This guy ripped off and lied to kids and a quadriplegic, you don't think he's lying now?
Yes! He is a habitual liar.
We heard of several home or a hotel withdrawal, only one Rehab was mentioned and that took the failed attempt of a staged shooting in which he was the target? Then straight to rehab? If I understood correctly. So much detail is being allowed in his cross rather than be direct with answer, surely there is a strategy for him doing so and for the attorney to give him the slack. During cross the clock is ticking and 7sec on the clock at this point the clock is being run out, and defense req to insert 2 last minute testimonials, keen judge saw through that.
Yup! He's a big fat liar. GUILTY!
Just imagine how many deaths he and his family are responsible for through the generations !?
His Daddy was a total scheister!
Had a mistress for decades and flaunted her in front of his wife.
MIND BOGGLING..... seriously - how hard is it to get through life without killing people? particularly when inheriting heaps of $$$$.........shameful
Yep... Reminds me of that southerner and family - Bill Cljnton
An African proverb: “If you lie in the morning ,you have to lie in the afternoon to cover the lie ,and lie again in the evening to cover the lie of the morning and afternoon “
Also if you lie you have to have a good memory too😀 I feel he is putting together everyones testimony to suit himself.
If you lie, you'll steal and eventually kill If need be
What a wicked Web we weave, when first we plan to deceive.
He is a liar
Someone who spends their whole life lying isn’t going to suddenly stop. Addiction or not, he is a deceitful, immoral person. Can’t believe a word that comes out his mouth.
Whats he lying about now? I missed that point.
Murdaugh admitted that he was still in the kennels when Paul filmed the 8:45 p.m. video, in which he can be heard trying to get a chicken out of Bubba’s mouth.
“I got out of there,” he said, noting that he went back to the main house “to the air conditioner” before he “dozed” off on the couch in front of the TV.
map this house, the kennels are more than a five minute ride to the main house.... he would of clearly heard gunshots BEFORE he got to the front door.... 8:45 at the kennels verified on Paul's phone.... no way he got into the house, and went to sleep in 5 minutes...
And left again at 9:06pm
But he owned up to his wrongs. Even God forgives ppl . If it's only about stealing, maybe his family and friends help him.pay it.
Very good points, I agree. Although I've only seen it in pictures and bodycam footage, the kennels and the other structure(s) in that same area are a pretty good distance from the house. The property appears to be not only secluded and wooded, but also a pretty quiet area in general. He absolutely would have heard gunshots, even if he was in the house. There's no doubt, especially seeing as there were multiple shots fired. And you're so right, no way he immediately fell asleep within a couple of minutes upon going into the main house.
I agree. Not enough time. He may have went to the house, but it was to change clothes.
@@abigizaw1419 he just inherited 4 million from his dad. He has money!!
He is a very bad liar, but continues to lie, and he thinks he is still going to convince someone of his innocence. Again, my heart goes out to all affected by his deviancy.
He going home to his land and money
Land was sold and he is broke .
A true deviant. Too bad testimony of him frequenting escorts didn't come in. He and his cronies never paid for the escorts as they were supplied by his good friend "the madame".

WHT he went about it in tge way he did is what I want to know he's a lawyer and could have killed them in many other ways knowing the justice system so well that he could have gotten away with it easier...it was dine I'm a haste but why what happened that he decided it had to be done right then?
He has a nickname for everyone so he can appear to be chummy and friendly. Pure evil.
To be fair we do use nicknames alot in the south. Is he overdoing the "Paul Paul" absolutely
Totally agree. In all of his interviews, he does not call the song. Paw paw. Disgusting pos.
@@numbernine3436 He is because he is trying to appear a compassionate, loving human. Fake. All forms of deception are done with exaggeration. When directly lying he will add lots of detail as if to say see I am being totally open. Fake

He's the only person so far that has taken the stand that has turned his body to the jury and "performed". This is his stage.
The courtroom IS his stage.
Curtain call.
Crocodile tears!
The man started calling his son that was killed Pau pau to show the jury he loved his son but there's no videos or evidence of him calling him that.. he did it to sway the jury to think he's the good guy...
Time to shine, Ellick! 💩
A total lying Sociopath. The extent of detail he can recall is impressive, right until the prosecution asks him if he remembers EVER lying to clients about stealing 10 million plus from them.
He has snake eyes
He didn’t dispute on the stand he was a liar 🤥
Can't dispute anything he's as guilty as they come!!!!
YES!!! BINGO he can lie about MADE UP stuff- but the real stuff he did, he draws blank
@@giama7618 right....the point the prosecution began their cross examination with was his LIE about NOT being at the kennels. Only because the defense knew the fact that Paul's video CLEARLY has him there, they put him on the stand and for the FIRST TIME IN YEARS, he actually says he WAS there after all.
So, painting the long running history of him lying and stealing from injured and grieving families makes it obvious he is a pathological liar. The rest of today's cross examination just showed his abuse of legal power, and a professional working knowledge of how to cover up or fabricate details to get away with murder.
You combine this, with tomorrow's murder details and he will regret taking the stand.
Anytime something incriminating showing guilt come up "I don't recall". But everything else crystal clear in details.
Lies, tears, and an academy award in the making.
But hopefully the jury will disregard that and focus on facts, data and so forth
Anthony Michael Hall (the guy who played Dexer) would play the part well!!
You can tell he wanted applause when he mentioned he'd been sober for 500 days.
That IS something to be proud of.

What a legacy. This man would throw JC under the bus.
Sad for the son left 😢
What blows my mind. When one person does something wrong or commits a crime. Your body remembers what you have done. He remembers everything. Liar
Remember the witnesses said he had the ability to talk people into things. Basically he is a con artist. He is trying to con the jury, folks.
100%
He wanted to struggle with Eddy and kill him in self defense. The goal was to blame Eddy for shooting Maggie and Paul and act like he wanted to finish off AM.
Anyone saying the prosecutors cross wasn’t effective or that This was a win for AM is a fool. The fact he took the stand AT ALL shows major desperation from the defense; hail marrying to see if he can con the jury.
Some real common sense here, friend! He sounds completely unbelievable, with a selective memory.
I don’t believe that Alex was trying to have himself kill. He was trying to make people believe that the killer was still on the out there. The person who shot Alex in the head was marksman who wouldn’t have missed his kill shot especially at close range. Just look at his many past patterns that suggest he always covers up or lead people away from his crimes. I don’t understand why people would believe this narcissist would commit suicide.
I believe his plans :he might have Eddie out there, and then to wrestle with gun and kill Eddie. Say he killed him in self defense, after he admitted to killing mags and Paul pau
I believe he was trying to kill Eddie and blame him for the murders.
Law & Crime interviewed the attorney for Eddie, the distant cousin, handyman and person who was supposed to be his partner in opioids. She said his testimony (he has an alibi for the murders) is that Alec called him to road side, took a gun, tried to kill Eddie who is a big guy too, who struggled with Alex and shoved him back. Alec then fell back on the concrete road. They were still talking and Alec realized he had a cut from the fall on the back of his head and it was bleeding. That was when he came up with the story that Eddie, his 5th or 6th cousin, was trying to shoot him per an agreement that he kill him so Buster would receive his $12 million life insurance policies.
He admits he had to get out of there from kennels as he had shot them so went showered then to Maws and back to discover bodies .tried to erase phones but Paul’s went dead and Maggie’s locked so threw it to make like somebody else killed them
YUP
Where he hide Da guns is what I wanna no🙋
I can see how people found him likeable. I would too. He's candid here about the swindlling. But I just can't see him being honest when saying that the meeting with Seckinger wasn't the moment when the house of cards and the panic set in for him. I personally think it was also the moment he got the idea for murders and to do it that very night.
From the beginning of the trial, they knew their main hurdle was the video of him down by the kennels. His only choice was to take the stand and explain why he lied. So he lied about a lie. He’s not paranoid. he wasn’t paranoid to steal and lie every day of his life. And he didn’t have to lie about being down by the kennels, he could’ve simply said the truth I was down the kennels went home, and fell asleep.
Probably makes you a little less paranoid to drive around with a badge on your dash. Up until now he got away with...well, you know.
He knew time of deaths, that’s why he lied about kennels.
He sounds like and reminds me of Bill Clinton!😲
"that depends on what the definition of "IS," is..."
I remember so clearly how Bill Clinton pointed his finger into the camera, and told us all that he did not have sexual relations with that woman. It was so calculated to take authority over the viewers and deny sex with a more palatable form of language in order to force us to believe him. Then he referred to Monica as that woman in order to distance himself from her, and to tell the viewers that she wasn’t even worthy of a name. The abuse of power in that situation was unbelievable and yet he was so confident in his ability to lie that he came on television to do that. I voted for him, and cheered him as he reduced the national debt. But at that moment I knew he was lying. Then I listened to people in my party and family excuse away his guilt by talking about how JFK cheated on his wife while in office. It absolutely was not the same thing!
As scummy as Clinton is, at least he is smart and articulate. This guy is a total caveman in comparison
I thought the exact same thing!!
@@rosaliemaher2476 pretty much have resonated all that I was thinking about as I was watching this man testify. He definitely favors him physically and character wise.
I don’t believe he was addicted to opioids. I think the defense team conjured that up as a relatable defense.
Paul’s texts prove there was at least some sort of issue - plus there would be records from the formal detox facilities.
Just wait. Mental health will also be used. Demons don't need drugs nor mental illness to execute evil deeds.
If he had pain why not go to pain management for legit meds
Must opiate addictions are to legit prescribed pain medications .
This whole case tells me that this monster is a very bizarre person!
Why does he act so confident and constant smacking
He admits he is a liar
So he lies lies lies
Why is the prosecution giving him the opportunity? He's making a fool out of them. They're losing the jury. This is a murder trial. Jesus save this mess for the fraud.

I kept my bills paid, and even with a tree service and landscaping business, all my employees got paid on time everytime, I kept up with my bills. So you know for a fact the amount of money you can spend that day is the most you will do....tough battle
Prosecutors did not test him for drug addiction? I think he made it up as a smokescreen....blames drugs for taking his mind, memory, and his millions. Whoever believes his act is acting on sympathy he does not deserve.
@@rosaliemaher2476 - He blames the pills for killing them while methodically premeditating murders by luring Maggie to property, using two guns, driving quickly to his house where he tried to get staff to lie about how long he was there, inviting everyone to mess up scene, lies about being at kennel until video evidence proves otherwise, calls 911 upon returning to property without having anywhere near the time needed to find the two bodies, announces they are shot (how did he know that?), immediately tries to blame Mallory Beach friends for the killing. I hope he rots.
@Earl Zinnerman absolutely not..... As an expert, I can tell you that 3-$400 per day is the maximum amount a big guy, with a long habit CAN DO, without dying
Ha! Defense has him on the stand to confirm ALL of ALEX’s Lies. A liar can do that easily.
If you lie about being at the kennels…there must be a reason why you didn’t want anyone knowing you were at the kennels.
Guilty AF
Talk goes around around on hearing anything, I'm curious if they used "sonic suppressors, silencers to muff the shot sounds, the distance from the house, he heard no alarming screams or shots, would the kennel keeper hear shots or screams. Seems mom and son were taken by surprise while busy and knew who approached. Very tragic and sad, prayers for grace, truth, and light to all.
Ummmmm upon Maggie’s death who would be the new sole owner of all those properties?
Do you know how long that would take? Probate can take YEARS. Don't get me wrong, I think he's guilty, but money was not the motivation.
Totally get it, but just acknowledging the ownership of said properties is a moot point. Of course that just like probate all depends on what type of vehicles of transference of the properties upon death were set up. If a trust was in place probate is not a factor.
You say money wasn’t a motivator, but how much would Maggie and Paul have cost Alec in future if they’d lived? He admitted he was the sole breadwinner. Maggie wanted to buy a lot of things he couldn’t afford. Paul was already going to cost him millions. Men kill their families due to financial hardship every single day. Alec thought he could have his cake and eat it too, and come out a poor victim for sympathy’s sake.
Indigo Maggie and Paul had no life insurance so there was no reason for Alec to kill them for insurance money , so the state has no motive as to why he would want them dead ? And they have no DNA , no guns, no fingerprints, zero on Alec , except he lied about being at the Kennels at 8:45 with Maggie and Paul around the time they might have been killed .
He told sled he hadn’t been there , but Paul’s phone recorded his voice there .
@@rosesmall1245 - Who said it was about insurance money? Maggie met with divorce lawyers. Alex was going to lose at least half of NOTHING. She would have forensic accountants to find the millions missing and would have further exposed his embezzlement. The lawsuit Paul was in the mix of was asking $30 million to settle. They were about to expose Alex’s embezzlements too. Paul’s legal fees for his criminal defense would be another burden. He literally said he thought hr could win Paul’s case after he died.
Taking us on the scenic route-SO many excursions--I bet the defense is trying to stall so the cross is delayed until Monday. That way the jury sits with only Murdaugh’s direct to think about over the weekend.
He said he knew how humiliating this was going to be for his son. He didn't say sons... Was Paul already dead then?
This is horrible😢
He's doomed
With his jail house weight loss …wondering how his knee pain is currently?
Ha! Well according to him he took 10 pills an hour 24/365 for something like 20+ years straight so I'm sure his pain is huge.
Jk, I don't believe he was ever even an addict! I think he is using that bc opiate addiction appeals to the sympathy of the jury better than "I'm just plain greedy."

After they checked on the dogs and sent the friend the video of the tail. Why would they continue to stay down there? So Alex left by himself but his wife wanted to stay down at some smelly kennels for however much longer? Nope, he left them there dead.
That is what is bothering me. He asked his wife and son to return to that house and meet him at kennels. Then he testified, due to car forensics, that he went down, took a guinea out of a dog's mouth, and told them he was going to make a RT to visit his mother and would be back. After He asked them to meet him there for some reason. What were they to do, stand at attention for 1 1/2 hours. The goes to see his mother, 1 1/4-1/2 hr trip, goes to kennels and finds them. In the morning testimony, I thought he was doing well, but a full day of AM wears thin. I think his wife's sister said his wife had already told her that if he was sent to prison for something (pre-murders, of course), she was not going to be there every week or month, baking him cookies and bringing him food. That says she was a fed-up wife.
He is trying to confuse the jury with all this stuff about his law firm, . But "I dont remember. Is his answer to all incriminating questions. " hoping they will forget about murders? He best not try to take on Mark Tinskey!!
Jeannie dear, thank God daily because you could've been on Alex's hit-list. Thank you for being honest and honorable.

I'm really afraid that this judge is being too lenient on the subject of this cross. It's a bit like judge Ito in the OJ trial- he allowed so much trivial stuff in that he made the jury numb. The prosecutor is bringing up a lot of inconsequential things.
Who was supplying the drugs? How much was he buying? How often and how long? When was the last he sought help or treatment? Was he under the influence the night of the murders?
If this man’s mouth is moving, he’s lying.
He killed them while sitting on the golf cart.
He changes the set of his mouth/jaw when he is lying and when he looks around to check if he thinks ppl are believing him.
How to you have that smoking gun moment when he is agreeing to every thing you are saying
He admitted tell after he was caught out telling lies, why did he phone his wife and tell her to come back that night and he told Paul to go home that night also,
AM ‘s. eyes look black!! Creepy!!
His Reptilian face is so appropriate for such a snake in the grass! I cannot watch these videos of him..too chilling.
His son will soon be charged for his involvement in the death of a young gay man. This entire "family" has blood on their hands.
I am beginning to put a lot of stock in forensics and technology because in the areas where there is viable testimony, if the jury has already made up its mind, it ignores the viable and sensible testimony because it had decided on its verdict, but neutral data can give Great influence to move out ahead of poor juries to make proper findings on appeal. We may be seeing the beginning of a real clean-out of the jury system, when juries cannot keep up with technical data.
Forensics? Are you referring to the county coroner method for assessing time of death with the touching of the armpit 🤣🤣🤣
They can't even present and explain the data to the lay person, let alone anyone making heads or tails of the crap they spewed. Maybe if someone who could turn the data into a picture, instead of just a computer print out.
Not before time huh

50,000 a week for opioids?
That’s a crazy amount of money to spend on drugs. If that is true, and he stole money from so many, that would be enough info for me to think he’s likely guilty. Plus the son who was killed, Paul, was facing 25 years in prison, which he’d never survive.
