      I have considerable arthritis and have had hand surgery and no longer shoot larger calibers and have the S&W Shield 380 EZ and the Ruger Security 380 and like them both very much. Neither of them are ammo sensitive and will fire whatever I put in them. Much as I love the Shield 380 EZ, the Ruger Security 380 is also a very soft shooter with double the capacity in about the same footprint as the Shield.
      I went to the store looking at the S&W Equalizer which is 9mm with the EZ rack system and it was nice and I almost got it and then I checked out the Ruger and liked the feel and how light it was to rack and when he told me it was the last one he had on display and he'd give it to me for half the price of the Equalizer I jumped on it and have not regretted it. With some of today's 380 defensive rounds I don't feel vulnerable or underpowered and with 15 +1 capacity that should be sufficient to resolve just about any problem I might run into.

    This was an interesting comparison, thanks for posting this.
    - There is a 12-round 380 mag for the Sig. In addition, I have run all of the 9mm mags through the 380 and they have all worked without a single malfunction (12 round 9mm, 15 round 9mm, and X-Maco mag). But for concealed carry, I will stick with the 12 round 380 mag to be safe.
    - The 365-380 with the Wilson combat grips and the WC 3 oz weights is a very fast and accurate weapon, and fun to shoot.

    The Sig does have 12 round magazines available. When you purchase the magazine, it comes with two floor plates; one with a “sleeve” to give a good full grip to the standard 365 grip frame, and one without a sleeve for use with a 365X grip frame (which is how I have my P365-380 set up).

    I used to carry a Ruger LCPII as a BUG/Summer pocket carry. However, I upgraded to a Glock 42 for several reasons: the G42 is more robust, has useable sights, and gives me the option to add a 300-lumen WML. While not as thin and light as the Ruger, it rides beautifully in a pocket or IWB holster.

    A 380 does not have the power for more deader …. It only kills. Try to find a test dummy for a 380 ballistic test. Keep in mind they tested cartridges in the olde days on pigs not gelatin. 380 worked fine.
    The 9mm Lugar shoots further than 380. It will pass thru easier and thus require an expanding hollow point. In military use pass thru is not an issue. It is a benefit.
    When law enforcement moved from revolvers to pistols more bullets ended up in the intended target. The debate over (1) shot stop ability of a 9mm vs 38 or even 357 magnum began. Did officers shoot more because they had more than 6 ? It is very natural to shoot multiple hits. It is also typical training today.

    I pocket carry the Ruger LCP max (12 round mag) in a sticky holster especially just running errands around town, I wear size L to XL gloves depending on the manufacturer so yes the LCP max is small but I overlook it because here in hot, sunny, humid FL, sometimes a larger weapon is a pain to carry especially if you wear basketball shorts to run out real quick. I have a few hundred rounds through it no issues, I keep it clean and it seems to just fine, for 7-10 yards it’s a solid little thing just my pov that’s it.

    You can get a laser max laser and maybe a light to go on the LCP max also the 9 mm P365 magazines work fine in the 380 version of the P3 65. I have been using all my 9 mm mags in there, and I’ve never had one problem.so you can expand your capacity that way

    I wouldn't have included the Beretta, since most people are not going to be carrying an expensive pistol. Plus, it's heavier and larger than most other pistols that are chambered for 380. The Glock 28 is a good choice, if you can find one, a lot of people bought them up since they were a limited run.

    I love my Bersa Thunder Plus. It's my EDC so it's gotten banged up a bit from ware and tear, but the price is right(better than ware and tear on a $1,500 pistol). I've put 1,000 rounds through it and it runs amazingly well. That double stack grip width makes it feel like it's bigger than it is and it has some steel parts that offer a little heft to it.. It's not super accurate out past 40ft (very possibly pilot error though). I don't recommend it for ankle carry though. I want to get the Ruger LCP for that since it doesn't have large safety lever and other hardware to dig into my leg.

    The LCP Max is a great design. Only mods that everyone should do are the takedown pin, guide rod and a heavier recoil spring, all available from Mcarbo. This super-light gun is uncomfortably snappy with hot SD loads and the stock recoil spring. I shoot Fiocchi ball ammo with the heavier spring, and it is very nice. (The reason for ball is that HP ammo is not going to expand much if at all through a 2.75" barrel, so it's pretty pointless.)

    • @gravesclayton3604
      @gravesclayton3604 2 месяца назад +2

      This is likely a list of the most popular by sales, I'm guessing? Scootch has reviewed the MC 14 and seems to really like it a lot, see his videos. I bought one because I can't afford the original Cheetah 86, even when I find one available. The MC 14T is a great pistol, as comfortable as any of the other Berettas that I have, with newer features & and way more affordable than the Cheetah 86 it is modeled after!
      I CC a P3AT as my EDC because it is feather-light & very compact. The P3AT is also a pain in the hand when range-practicing, for the very same reasons; I wouldn't call it 'fun'.
      My MC 14T, on the other hand, feels like a natural extension of my arm., even in my left hand. It is a genuine pleasure to shoot all afternoon, just a bit too large for my CC purposes.
