fantastic technique and astounding lung capacity! really brought this piece to life, and the rest of the orchestra, I have zero idea how you can play strings with a mask without it riding up into your eyes. Extreme discipline and commitment here just magnificent.
She made it look easy. I once played bassoon. That sort of performance is FAR from easy. Great technique and musicianship.

Low notes are captivating, especially when they are played by an instrument as beautiful as the bassoon, the entire performance of the soloist and the orchestra was wonderful, but the low notes captivate me, very beautiful, bravo.

I'm an amateur trombonist and this amazes me. The tone and dynamics are beautiful on the bassoon instrument which I am sure is much more difficult to play than the trombone.

GREAT playing! Just confused why she was playing along with the orchestra during the intro before her solo started. Is that normal for this piece?
I think the same things but her hands don't move! Isn't it?
Yes! It is normal. The bassoon can play also the part of "basso continuo". It is very usually in Vivaldi's concerts for example.

Met recht een concerto da esperimento niet in een hoofdtoonsoort maar in voor elk deel een eigen toonsoort (een Rossiniaans grapje?)
