- I just recently learned from my buddy Tom about a new way prisoners are tattooing while locked up using a water driven tattoo gun. I was so intrigued by this that I wanted to see if we could recreate something similar. Hope you enjoy!

The Dollar Tree and Dollar General are the perfect places to get prison quality items LOL. At dollar general, they have an aisle with all the $1 items on it snacks, Hygiene etc, we call it the commissary aisle at our local DG

That impeller needs to have it's blades at 90 degrees to the water flow in order to be able to get maximum amount of energy from the water. You need a small nozzle near the impeller that's going to only put water pressure on one side, say at the bottom of the tattoo gun only. If you have water flow both on the top and bottom of that thing it's going try to spin the impeller in opposite directions at the same time, and nothing happens.

We stole a trash bag and tied it around the end of the water gun when I was locked up in chesapeake and the end of the trash bag would drain into the toilet I got my whole chest done with a water gun in chesapeake jail
Man that is wild! I’ve never seen anything like this before!
It's dope it liked getting my chest blasted with the water gun didn't hurt to bad compared to street guns they perfected making them at hampton roads regional and when a bunch of guys came to chesapeake and va Beach some of my boys could make them with a state shampoo and like 12 to 15 pen tube they could whip up a gun in 20 minutes you gotta make your jet smaller so the water is like a thin line of water that hits your wheel it'll sound louder then a real gun when you get it running right! If u just used another pen tube taped to the 2 big hose as the inlet it would have upped the pressure and probably worked better

You're using WAY too much water. All you need is a pin prick.
By Bernoulli's principle if you obstruct the larger line at pressure to a small hole, the speed will increase rapidly (think about holding your thumb over a garden hose to act as a nozzle). You will end up with a small, fast, LASER like steam that you can aim at just the right point on the turbine.
As it is, most of the water is wasted bypassing the turbine or worse, pushing against the wrong side and acting against the rest of the water.
That’s a lot of water lol
If it doesn't work you can put your weed in it....

I am never shocked or amazed, etc, by the "As Seen on TV" infomercial junk. But am always amazed by the ingenuity of jailhouse/prison engineering! With a college education in industrial mechanics, it's even more impressive with the ingenuity. If ya need help with conversions from hose size/pressures/etc holler! I'd love to help develop this out simply cause the concept is solid, just needs work on the ratios.
