Can we have some recognition for Mark Pritchard? It’s his song, he produced it and Thom’s the brilliant collaborator. Sheesh. Listen to rest of the album it’s from, Under The Sun. It’s fantastic.
@dimitriskaraiskos8944 It's coming we just don't know when exactly. He's done a whole new collab album with Thom, we know because of ASCAP registering 12 new songs.
Thom is my favorite artist and favorite person even if back 30 years ago he screamed into the camera with his very blondish hair at a beach concert and dived right into the pool, I'm glad he's in half of the artists songs that I know.
I can’t get enough of this song. Mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, rainy, snowy, sunny, breezy, hills, oceans, plains, calm, chaos, light, dark, here, there, above and beyond. I can and I do listen to this song any time, all time, every time.
I can't find a flaw in this music/video. So transcending and soothing. To be able to a take a simple melody and repeat throughout the song, and weave other melodies within that repeating melody is not as easy as it sounds. Fantastic work.
Every time I hear this song, I feel like I’m being asked to remember that humanity, with all its needless drama, chaos and possibility of destruction - that there is also a capability within most of us for good. That our place is with this planet earth, so impossibly able to create life and out of all those rare chances, we are lucky to be here and alive.
Supernal piece of fine art. I can't think of anything else to compare this to. Every intricate detail in this song and video gives an ethereal feeling. The natural woodwind to create ancient folk soundscape. The subtle pitch bend on the keyboard, Tom Yorkes voice and the video, of which seems to be played backwards and reversed, kind of reminds me of Prometheus in the early scenes with Iceland being the backdrop. The lyrics seem to shock the hairs on my arms. A masterpiece, 4 years on and I'm still stunned...
I'd like to chime in as the person who has possibly watched this video more than anyone else. It is an astonishing work of art, and I feel it deserves to be re-released as a 4k video with surround sound and all the bells and whistles anyone could deliver. Not a demand of course, but simply a suggestion for what might possibly be the greatest music video of all time.
the original lyrics from the album booklet Hence my care for you Beautiful people You know you’re that Hence my care for you I can’t go back On all of that Hence my care for you That the love is ours That the love is ours A flap of the wings and the chaos that it brings Wake up my love Please don’t be sad There is no time That the light goes on That the light goes off Flies out of the window while angels stroke you hair To know you’re that I can’t go back I’m running blind I’m running blind I’m running blind Hence my care for you Beautiful people Taken from us (that our love is blind) If there is a God Hence my care for you You know you’re that And I am so afraid I’m running blind to the faces I have I can’t go back, to all of that To know you’re that I can’t go back I dial out the bad I dial out the bad Hence my care for you If there is a God If there is a God Cut me some slack

Never thought of a BBC news channel science programme as one to bring me to amazing music but here I am a month or so still listening to this and finding more. It's right up my alley for when I want to feel a little other worldly.
This coming from a lover of heavy music , that was stunningly beautiful , got to hear some more of his music . I'm back listened to some more and boy it didn't let me down , pure quality these are going to be played on repeat for a while , Mark you've made a 63 year old rocker very happy .
I think this would have worked beautifully as the credits song for Denis Villeneuve's 'Arrival'. And supposing it would have been written specifically for the film, the Oscar would have surrendered to Pritchard and Yorke. I know. I'm daydreaming.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like a lot of Thom’s solo material but, I find myself wishing it all sounded as good as this. Mark Prichard is too good and theses two sound excellent together.
I'm reading these comments and y'all are obviously asleep on the brilliance of Mark Pritchard and giving all the praise to Thom Yorke. It speaks volumes because for it makes me feel as if you guys are utterly clueless as to how genius Mark is as a producer of many styles, genres, and shit that just can't and shouldn't be defined.
personal song about loss, hopelessness and chaos, but the message is love and hope what a brilliant masterpiece put together, Thom’s contribution to this collaboration captured perfectly what the piece is about eerie mystical hypnotising cannot praise this piece enough from AU x
The story continues after Thom leaves that icy mountain cave from Daydreaming... After much contemplation on life, he has gained powerful supernatural powers and is now one with nature and light. § }; )~

Eagerly waiting all these years for the man's new album/work. "Under the Sun" was a gem from outer space

I keep her in the best playlist
This is why the art was made. For you too experience the unexpected.

Try Two Lanes - Another Time (feature Kwesi) that's another beautiful song.

This is an exquisite piece of art... ethereal and otherworldly.
That flute and drumbeat flows so well together.
Rudimentarily and for simps.
Thom always exudes such joy in everything he does
lol can't tell if this comment is meant as a joke or not, but if so, 10/10
Im crying with these comments hahahah
Right!? Such Joy&Freedom❤🔥🙌

Can't even begin to describe how beautiful this is.
This song is incomprehensibly beautiful.
It's so gorgeous, bleak, beautiful and Stark. Makes my mind relax in a strange and completely normal way.
Never heard of Mark Pritchard before. I like his sound. The song is great. And the music video is AWESOME!
Sometimes I forget Thom is human.
I love this song. Especially that beat and the accent keyboard. So sick.
not completly any more, just like us
@@claireninck7117 lol
@@Kesha_White lol what?? I m the Godess of Nothing anyway!
I think that's Mark Pritchard's touch there! The shifted vocals though? Masterpiece.
One of the best songs of the year, hands down.
Damn Thom takes the song to a different Universe
Man, Prithard's album, visuals, videos, music in general - everything is so perfect. THe atmosphere is killing me, I could watch this forever.

And producer and video producer. Poland best!
Woo, Poland!

@@robertrobertson2117 Me too
I'm so late to this party. Love this.
the original lyrics from the album booklet
Hence my care for you
Beautiful people
You know you’re that
Hence my care for you
I can’t go back
On all of that
Hence my care for you
That the love is ours
That the love is ours
A flap of the wings and the chaos that it brings
Wake up my love
Please don’t be sad
There is no time
That the light goes on
That the light goes off
Flies out of the window while angels stroke you hair
To know you’re that
I can’t go back
I’m running blind
I’m running blind
I’m running blind
Hence my care for you
Beautiful people
Taken from us (that our love is blind)
If there is a God
Hence my care for you
You know you’re that
And I am so afraid
I’m running blind to the faces I have
I can’t go back, to all of that
To know you’re that
I can’t go back
I dial out the bad
I dial out the bad
Hence my care for you
If there is a God
If there is a God
Cut me some slack
This is useful information

I think "Last I Heard" does a pretty good job of picking up the baton.
!!!!!!
Radically new dimensions of metaphysical transcendental art
Tom York never stops thrilling, lifting and surprising!
I keep coming back. More and more layers revealed. Thanks for the art.
Beautiful Thom
Beautiful.
Sometimes i love when RUclips sends me to this kind of places
Landscape, mood and character is so cool
This is breathtakingly beautiful
when you stop and think you've definitely pressed repeat on this song more than 100 times in the last 6 months.

100%, Thom agreed to collab for a very good reason. Mark's been making great music for decades.

hauntingly beautiful
These rocks I'm climbing down
Have already left the ground.
Careening through space.

Simply sublime in every way.

Why this isn’t in the “Death Stranding” OST?
like me =)))
because its too beautiful for that garbage
I was thinking the exact thing. Sought this out just cause of DS
Thom needs to change his name to Low Roar first
It would have been "The Perfect Marriage"!
This video was destined for this track.
