After listening to this beautiful performance, I would like to put my bassoon together and start playing. But its in the middle of the night - I have to wait until tomorrow ☺

I had just such a reaction, but I haven't played since the 90s. I think I would have to redo some pads and corks first.

Ascoltato anche il concerto RV 495 di Vivaldi. Meravigliosa solista, suono di limpida purezza, un balsamo per la nostra mente. BRAVISSIMA!
    CHAPEAU!

The YT computer directed me to this performance of a concerto which I only recognized from recordings on FM radio. Parabens a todos!!! Thanks for posting! All the best from an audience member in metro-Washington,DC😊

6:12-6:24 is PERFECTION. The low to high. You play so clearly and clean.

Excellent music work of Hummel. I like to listen to classical melodic music composers and Hummel is one of them. Plus, there was a very good orchestra and a giant bassoonist either. Thanks for uploading.

What.a fine from a composer I don't know very well and a delight in the use of a basson as a solo instrument, most appreciated for the performance.

Wunderbar!!

There are wrong notes in the oboes (misprints?) bar 42 - listen here at 1:49
The 1st Oboe starts on a high g and holds it into the next bar. Because there is no bassoon playing the chromatic line going down, the oboe sounds silly. May be not the best harmonic transition by Hummel - or a misread by the editor - or just not well balanced between 1st and 2nd Oboe. I would love to have a peek into the score🔎🎶
And now after having listened to that bit 20 times over and over again I got used to it..

Actually, its just a balance thing, the second oboe isn’t audible at that point, either missed the entrance or is being too careful..

You really know your music to catch that! I'm an amateur trombonist and would never notice that.
