Thanks for taking the time to react to this beautiful song from Juan Gabriel 👍🏼. Amor Eterno/ Eternal Love
You are the sadness in my eyes
That cry in silence for your love
I look at the mirror and in my face I see
The time that I have suffered for your goodbye
I force my mind to forget you
Since I'm always thinking of the past
I'd rather be asleep than awake
Because of how much your absence pains me...
How I wish
That you were alive
That your eyes had never closed
And to be looking at them
Eternal love
and unforgettable
Sooner or later I'll be with you to continue
with our love
I have suffered because of your absence
Since that day I have not been happy
Even though my conscience is clear
I know I could've done more for you
Dark loneliness I'm living in
The same loneliness of your grave
You are the love of which I have
The saddest memory from Acapulco...
How I wish
That you were alive
That your eyes had never closed
And to be looking at them
Eternal love
and unforgettable
Sooner or later I'll be with you to continue
with our love
You should react to the same concert Hasta que te conocí/ until I meet you 😉👍🏼🥃
The man lived a tragic and storied life, from rags/prison(unjustly) to riches. His mom abandoned him early on, and this marked his life, becoming a sad source of inspiration for him. He was a trailblazer. This concert was the 1st non-classical music concert to be allowed in this auditorium, Mexico's grandiose Auditorio Nacional de Bellas Artes. Despite Mexico being very catholic and conservative (Latin America/Spain as well), Juanga is accepted how he was... the Divo of Juarez (lo que se ve, no se pregunta/ don't ask, don't tell). A complete musical maestro, with over 1800 songs, he collaborated and wrote hit songs for others for years and years.
Lastly, this song is an expression of lament for the loss of a mother. A sad anthem, that is played in every funeral in Mexico, parts of Latin America, and in the Hispanic community in the US. He is among the greats worldwide. Truly he had "it."
Perfectly summerized
I couldn't of said it any better
❤❤❤❤❤
What you can see you don't question
@@nomamescarnal that's a better direct translation/verbatim, but it doesn't give the depth of meaning like, "don't ask don't tell." Because that was a real policy for homosexuals in the military. That's why I felt it made more sense using that translation/context. Juanga pretty much said: don't ask, don't tell, if it's obvious, don't question.
i still yet to meet a Mexican that does not cry with this song! that's a fact.
Not only Mexicans, people from all over Latin America cry with this song in funerals and burials. It is the expression of sadness and devastation in the face of the death of a loved one.
Or anyone that speaks spanish
Exactly. I'm Mexican and you are correct
Bro, I'm from Spain, I can't help crying over this one. Especially when our dearest Rocío Dúrcal sings it
Fact. I cry everytime I hear it, if I play the song the entire day, I would cry all day lol
The Hispanic community played this for kobe Bryant and his daughter the day they passed away. It's a funeral song as well. Its beautiful.
Sorry hun. I know what you're saying. But, it's not a funeral song. But, the intention is nice. This song is about something completely different. Take care
Sorry, I was on a different song. You are definitely correct. I was listening to.. Hasta que te conosi, earlier. My apologies
no its not
@@cristianhcm1914 como siempre, un verdadero idiota que no conoce la cultura mexicana al momento 🤷♀️
“the hispanic community” 😂 what
Really enjoying your channel! I don't speak Spanish, but the hurt and emotion while he sang could literally be felt. I definitely agree that it appeared he was comforted by the audience singing...that was a pure moment during the performance. Great reaction!
Hes singing about how he misses his mom, and will always have eternal love for her, its about his mother passing and dedicated to all the mom's
Triste melody him compose when him Mother pass way
The songs called "eternal love". It's dedicated to his mom who passed.
Actually didn’t she abandon him?
@@trashcantacos yes, her did.
He had a very tragic childhood and grew up to be a legend in Mexican/Spanish language music. A big contribution bc he wrote and composed all of his music and helped other artists in their careers.
I was at one of his concerts in 1996. We all cried. This song is one of the most performed at funerals and memorial services. RIP Juan Gabriel
ese concierto fue en 1990 en bellas artes y 7 años despues regreso otra vez en bellas artes, en 1997
RIP Alberto Aguilera Valadez.
This song is dedicated to his mother . That's why in the beginning he mentions how he loves the mothers that came to his show tonight and also for the mothers that are not here with us.

This is a song that most Mexican or Mexican Americans listen to for past loved ones remembrance. We celebrate Dia de Los Muerto in South Texas and a played this song a couple of times. It’s heart felt but that is what makes this song so beautiful at a very hurtful time
This song was played in front of Kobe’s memorial by a couple of mariachi’s in LA, when he passed
Amazing’
que linda pareja me encantaron desde el segundo 20 ojala me guste la reaccion jaJAJAJAJ
GREAT REACTION. 👊🥂🍾
MEXICAN MARIACHI AND BANDA IS GOD'S PASSION.
💔 🥺 Great reaction guys, this song breakes any mexican any time anywhere... Glad you have the lyrics of this very special song.
He wrote over 1,500 songs, yes he is a legend, Mani of them for his mother , he Also sang in English ,japanese etc.
From 4:39 to about 5:50 in his video it’s Juan Gabriel COMPLETELY improvising those lyrics! Those are not in the original song, which again is proof of him being one of the greatest performers, lyricist and singers of ALL TIME and not just of Mexico!
There isn’t a Mexican in this world that doesn’t k ow and at least love one of his thousands of songs!
So heartfelt and deep…words that hit our very core! He is One of the Threads woven deep into Mexico’s soul! 💗
He has the ability to sing that way. He invokes emotions on his listeners like few artist can.
The song is a sad song.
Excellent reaction, amazing Juan Gabriel.
the fact that you feel that way, means he hit it on the spot!!! He invokes an emotion inside of you through his music! Few artist exist that can do that. He is one of the greatest.
This song is for all moms that has gone before us. If you miss your mommy this song is for she and to know she has Eternal Love
This is a song that is now played at any Mexican funeral. The song is for his mother that passed away. For a long time Rocio Dúrcal sang this song even tho Juan wrote it because he couldn’t bring himself to preform it. This song was sang by mariachis for Kobe Bryant outside staples center when he passed as well.
One song I can’t go through without crying. Losing my sister and my father back to back. This song portrays the emotion from losing his mother while on tour.
Absolutely amazing and gorgeous song and Juan Gabriel it’s an amazing artist
Wonderful
Buen video gracias
Thanks guys for taking you time to listen our music. Yes the song is very sad.
You guys should watch with the subtitles on-even if you don’t film it. They don’t always translate perfectly but in this one, it helps you understand.
Justin, your eyes are kind; your heart is open. Ms. You look lovely in yellow 💛🟡
This song gets me every time reminds me about the love that I will always have for my grandmother that passed away thank you guys for giving it a listen
Good ?
Perfection
He wrote this song in honor to his mom
And reflect on the they he was told of her passing.
Please find the translation .must people cry listening to this song.
This song is literally is play during funerals of mothers.
My grandma loved this song bc it meant so much esp after my grandpa died. We played it at her funeral. It's always what I think about when I hear it.
Spanish music has some wild sad lyrics with the happiest music lol 😂
I love my culture lol
Latin people are very family orientated we will scorch the earth for our love ones and our grandparents and parents are the world to us
🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
This man is a great singer with a Signature Sound. Like a Steve Perry when he belts it out you know it's him.
This is a beautiful and incredibly sad song that Juan Gabriel wrote for his close friend Rocio Durcal who is a famous singer from Spain. In fact, Durcal's version of this song is the most popular one and is what made her an international star. Contrary to most of the comments on this thread, the song isn't about Juan Gabriel losing his mother; it's about Rocio Durcal losing her son when he drowned during a vacation in Acapulco (thus the lyric, "mi mas triste recuerdo de Acapulco"). Juan Gabriel dedicates it to mothers here because it's about the pain only mothers can feel.
That’s actually not correct about Rocio son drowning. All of her kids are alive and well. Juan was in Acapulco when his mother died.
Hello; this song is about losing and remembering his mother; in Mexico is like a song of sorrow for those that lost not only a mother but also a loved one. the public always sang his songs in concert; few of the latino artists that did that. He was a legend.Love your channel, keep doing it. Blessings
They need to use translation in the video to make it easier for them to understand the song.
This song breaks anyone's heart.
Juan Gabriel wrote in the 1970's when his mother passed away while he was touring in Acapulco, Mexico at the beginning of his career. The song and the passing of his mother was so painful, he could not record or perform it for many years. Instead, Juan Gabriel gave the song to his friend, Spanish singer Rocio Durcal to record and release in 1984, who was in her own right a Legend as well in Mexico. Many people incorrectly believe that Rocio Durcal wrote the song dedicated to a child she lost in a drowning but that is false. Rocio Durcal is survived by her 3 children that live in Spain, Shaila Durcal which also sings.
First of all you are masters of voice, and this is why I watch you. Second, I appreciate very much your comment on a Mexican Great man who really made a great way to go on. And if you heard the lyrics the way they are going out of his mouth, you would really feel it in you heart.
Quê música linda chega até a nossa alma
He’s singing to his mom in heaven very heart ❤️ breaking
As you heard, Juan Gabriel dedicated this song to all mothers. Others have noted that his mother abandoned him when he was five years old. It is also thought that he is singing in remembrance of a lover who died. Gabriel was understood by everybody to be gay but in a time when he could not say, “”I am singing about my lost lover.” After the massacre of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in El Paso, this song became the theme used by everyone to remember their lost loved ones.
He dedicated this to his mom even thought they had a difficult relationship. But this lyrics can be dedicated to yolur child, wife granma dad sister etc..
If only yall knew what he saying :'(
As a young man who grew up raised by a Single mom who fought to keep us alive n well this song always brings tears to my eyes
It's the song I'll play at my mothers funeral when she passes for sure as she loves it too
It's about his late mother n how much he misses her and how there's nothing like a MOTHERS LOVE AND A MOTHERS LOVE IS BASICALLY ETERNAL IM CRYING NOW LOL
God bless my mother n all good loving mothers in the world ik the day she passes it will hurt me forever :(
This is a requiem hymn
How... did... you... not... blubber through that. It gets me every time.
You should listen to "queriendo y no" it's a love songs well , More like a broke up, but when You listen to ir You want to dance ,😁 Juanga makes You fell all emotions at the same time.
Juan Gabriel dedicated this song to his mother when she passed away. 😢😭 "Eternal Love"
This song is played a lot at funerals. I hate it and love it. It’s such a beautiful song but I can’t help but burst into tears whenever I hear it.
good reaction guys 👍
There's a soap opera abour his life. It's named after one of his most loved songs, "Hasta que te conoci"/Until I met you. It's on Amazon.
You have yet to see this guys real talent, one few song examples would be “Hasta Que Te Conoci”….thank me later
from the same show too
The story behind the song is that one of Juan Gabriel's best friends, Rocio Durcal, a famous Spanish singer, had her son drown during a holiday in Acapulco, Mexico. To help her deal with her grief, Juan Gabriel wrote this song for her. It is such an iconic and beloved song in Mexico, that most funerals in Mexico include a rendition of this song.
All of Rocios kids are still living. This song was written for his mother who passed away. Rocio was such a good friend of his and preformed this song also.
This isn't true. All her kids are still living
This song was dedicated to his mom that passed
The song is about his mothers and basically he says how he wishes she wouldn’t never died
👏👏👏👏👏
He wrote this master piece when he got word that his mom passed away. Please listen to "Luna" he wrote that master piece for Ms. Ana Gabriel when her dad passed away.

Just came across your channel. Ty for the reaction video. I have to say the song isn’t meant to be sad but more of a homage to motherhood. It is very powerful performance and emotional. Great job.

He compose for many artists over 1500 songs.
There is a series movie of his life, if you find a subtitled version see it. Is good, is sad and will show you how important that concert you are looking at was
Lyrics
You are the sadness in my eyes
that cry in silence for your love
I look at the mirror and I see my face, the time that I have suffered since your goodbye
I force my mind to forget you
since I’m always thinking of yesterday
I prefer to be asleep than awake
as it feels too painful that you are gone
How I wish
that you were living
that you dear eyes had never close ever
and I was looking at them
Eternal love
and unforgettable
sooner or later I will be with you to continue
loving each other
I have suffered much for your absence
since that day until now I am not happy
even though my conscience is clear
I know I could have done more for you
dark solitude I am living
the same solitude as your tomb
you are the one love that I have
the saddest remembrance of Acapulco
how I wish
that you were living
that you dear eyes had never close ever
and I was looking at them
Eternal love
and unforgettable
sooner or later I will be with you to continue
loving each other
