Don't really want a Furiosa movie. I wanted another MAX movie ffs.
tough, cry less
I hear you. Furiosa is good however. I hope Miller. Makes a Mad Maxx Film soon.

Seven minute standing ovation??? No f-ing way anyone in their right mind is honestly clapping at anything for seven minutes straight…
8pm thursdays, some are still clapping for the nhs.
There isn’t a movie created a give a minute standing ovation to let alone 7.

I agree, this would be like Lethal Weapon without Mel or Danny.
this is like having a superman movie but the main character of the story is Lois Lane
How very 2024
Looks CGI heavy from what I saw, I like the practical effects that they had in fury road
Nahh im out, it looks nothing like the first. I prefer practical effects over CGI any day of the week. I never trust first/second hand accounts, i trust my own opnion. If you enjoy the movie then great! But i like my Mad Max films about.... well Mad Max.
First mad max had A LOT of cg
@@Stop_Loss my statement was that I prefer practical effects over CGI. Not that this movie had more or less. My issue is that it doesn't have the same feel visually like the first did when I first saw the trailer. They are trying to make Furiosa the female Mad Max.... when we just wanted more of Mad Max..
@@8486odin "They are trying to make Furiosa the female Mad Max.... when we just wanted more of Mad Max" no you're the one trying to make Furiosa a female Mad Max, that's your woke narrative you want to push, holy shit, George Miller has explained in multiple interviews that he's focused on pre-Fury Road worldbuilding, he wrote enough material to make a Furiosa prequel and Mad Max one too, not Miller's fault you want everything to be a Disney flop.
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 what part of what I said was woke? How far people have come when fans that want a Mad Max sequel, not a prequel, are called "woke." I could careless who produced/directed a film. What matters is if you enjoy it. But the fact of the matter is that many of us wanted a sequel, not a prequel. So if you can't understand that, then it's on you, not me.
@Stop_Loss the first mad max had NO cgi. It was released in 1979. 😅
I have no interest in seeing a Mad Max movie without Mad Max in it.
then why was Beyond Thunderdome so poorly recieved? that had Max in it?
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 most likely because that movie was s**t...MM1&2 are the only ones worth watching...who says everything Max is in is perfect ? I thought MMFR was a pointless crap, though it had one of the best special effects ever. Also if "everyone" wanted a furiosa thing so much, why not come up a with an original idea with its own World, without using MadMax's name/fame and everything in the franchise ? what a brave move !
@@rojelio011 I was goin for the argument that there can still be good stories told without Max as well as 'bad' stories told with Max, ie Thunderdome. and of course, its a Wasteland, there's other quirky characters aside from Max who do things and create iconic vehicles, otherwise these movies would be boring as drying paint.
if you think Fury Road was pointless all I gotta say is take that opinion to the comments of a Fury Road vid and watch the sparks fly haha
me personally, I just love all the movies especially when learn about the behind the scenes stuff, worth a watch/read.
"Also if "everyone" wanted a furiosa thing so much, why not come up a with an original idea with its own World, without using Mad Max's name/fame and everything in the franchise ?"
because George Miller already wrote enough prequel backstory for these characters that he wanted to do a Furiosa prequel and Mad Max 5. He's written this material over a decade ago, even before filming Fury Road, he's said this in a few interviews already. they're passion projects that's expanding on the lore of the wasteland set in my own country, no way am I gonna be mad about that. I don't think anyone's doing a 'brave move' its just people who enjoy making films.
Are you basically saying "We Don't Need Another Hero" as sung by Tina Turner 💃🎶
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 What's that got to do with me not wanting to see a Mad Max movie without Mad Max in it?
Wow... already 9 years since Fury Road!?! I've seen the movie once or twice and remember every scene as if it was only a couple of years ago.
Looks like a rehash of Fury Road. But more CGI looking. Same setting, same villains and characters. Everything repeated expect Max himself. In all the previous movies it was the opposite. Max was the only constant but in different communities with different characters each film. I'll watch it for free once it's streaming but have no real interest
Well, the real Max wasn't even in Fury Road, so it's just another Aftermath film.
storywise, its nothing like Fury Road, this movie is set in chapters and spans over 18 years, you don't even know what you're talking about
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 I'm talking about what it looked like from the trailer. I haven't seen the film.
I loved Fury Road, sat on it for years. Not sure about a Mad Max film without Max in it. Stunning and brave I guess.
Saw Fury Road on digital few months after it aired and boy I was pissed I missed it in cinemas
Fury Road was terrible - it was a bait and switch with a girlboss, and the story was stupid: they drove out, turned around and went back. Plus they lied about CG, saying that there was none. Obviously wrong - everything in teh background was fake.
@russ254 Did you really think they filmed in an actual lightning sandstorm? Did you think they had 2-headed lizards running around?
It's called a prequel. It's before she met max.
Anti woke people are becoming just as annoying as woke people nowadays.
Is furiosa woke? No. I guarantee you it is not.
If Furiosa was woke there would be no war boys. It would be war people of every race gender and body type and factions would be lead by females diminishing Furiosas struggle in the world when she is surrounded by females. Also Furiosa wouldn't struggle at all if this was a woke film. She would be good at everything and she would learn to accept herself and that would be the only shallow message.
Mad Max Fury Road was about bad men running the world. Only the bad men thrive in this world and run things. Older men like immorton joe (uncle sam) using propaganda and lies to control young men to wage his wars. That is what is interesting. It's a world run by the most insane. The world is destroyed by bad men and then bad men continue to wage wars against each other destroying it further. Of course females would revolt and live amongst themselves. And they struggle. They aren't marry sues. Furiosa is going to struggle and overcome a hell of alot in the film I promise you. It's good story telling.
Anti woke people can't accept a female lead even when the film is good. I wish both sides would level out a bit and just be normal lol
No doubt it will be full of 5'5 slim girl bosses kicking everyones ass. Yawn 😂
So you doubt that females are capable of driving cars and rigs? Any other issues..?

FURIOSA in one word “VENGEANCE”
The first part we discover FURIOSA children and his mother, the meeting with DEMENTUS will be the beginning of a long journey for FURIOSA. In his eyes the death of his mother crucified and condemned by his worst enemy. The FURIOSA legend is written before our eyes, George MILLER at the top of his ART explodes our retinas. Amazing.
The dumbest thing i hear about these festivals is when they say it had a - minute standing ovation....
i dont believe a single one of those sources
Same. Rotten Tomatoes has not been a credible source in years.
Does anyone else not watch ANY modern TV shows/films? The only things i watch that are even related to that utter shite are channels like this one.
me too!
You're the only one.
RUclips, Retro Crush (manga/anime) Twitch are the only TV apps I watch. Everything else is hot garbage
I am watching a few current season anime. One where a guy is in a world where demi-humans (a.k.a. beast bipeds) are treated with disrespect, then he is moved to another world to be a hero candidate, deemed not strong enough and kicked to the curb, then he ends up killing an entire forest full of demons, and a demon-wolf with a babe human form latches onto him, i.e. wants to be his wife.
Then there's one where this guy was defeated and slain by the big wicked dude and then he is reincarnated as the seventh son of a king and he practices magic, defeats a demon and turns him into his pet called Grim, then he meets a girl but uses an age up spell and changes his name and they go on a little adventure before he returns home and the anime goes from there.
Then there's one where a vampire princess was a shut in for three years but now has to command an army and has lied about raising a single finger and killing a bunch of antagonists at once. Now she is being targeted by assassins.
And a few more titles.
I just watch reruns of OLD sitcoms and star trek .
The cannes film festival is pretty much a corporate show now. remember when they gave a standing ovation to the dial of dysentery ?
Good point my man!
@@redsyrup1138 Very kind of you.
I thought no one was clapping a Cannes and that's what made everyone realize the screwed up
I dont have a problem with CGI, in fact a LOT of the visuals in Fury Road were all CGI (most of the stunts were obviously real). But it was the way they blended it and stylized the whole film that made it feel unique.
Should you be able to use the name Mad Max if he doesn't appear in it?
That's probably the studios demanding it say mad max somewhere. Incredibly stupid
How do you even know? I heard otherwise...
He does appear in it
Bait and switch……
A "Road Warrior" saga would have been more fitting if it's not Mad max centric
Why are we not getting Mad Max
I felt the last movie was her movie, so still waiting for a modern mad max film 🤔
it very much was her movie...she was even the one elevated in the end, so what more would anyone need. If there should be another Mad Max movie, it should be with Mel Gibson.
@@rojelio011 would love to see Gibson as an old Max, although I do like Hardy he wasnt right for the role in my opinion.
@@jasonosborne3637 Yeah Hardy was a miscast imo too and I'm a fan of him as well.
so, while it may not be exceptional like fury road, it is showing that it is legitimately solid, which Ill gladly take
WB getting so many wins this year. I guess Joker Folie a Deux might be riding smoothly too, would be peculiar if it is the odd duck out and all the other big WB titles in 2024 float.
Gives me sin city 2 vibes. Certainly won’t see it in theaters but will watch eventually on streaming.
Zero interest. No Mad Max. Why would I bother?
Is it a good story? A good film? That's what I care about
I have no idea if it will be. I'll wait until I get a better idea of both critics and fans responses to it before I decide to watch it not (I rarely have time to watch films so I need to be picky)
...the world, bruh!...the setting!...you like Fallout?...Fist of the North Star?...it's all Mad Max...give it a chance...you liked Fury Road, right?...that was more about Furiosa than Max, and it was still good...this'll be about Furiosa, but also about Dementus...think of the ham, bruh!...lol...
I didn't like Fury Road. Max spent half the movie strapped to the hood of a car. I watch Mad Max movies to see Max do something other than be strapped to the hood of a car.
@@TonyHopper-cm8dxI doubt you even watched the whole film dude.
I'm all for Furiosa as long as she doesn't turn out to be another Hollywood girlboss like Cora from Rebel Moon
It will be another live action Mulan.
I personally am looking forward to seeing this film but I am cautiously optimistic about every film these days. Though like most people in the chat I would rather see a Mad Max film. I think the only people that were asking for a Furiosa film are uber Mad Max fans. On the other hand I think it is interesting that they are doing films about the other characters in the Mad Max universe.
I thought Fury Road was overrated, to be honest. I'll see this prequel, but I wasn't interested enough in Furiosa to want a film about her. I'd rather they'd made a new Mad Max film with Max meeting new characters. Everything looks hellishly CG here. A lot of Fury Road did too. Whenever people talk about the real vehicles used in FR, I point to the unrealistic digital grading and CGI storms. I can't see any great link to the gritty, grimy first two movies. I believed in those films - and even the third to a great extent - but the modern Mad Max conforms to the modern world of the CGI-enhanced blockbuster.
I HOPE that the movie is going to be a good one.
However, I don't underestimate Hollywood's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Thanks Mr H. I'll be there day 3 of the UK release... this weekend. BFI Imax recently screened Fury Road (I'd forgotten how good it was!) so I'll be able to compare the two.
Meant to be incredible! Looking forward to this. Think the world it’s set in is really cool
Yes, I'm definitely in!
furiosa and the green screen of death.
Someone who was lucky to see the film said to me that every trailer looked like shit compared to the final result in the film. Miller stays true to himself and almost every car or motorcycle stunt was done in a practically way on real sets in Australia. Even that scene were the Rig crushes through that chimney building, which looked 100% CGI to me, was done for real!! So I'm hoping the best...
Yeah I’ve read miller saying , they went and shot everything with practical effects
Funny thing is...the Fury Road trailers looked heavily CG because the marketing department only used the sparse few places it was really used.
This guy is one of the most toxic youtubers. Allso very hateful
Oh yeah, I recall the trailer, CGI was pretty bad. If entire movie is of this quality then it is a much worse movie
I like the look & idea of this but I kinda wish this wasn’t a prequel because we know what’s gonna happen to her or at least take a wild guess and we all know Furiosa will never be in any serious peril which is one of the reasons I’ve never been too fond of prequels especially since they’ve been done to death now especially Star Trek being a perfect example but I’ll still give this a chance as it still looks like a fun action film at least
HYPED FOR THIS FILM 🔥
I'm excited for this film. Looks good, reviews sound good. All good.
yeah sure watch another one of our male franchises go down the drain, and taken over by feminism
Cant wait
Fury Road was just an outstanding work of art and badass guy film. George Miller has NEVER let us down with his Max series.
Furiosa was a great character. Tough but human and flawed. And she didn’t just kick Max’s ass. He got the better of her. Miller didn’t define her power by nerfing Max.
There was more than enough wokeness in Fury Road but it didn’t ruin the film. Theron was sexy and badass.
I was worried about the waif like little actress trying to be a bad ass action hero. But other than that I’m on board.
I fucking love George Miller and Fury Road is my favorite balls to the wall film in over a decade.
He’s earned at least one prime time movie ticket from me for this prequel.
There are three Mad Max movies. Never shall there be a fourth.
beyond thunderdome sucked..so for me there are 2
@@CableWatson YMMV but I liked it. Not as much as the previous 2. I’d say because it was a slicker production it lacked the charm of the previous 2. Just my 0.02.

Im looking forward to this... Dune 2 was very good... but not mind blowing to me... Im expecting Furiosa to be the same- very good- ... but more violent, artisticly crazy and action pact... which will put it higher then Dune 2 in my book.
Didn't like Fury Road, probably gonna skip this.
Can't wait, being a genXer I grew up with mad max, mad max 2 I lost count how many times I've seen that. 3rd film was meh but fury Rd was a banger of a come back so yeah I'm really looking forward to this Fury Road prequel.. It looks terrible and it doesn't have Max. Now how good can that be? The bankers should've stopped the loans on this one.
How can you even judge without seeing the movie??
@@joergzabbee3921 I've seen enough teasers and trailers to determine "looks terrible". All that CG / Green Screen / Fish Eye Lens looks awful. Remove Max from his own series and 👎
Just fyi, they didnt just crap out Dr. Dementus for furiosa to face off against, he was referenced in lore about ten years ago in the mad max game. Although he was supposed to be defeated by a son of immortan joe.

You cant have Mad Max without Max! It like having Wolverine without Logan!
I’ve watched the rest - even that Tina Turner one - so I’ll watch this. I don’t get why they didn’t just de-age Charlise Theron though. Say what you like about Dune Part 2 but the de-aging they did on Anya Taylor Joy was incredible.

If you mean Hack Snyder asked AI to generate a concept art of a character who looks like Furiosa, yes.
I have my notifications on and your videos are not showing up on my feeds bro
The trailers have not really done anything for this film, at least not for me, although when I saw a trailer for it when I went to see Godzilla minus one the bigger screen and surround sound did improve my opinion of this film a little. I’ve got no issue with Miller playing in his sandbox away from Max, if he has an interesting story to tell or a visual thrill ride like fury road to put up on the big screen I’m more than willing to be drawn back to the cinema with some good reviews and positive word of mouth. Of course these days, it’s finding a reviewer you can trust, but then it’s always been that way.

It’s “Furiosa” not “FurioSA”
There was a TON of CGI in Fury Road... Just watch the extras, way more than I would have guessed. Most of it is invisible (because it's well done) or practical were incorporated with the CGI.

Is it bad that I only wanted to see this film due to Chris Hemsworth being in it? Also, I loved Fury Road. Great flick!
No that's probably most of us, bro. He's a mega star and she's a fairly newish actress compared to him.
That being said she's alright. I liked her in the Northman, The Queen's Gambit and Peaky Blinders but her weird inbred looking eye placement weirds me out sometimes and it's distracting. Like sometimes she's kind of hot and other times her eyes make you creeped out. Or is that just me?
