Great list Jim, but here's my list.... 10) Axelay (everything great about Gradius III cranked to 11) 9) Killer Instinct (it was everything I loved about fighting games) 8) Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (everything great about the first game cranked to 11) 7) Hagane: The Final Conflict (basically SNES's own answer to Shinobi on the Genesis) 6) Star Fox (who knew the SNES was capable of amazing visuals like that back in the day) 5) Kirby Superstar (one of my favorite Kirby games ever) 4) Cybernator or AKA: Assault Suits Valken (this is one of the games that made me a hardcore mecha fan) 3) Super Metroid (one of the greatest games on the SNES, hands down) 2) Final Fantasy III/VI (2nd greatest RPG on the SNES) 1) Chrono Trigger (this game has everything a budding RPG fan could ever want and thensome)
Hey Kidsho, ive probably said this before but i really need to say how much i appreciate the vids. mannn when the daily grind weighs down heavy on me, seeing a bit if retro and simple game content really feels like a nice break from it all. Hope things are well in jp
Great Top 10 list, Jim. Picking just 10 is hard as the Super NES/Super Famicom had an outstanding library of games. But here my personal Top 10: 10.- Battletoads in Battlemaniacs 9.- Final Fantasy III (VI) 8.- Donkey Kong Country 7.- Super Metroid 6.- Super Mario All-Stars 5.- Super Mario World 4.- MegaMan X 3.- Star Fox 2.- Final Fantasy II (IV) 1.- Super Mario Kart Honorable mentions: Gradius III, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Tetris & Dr. Mario, Tetris Attack, Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat II, MegaMan 7, Super Ghouls n' Ghosts, Actraiser, U.N. Squadron, Knights of the Round. So many great games. Long Live the Super NES, a timeless game system.
For me: 10) Final Fantasy VI 9) Super Nova (Darius Force) 8) F-Zero 7) Killer Instinct 6) Super Mario RPG 5) Super Mario Kart 4) Earthworm Jim 2 3) Legend of Zelda: LttP 2) Super Metroid 1) Star Fox
I'm a massive Chrono Trigger fan but your scores are totally respectful. I was never into fighting games, but I know their impact. We can both agree that Zelda was god tier.
My list mainly based on how much of a good time I remember having playing with friends back in the day. 10: NBA Jam 9: Legend of the Mystical Ninja 8: Super Bomberman 7: Super Aleste (Space Megaforce) 6: Rock'n'Roll Racing 5: Super Probotector (Contra 3) 4: Super Mario World 3: Super Mario Kart 2: Secret of Mana 1: Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Great video Jim here’s my personal list 1- Final Fantasy III 2-Secret of Mana 3- Chrono Trigger 4- Super Mario World 5- A link to the past 6- Mega Man X 7- Mega Man 7 8- Donkey Kong Country 2 9- Street fighter 2 10- The Ninja Warriors
My 10 favorite SNES games in no particular order: Super Mario World TMNT IV Turtles in Time Aladdin Street Fighter 2 Turbo The Lion King Donkey Kong Country Killer Instinct WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game Mortal Kombat 2 Super Punch Out Honorable Mentions : Battletoads & Double Dragon Tetris/Dr Mario
I never got around to that X-MEN game, but played all the others on here and have no objections! (well I'd put chrono trigger higher, but this isn't my list so... ) my list would probably be similar, just replace X-MEN with Final Fantasy 6!
X-Men is awesome, but it's also short. I don't mind at all, I just start over infinitely, but it might not be enough game to make other people's top 10.
You made a mistake: MegaMan X is supposed to be no.1!! I know this is your list. As a Genesis kid, MegaMan X was by far and large, my opinion of the best SNES game
Not bad man here's my list 10. Adventures of Batman and Robin 9. Beavis and Butt-Head 8. Mickey's Magical Quest 7. Super Mario All-Stars 6. Super Mario World 5. Scooby-Doo Mysteries 4. Contra III: The Alien Wars 3. Goof Troop 2. Inspector Gadget 1. Tmnt IV: Turtles in Time
That's a solid list, though I must say I've never played Scooby-Doo. I did play the hell out of Beavis and Butt-head though, I ended up buying it from the video rental store when they were getting rid of SNES games.
Nice I like Beavis and Butt-Head too it was a sad day they got rid of Super NES and Genesis to replace them with N64 and PS1 and Dreamcast@@MadPanicGaming
It was a generation that made great leaps forward, but still required a lot of creativity and talent to work with limited resources. Such a great time to be a kid and a gamer.
Snes/super famicom is perhaps the best system every made. At least top 5. Just when I think I’ve updated my knowledge on the catalog, I find even more bangers for this system.
Nice list Jim, good to see a SNES top 10 without a tonne of RPGs too. Especially agree with you about Super Castlevania IV and Gradius III. What a phenomenal couple of soundtracks. My top 10 (bearing in mind a lot of the classic SNES RPGs never made it to the UK): 1. Super Mario World 2. Super Castlevania IV 3. Super Mario Kart 4. Street Fighter II Turbo 5. TLOZ: A link to the past 6. Super Metroid 7. F-Zero 8. Super Tennis 9. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja 10. Gradius III (played it on Wii VC as it was never released here till then) Honourable mentions: Pilotwings, Axelay, Actraiser, Sim City, Super Bomberman (with a multitap and 4 controllers 👌)
Sadly i didnt own a snes until now. I always just went to my cousins, so for that its hard to make a top 10 for me. My top 3 tho. 1. Tetris Attack 2. Megaman X 3. Turtles in Time
I never was the biggest fan of Mario World honestly. It's a good game and all, but I was always way more into fighting games, Mega Man, Castlevania, Zelda etc.
Mario World is a good game and all, just not one of my SNES favorites. I always thought of it as the game that you play when you have nothing else to play, but once I had Mega Man X and Super Castlevania IV, I didn't have much use for Mario World.
Thanks for watching, everyone! What are your favorite SNES games? Also, if I do another top 10 list, while console would you like to see featured?
Genesis/MD
playstation 1 pls
A Wonderswan list would be hard to make but would expose people to a lot of new games, and a lot of final fantasy ports
SEGA Saturn!
Great list Jim, but here's my list....
10) Axelay (everything great about Gradius III cranked to 11)
9) Killer Instinct (it was everything I loved about fighting games)
8) Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (everything great about the first game cranked to 11)
7) Hagane: The Final Conflict (basically SNES's own answer to Shinobi on the Genesis)
6) Star Fox (who knew the SNES was capable of amazing visuals like that back in the day)
5) Kirby Superstar (one of my favorite Kirby games ever)
4) Cybernator or AKA: Assault Suits Valken (this is one of the games that made me a hardcore mecha fan)
3) Super Metroid (one of the greatest games on the SNES, hands down)
2) Final Fantasy III/VI (2nd greatest RPG on the SNES)
1) Chrono Trigger (this game has everything a budding RPG fan could ever want and thensome)
A solid list indeed.
Great list Jim!!
I'd like to hear your top 10 (Top 20 better!!) Shmups of all time ...
Console Turbo grafx.
🐕👌😎🏆
Those are some great ideas. I'll have to add them to the schedule. I definitely have some "Best Shmups" vids planned.
*fantastic Top 10 list sir I like Castlevania 3 and 4 Love Zelda but Secret of Mana is as good sir!* ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Thank you greatly, James, now my life has direction and my retro game collection backlog has added value.
Hey Kidsho, ive probably said this before but i really need to say how much i appreciate the vids. mannn when the daily grind weighs down heavy on me, seeing a bit if retro and simple game content really feels like a nice break from it all. Hope things are well in jp
As always, it's my pleasure. You keep watching them, I'll keep making them.
Still love me some SFC box art. Oh, Super Castlevania is my jam 😄😄😄
Great Top 10 list, Jim. Picking just 10 is hard as the Super NES/Super Famicom had an outstanding library of games.

1) Star Fox
I'm a massive Chrono Trigger fan but your scores are totally respectful. I was never into fighting games, but I know their impact. We can both agree that Zelda was god tier.
I have 7 out of 10. I'd like xmen, chrono trigger but I'll miss mortal kombat.
My list mainly based on how much of a good time I remember having playing with friends back in the day.
10: NBA Jam
9: Legend of the Mystical Ninja
8: Super Bomberman
7: Super Aleste (Space Megaforce)
6: Rock'n'Roll Racing
5: Super Probotector (Contra 3)
4: Super Mario World
3: Super Mario Kart
2: Secret of Mana
1: Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Solid list. I too played the hell out of NBA Jam.
Hi Jim from Mad Panic Gaming! How's your night going?
Great video Jim here’s my personal list
1- Final Fantasy III
2-Secret of Mana
3- Chrono Trigger
4- Super Mario World
5- A link to the past
6- Mega Man X
7- Mega Man 7
8- Donkey Kong Country 2
9- Street fighter 2
10- The Ninja Warriors
Nice, solid list.
A Top 10 list for Snes/Sfc is a crime against humanity tho. But for me at the top is A link to the past
My 10 favorite SNES games in no particular order:
Super Mario World
TMNT IV Turtles in Time
Aladdin
Street Fighter 2 Turbo
The Lion King
Donkey Kong Country
Killer Instinct
WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game
Mortal Kombat 2
Super Punch Out
Honorable Mentions :
Battletoads & Double Dragon
Tetris/Dr Mario
Nice, that's a great bunch of games.
Growing up I was gifted a SNES core system w/ Mega Man X being the first game. I played it for a whole year Great list Jim!
It's a perfect game.
You made a mistake:
MegaMan X is supposed to be no.1!!
I know this is your list. As a Genesis kid, MegaMan X was by far and large, my opinion of the best SNES game
It's definitely the best action platformer.
Super Aleste/Space Megaforce and Panel De Pon/Tetris Attack are my top 2. I’ve tried multiple attempts but I could never get into chrono trigger.
Fair enough. I also LOVE Super Aleste, but I didn't play it until I was already an adult and getting more into shmups.
Not bad man here's my list
10. Adventures of Batman and Robin
9. Beavis and Butt-Head
8. Mickey's Magical Quest
7. Super Mario All-Stars
6. Super Mario World
5. Scooby-Doo Mysteries
4. Contra III: The Alien Wars
3. Goof Troop
2. Inspector Gadget
1. Tmnt IV: Turtles in Time
That's a solid list, though I must say I've never played Scooby-Doo. I did play the hell out of Beavis and Butt-head though, I ended up buying it from the video rental store when they were getting rid of SNES games.

The 16-bit era will forever be my favorite period in video games. So many bangers that define genres as we know them and SNES has some of the GOATs.
It was a generation that made great leaps forward, but still required a lot of creativity and talent to work with limited resources. Such a great time to be a kid and a gamer.
Wow
DKC2 will always be my favourite game of all time on ANY console.
It's a solid game, there's no denying that, and the soundtrack is mind blowing!
My favorite SNES games are Super Metroid, Mega Man X and Super Mario World.
All classics.
I was expecting Actraiser
Great game, but not amongst my favorites. Actually, I prefer the second game.
Snes/super famicom is perhaps the best system every made. At least top 5. Just when I think I’ve updated my knowledge on the catalog, I find even more bangers for this system.
Agreed. Definitely invest in a Super Everdrive. I have it and it's fantastic. You can literally play almost every game on it. I have a Super Famicom
It is indeed one of if not the best game libraries ever. Tons of solid, all-time classic titles.
Nice list Jim, good to see a SNES top 10 without a tonne of RPGs too. Especially agree with you about Super Castlevania IV and Gradius III. What a phenomenal couple of soundtracks.
My top 10 (bearing in mind a lot of the classic SNES RPGs never made it to the UK):

5. TLOZ: A link to the past

10. Gradius III (played it on Wii VC as it was never released here till then)
Honourable mentions: Pilotwings, Axelay, Actraiser, Sim City, Super Bomberman (with a multitap and 4 controllers 👌)
Great top 10 list!
How can you put a top ten SNES games list and NOT include SUPER FREAKIN' METROID?!?!?!?!?
Great choices and very fun video! 👍💯🔥😀
Much appreciated.
Hey Jim? Have you posted both new videos? Like racing games and sonic games collection on Xbox 360?
Sadly i didnt own a snes until now. I always just went to my cousins, so for that its hard to make a top 10 for me. My top 3 tho.
1. Tetris Attack
2. Megaman X
3. Turtles in Time
aaaahh ! The nostalgia 🥲
Dude!!! Killer list!!! You even added MK2 chef’s kiss
Swop mega man with mario world, xmen with wwf royal rumble and its my 💯 ❤snes list! 😎
It's a great list but it's super weird not seeing SMW here.
I never was the biggest fan of Mario World honestly. It's a good game and all, but I was always way more into fighting games, Mega Man, Castlevania, Zelda etc.
No Mario World? Not even honorable mention? Shame
Mario World is a good game and all, just not one of my SNES favorites. I always thought of it as the game that you play when you have nothing else to play, but once I had Mega Man X and Super Castlevania IV, I didn't have much use for Mario World.
I'm the same age as you
I’m not sure what it means to “1CC” a game
