your humor is grand. Here in the U.S., tiny homes are considered a cheaper alternative to standard homes. The costs are soaring.
Thank you! And yeah they definitely are becoming more attractive because of the price element. Although, my one wasn't exactly cheap either haha.
@@Patchy I research various manufacturers and I am floored by hiw pricey these constructions are now. Atill looking though ☝🏽
Nice one Patchy, cool to see some of my heritage coliding with an aussie location voiced by a scotsman!
WOW OH WOW how beautiful, truely beautiful...
Beautiful tiny home! Thank you.

It was very cosy I must admit.
With some pillows and padding I think it would be great to hang out with friends here!

Great video, I really like how Ben showed himself immersed and doing things in the house. Very satisfying seeing him bake with the wood stove.
Glad you enjoyed it! I agree, Ben did a great job. :)
this house looks so cool!
I kinda fell in love with it when I spotted it in the 'tiny home' section of Airbnb!

Love the breezeway created when doors open.
I just love the house, this is minimalism at its best. What a fantastic design. Thank you for sharing.

I love your wonderful home in the amazing nature. I loved ❤️ sitting on the tree and looking over the wonderful area! 🌴🦘🦥🦜🌴🦋👍🥰
You should do Birdhouse Studio 1 in Launceston, Tasmania! Coolest Airbnb I've ever stayed in :)
I'm featuring that on my channel soon Taylor! :)
