The oil painting in your book “Color and Light” of the gumball machine in Mahone Bay NS is one of my favorites.
Well that brought back a few memories! My Great Uncle Homer was in the gumball machine business in Portland, Maine from the 1960s to the 1980s. He would give a great big bag of gumballs to me, my brother and sister when we visited him and my Aunt in the summers of my childhood.

I find it really hard not to spend days on paintings. I bought a little sketchbook and gouache paints 🎨, I really want to paint quicker, so I pickup the brush more.

I lke the work, of course, but also the sound, to have the background noise instead of "music" is a plus IMO.
