We felt Judy when she sang. So glad you found her
Watching a a young Black man watch, enjoy, and see the heart in Judy Garland's 1960s singing has made a 57 year of White man feel very happy. In the world I live in, I am not seeing racial harmony the way I want it to be. But I see it, right here. So I'm going to believe this. And thank you.
I am going to be 21 and three days. I’m a young black man and I’ve loved Judy for years. Have some of her records 78 and LP.
What a stunning performance here by Judy. Singing with body and soul, captivating the entire audience, it's just breathtaking. You selected a great one here mate.
Young man, You are deep feeling. Sensitive, smart, and musical and a pleasure to share some special time with...
"I'm tired of living, but scared of dying" - she breaks my heart.
That knocked the wind out of my sails
Why
There was never anyone else like Judy. She lived her songs, she didn't just sing them.
So True , As she Believed the Rainbow was real , But she couldnt reach It an Find it for Herself ♥️😪
Just pure genius!
I was at this performance. Her rendition brought me to tears.
That must have been incredible! How extremely fortunate.
@@bradleypaulus2926 It was thrilling of a lifetime.
Wow! I cry every time I watch this, to be there, I can't even imagine.
Garland was One of those artists..that was on another level.
I have yet to hear Judy sing Old Man River without falling apart.
There will never be another Judy xxx

There's no other talent like Miss Garland. She tares your heart apart. ❤️
Never ever will there be another Judy

My favorite live performance of hers in her later years. That ending is so powerful!
How you define SOUL!!

Unreal 🔥!!!
Exceptional woman.
Stunning performance
Agreed Unmatched. Unmatched. ❤
She was and is the GOAT
She isn't just singing; she's living the song .
Absolutely!
Thank you!
Glad you appreciate Judy and I love your T-Shirt!!
"When the Sun Comes Out" - also from her TV series
Over the rainbow was her signature song.
My fave version of this song.
This performance always takes me past misty to the hacking cry. I love that she went all the way there emotionally. Timeless.
Judy was and is amazing. Try to find her performance of Battle Hymn of the Republic. She sang it on her tv show the week President Kennedy was assassinated .
Yes truly 1 of the best there ever was, I've done that performance, you can check it out here

AN AMERICAN!! 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 TREASURE!!🎉❤🎉
Judy's Battle Hymn of the Republic, following the assassination of President Kennedy is equally stirring. The power she could summon is unearthly. Have you seen her duet with Barbra Streisand?
Judy is magnificent here but let us not forget that 'Old Man River' was first sung by the gay African American Jules Bledsoe in the original 1927 Broadway production of Show Boat. The following year it was sung by Paul Robeson in the London production & Mr Robeson again sung it brilliantly in the 1936 Hollywood movie.
An aria. CBS did not want her to sing this but she did it her way. it is better though in b/w.
Nice to see the younger generation discovering the magic of Judy Garland. Your choice of songs to review are some of her finest TV moments, You might want to review her magical “Cottage for Sale”, duets with Vic Damone and finally her greatest triumph, her “Live at Carnegie Hall”masterpiece. The greatest live recording by a singer ever. You might want to review her version of Come Tain, Come Shine from the album. It will give new meaning to the word electrifying.
Ava Gardner was fantastic in it, but wouldn't Judy have been a fantastic Julie in Show Boat from the early '50s? She would have nailed "Can't Help Loving That Man of Mine" and "Bill"!
I believe her version is far and away the best.
U gotta do Black Sabbath - War pigs! Song will change ur life! (Don’t do the music video tho as its too distracting from the instrumentation
There is not a bit of performance than that by anybody anywhere anytime ever ever ever ever ever you should know that!
That being said, I highly suggest you do dirty hands, dirty face from her TV show. don’t listen to it ahead of time. Don’t watch it ahead of time. I promise you it’s up there with this.
I'm gonna definitely give that a shot
