I'm glad that questions showing more of your personalities were included. It was a fun seminar with the BBM crew. Lots of information that I apply during training each week. If you have a seminar in the STL area again, I hope to have several friends attend. Cheers! #314
What was?? the guys on the buggy and the other guy pushing it?? Why or how is that "awesome"? This is a great video, but why is that part so particular?
Hey, thanks for the awesome content :) Would it be possible to get a link for the FTO/GLP1/Ghrelin study that is mentioned in the genetic testing segment? I would like to read and share that :)
Never mind just watched it from the beginning and realized I have the first research review which was free at the time. Gonna be reading it first thing tomorrow morning! Excited
Not sure where you take QA questions from, but can you give a general breakdown of why resistance training (particularly HI resistance training) has a better "ROI" than cardio/endurance training?
At All Costs I don’t think I would frame it that way. Their are unique benefits to resistance Training and conditioning work and folks should probably do both.
Barbell Medicine Hi, sorry that's my mistake for misinterpreting what you said as far as the exercise guidelines being the more impactful biological lever that needs updates on guidelines. I'm lifting about 5-6 days a week on a PPL split mostly focused on compound lifts (with main compound on a 5/3/1 rep scheme + 2 sets of lower intensity for higher volume). How many days do you recommend doing cardio? Should it mostly be LISS or HIIT?
IF is not a diet. A diet regulates what one eats. IF regulates when one eats. A person who eats every hour will have an elevated level of insulin all day that will block access to fat stores. Under these conditions the body will respond to calorie restriction by lowering the base metabolism. IF is powerful to lose weight because the insulin level remains low most of the day, which allows access to fat stores- the person's metabolism remains normal.
I listen to the QAs multiple times, and even after the 4th or 5th listen, I'm still learning things. Very grateful for Barbell Medicine.
Finally, I was losing brain cells while waiting for new content.
Primary care physician from UK here... you guys are inspiring! Keep up the great work!
Hey, someone IS reading those arguments! I loved those reddit 531 threads lol

Great QnA and you guys look jacked!
Austin's hamstrings are like the size of my head
@BarbellMedicine I'm curious if you've ever come across research linking changes in vision to heavy lifting? Huge fan of yours!
Jordan at 11:29 gold
New BBM t-shirt design: charicture of Jordan shrugging with the caption "so yeah, I've been in some arguments recently"
I wish you guys weren't so busy so you could upload more content on a more frequent basis :) Love the content though!
love the ending / outro
The main thing I took from this video is have I really been saying satiety wrong all these years? Is it really sah-tie-et-tea?
13:25
It's as though Austin is looking for some wood to knock on, hahah
Many processes for me to process
Hey, I was just wondering if you guys had a link to the genetic satiety review that Austin mentioned?

fantastic content.
Good stuff.
What was the name of the study that tested GFP1 and Grelin and randomizes the delivery of test results to the participants?

On this channel 5/3/1 is a meme dude
Just do the bridge or buy a template on their website
Cin Do you know which vid they discuss 5/3/1?
I don't know about y'all but I'd love to get eyes on these arguments between Feigenbaum and whomever. Lol I'd follow like a cultist
You're right that it's pointless to argue on the internet but it's also just so much fun to go to battle
Tool mentioned at 27:40. How to find? Went to ahrq dot gov, looked under their Tools header, did not spot it.

wow thanks for the podcast recommendation. You are not so smart seems like a great listen
we call that "pizza" pfannkuchen in Germany. It's not considered an actual pizza here
I would perosnally call it Flammkuchen instead of Pfannkuchen (which I would say is just a pancake, so probably sweet).
@@Huffman_Tree dammit I misspoke. yes I meant flammkuchen. Danke
@@wizzelhoart Delete thread. You have no credibility now, bruh 😂

Even if what you say is true, citations needed!
As they said in the video, you'll need to provide evidence of this.
Who is suggesting that one should eat every hour?
Russel, this explanation of the physiology at play is *completely* wrong.
Russell Smilgys sorry, but no.
