Shortly after setting up, I find myself in the situation we as hunters dream about in November: a hot doe nearby and bucks everywhere. My recurve target buck is one of the first ones I see, and he puts on an incredible display throughout the entire night!

Jared and Greg from the Hunting public remind me of each other with their video quality. The both produce incredible videos. There is music at times with Greg's videos but the videos are stunning! 2 of the best solo filmers out there.

Those are the days we dream of , but seldom witness. Its why i hunt . Get in the nasty stuff around doe bedding and hope a doe is getting close to estrus . Im on the tail end of just that type of week . Busted twice by my target buck, im waiting out a big front and letting it cool down . May be too late , but im close to his bedding area and have to push it .

My best day in the woods was when a hot doe bedded 22 yards from me. I could see her with my naked eye chewing and closing her eyes. Bucks all day long even though I never grabbed my rifle to shoot, I went feeling like I did. Awesome hunt man, that tree is sketch too!!

those bucks reminded me of the ladies drink free keg parties we had in college. all it ever did was turn into a sausage fest as they say today. great job maintaining focus in all the branches. stick or wheels, either way its turning into a fine story. best regards.

One frosty morning I was in a box stand and had at least 5 bucks chasing a doe on the gasline. This went on until 9am and then I decided to check the zero on my .308 that I had set at 250 yards. They were not anything to shoot, so I punched a doe tag.
Excellent footage as usual. Please do keep the faith with your recurve. The reward is so much more going simplistic. Thank you for sharing once again.

Whenever I see hot doe activity in the afternoon, the buck always pushes her out someplace overnight and the next morning hunt is dead. What's been everyone's experience seeing a buck locked down with a doe in the same area 2 consecutive days?
Awesome footage, Jared. I am using a camcorder for filming. It's a Panasonic HC-X1500 and shoots 4K in 60 fps. I am a long ways from knowing all the bells and whistles it has, but even then, it is just hard to compare with those DSLR's attached with a high-quality lens. My wife is a photographer, and she likes using Sony and Zeiss Lenses. They take beautiful pictures. The camera she has will overheat if you shoot video in 4K for long periods of time (like filming a basketball game for instance). One good thing about her DSLR is one of her lens... it has a 1.2 aperture and is awesome in low light conditions. The sensor in mine stinks for those situations.
You do nature and deer behavior great justice. I have one deer tag left, and once it's filled, I plan to go out and continue to hit the stands - not to shoot with my rifle, but my camera. 😜

What day? What time of day and what was the wind? Just curious lol. Great video!!
Have you experienced when a buck is on a trail, they most often will not respond to doe bleats or grunts? I have seen this to be the case where I am. It's frustrating when you see a buck just out of range, and he's on a mission, and will not respond.
