I’m still in disbelief and anger as to how bad they wrapped up Jon’s story and ruined his arc with the NK just to subvert expectations with Arya. Its so infuriating. Arya literally had nothing to do with the white walkers.
Just pretend the show ended at the end of season 6 and everything after is non canon
Not everything need to be so connected.. if Jon beat the night king or be the king as he supposed to be because he’s the heir by right…. The whole story will be another Lord of the Ring or Star Wars or stories like those..
@@bangnapi2786what’s wrong with having the story similar to lotr or the original Star Wars they are good stories after all
@@vegetablegames3295 LOTR and Star Wars stories was build from start to have a ‘happy-heroic ending’, we knew GRR Martin wrote his will be very different especially after he beheaded Ned Stark then Robb and etc… so why spoil the fun by making Jon to be like Aragorn or Luke in the end.. if Jon be king or kill the night King, pretty sure fans will be compare it or say it will be a rip off of LOTR (Especially LOTR).. my only problem is not why Arya was the one who kill the Night King, but why Bran is so easyly chosen to be the king… maybe they should make 1 or 2 more seasons to build that stories if they want to make bran the king (to have enough reasons) and build Dany’s story how she became the mad queen like her father.. even thought the death of her dragons and Missandei are enough. In the end they made justice for the Starks as now they rule all the seven kingdoms (6 as winterfell become an independent)… even now Jon became the King beyond the wall, not officially but we all knew he already chosen by the freefolk.
@@bangnapi2786 That is the most ridiculous explanation i've ever seen. If a character in a story is introduced with a problem, you expect said character to solve that problem. That's how storytelling works. You expect me to accept that explanation as rational when the storytellers themselves have come forward and said they did it simply to subvert expectation? Nah son, Jon was done dirty the whole way through this story especially at the end and the simple explanation is that D&D are amateurs and cant do anything with GoT without source material. So don't try and make it seem like they intelligently crafted the story that way because that's bullshit. You know it and so does everyone else. If you liked that BS ending, congrats. You're part of the minority but myself and every other person that expected a great story were left with nothing but a letdown. That's the cold hard truth of it.
Jon was THE man. Storyline should have had him defeat the white walklettes. AND he should have been the King. True heir to the throne.
feminism.
@@pedro9553please explain lmao
That would have been sooooo predictable and cliché. I liked this version better. Jon Snow was a good leader in some ways, and in other ways not so much. He always felt weighted down by the responsibility that follows with being a leader. He would have ma,de a terrible king, all angsty, broody, and reluctant.
@@elisaa9981 I don't disagree, but I mean regardless majority seemed to feel the ended wasn't too great, which is why I even think about what an alternate ending could at least have people content. I don't think jons ending was bad but I mean it's quite tough for a good character, Aegon Targaryen, brought back from the dead, shoulda had more of a roar at different parts but they never gave it the weight it deserved.
@@pedro9553 Arya was really meant to kill the Night King, she was trained under the tutelage of the many faced gods.. Jon was meant to kill Daenerys
I only now realize that Ned didn’t want to tell John about his mother when they last met because he knew that after he joined the nights watch he would have no claim to the crown and would be safe from Robert. It’s a shame they never saw each other again.
Just picked up on it as well. I haven’t seen these episodes in YEARS. I was so satisfied with hotd I hope season 2 is good as well
If I was jon I'd be Hella pissed if my uncle told me all that once I sold my life away thinking I had no other option
You are right that he would have no claim to the throne, and that is why Ned hadn't told him yet. But that doesn't mean he was safe from Robert. Robert wouldn't have cared if he was the former heir. He won the throne by right of conquest. But knowing Lyanna had a kid with Rhaegar means he would have stopped at nothing to kill that kid. Heir or not.
The way Rob looks at Jon in this scene always gives me goosebumps. 5:13
Few things are so precious as a true friendship.
Catelyn Stark was VICIOUS towards Jon Snow.
Well he was a reminder of her husbands infidelity. Or so she thought. She did not know the truth.
And because of a lie.
In season 2 or 3 (can't remember specifics) but she does mention in a conversation with Robs wife that she does regret treating Jon that way.
She seemed bitter about everything
Got to admit , Tyrion always had the best lines.
I love his scenes with Jon :)
Good but there are a lot of scenes missing such as Jon giving Arya Needle, the recruits confronting Jon...,
This is the only way I ever wanted to watch GOT anyways. Thank you so much
Forgot how freakin iconic this show was, every detail made with such a love to fantacy world you just wanna be there, holy sh
2:52 "You might, if you knew what it meant" Benjen was a great character, I really feel he wanted Jon to join for selfish reasons as he wanted a part of his sister with him on the Wall, but knew Jon was a rightful Prince of the Iron Throne
Thats 1 time thorn had a good point "you want a man at your back, or a sniveling boy?"
There is another one. Like him telling jon about leading or my personal favourite, "but you... Lord snow, you'll be fighting their battles forever"
all dwars are bastard in their father's eyes- tyrion
Turncloak.. Kingslayer ... Kinslayer ... Oathbreaker ... Stark...
Thanks brother
DUDEE thank you, you are a real king bro
feel like rewatching the whole show
Thank you thank you thank you
I don’t believe that in all of season 1 he only had 25 minutes of screen time! There must’ve been some scenes you didn’t add I’m sorry if that sounded rude you did amazing I love this vid
the arya scene is missing i think
Many scenes are missing
@@laricandoitbetteri came to say the exact same thing
When he tried to stab Thorne
When he was talking to Jaime before the big family dinner with the king is missing. Jaime was being an ass hat and poking fun at him.
Back when Jon was actually a character
i HATE how muddy winterfell is
It destroys me watching this amazing storyline of one of my favorite characters and knowing how it ends
The man destined to defeat the whote walkers, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, the rightful King of the Seven Kingdoms alongside Queen Daenerys Stormborn
D&D destroy us
Wow...i used to watch these all the time when Daemon Blackfyre 2.0 posted them. Idk who you are but you are now my hero and you've earned a sub lol
Where is the scene that jon receive long claw
I just realized that Jon is the oldest of the Stark children. And Catelyn must have felt like she needed to push out an heir fast before Ned adopts Jon, because the new king in her mind (and Ned's best friend) would have certainly approved it.
Actually Robb is the oldest Stark, he is older than Jon with a few months. Catelyn had him while Edd was at War
The first to open its eyes...
Robb is older, but ok
😅😅😅@@SmileyySmiley
Jon and Sam had a good relationship from the get!
I always felt that it was to save that plot line for the books. Which I’m fine with ….if it arrives
Jon struggling with one Wight but kills thousands to get back to the court yard at winterfell
I want to cry because the story may never get finished.... this doesnt count
Anyone notice they missed the scene where pip and toad tried to jump him
Poor rickon man. He needed to grow up quick. Should've just abandoned his wolf and went off his own to a farm or something.
Tyrion was indeed the best character ... fucking hell ...
King of North!!!
20:14 when u don’t realize ur talking to family
They should not have burnt Jon's hand here...
It would've indicated to atleast Loard Commander Mormont that he's a Targaryen
Notice that
Only certain Targaryens are immune to fire, usually it takes having a dragon to be immune. Look at the tragedy at summerhall, multiple Targaryens died in a fire
left out pip n bren attackin jom
You can literally correlate John tying his hair back to John becoming a dead character
Really weird that they changed Maester Aemons family line, Mad Aerys is his grand nephew, there was another King between Aegon V and Aerys II.
Jaehaerys II.
Jaeharys is worth taking out lmao lmao
I was fine with Arya killing the Night King, but I had hoped, had actually expected, when Daenerys became so murderous that she would order Drogon to burn Tyrion (instead of sending him to prison) and that Jon Snow would impulsively shout no just as the dragon was getting ready to blast fire. Drogon would stop, surprised himself, that he was commanded by a true Targaryen. then the looks on everyone's faces...
That would have been cool but it would go against the lore established by GRRM (it's also mentioned in House of the Dragon)...once dragons are bound to one person, they can't be commanded by any other person. So even though Jon was a Targaryen, Drogon wouldn't take direction from him because he had already bonded with Daenerys
@@TheRAH14oh yeah breaking book canon, they would never do that. It wasnt established in the show, it would work very well
@@Serenhity yeah I know, but I'm a stickler for the dragon rules 😆
season 1 tyrion was so hadnsome tf...
Like tbf Jon Snow was really a good Swordsmen..... "Some say the Best Swordsmen who ever walked"
If Sam hadn't been sent to the wall he'd been dead by the end of season 7. Or knelt before the Dragon queen
Jon snow daddy
Robb was kida rude to jon Arya is way more kind
Ned should have at least told his wife, whose son Jon was. But the question is, would she have believed him?!.
All seven kingdoms would’ve known if he told Catelyn Stark of all people. Ned understood very well that the only way to keep a secret is to never tell anyone. His wife would be the worst person imaginable to tell, she’d have been scared for her family’s life and probably ratted Jon out to king Robert.
A bastard is someone who doesn’t know who their father is …….
It also means being born illegitimate, which means your parents aren’t married
Me and my mother love jon snow but i we think that his story was wasted i wanted HIM to have killed the night king and that whole plot of him being the real heir to the iron throne was unexpected but pointless as he was forced to give up his claim to it . i never really liked the idea of Brandon becoming the new king after everything jon we though he didn't get anything except being forced to go back to the wall
Life had other plans for us
I was so happy when Caitlyn was killed I hated the way she abused Jon. I can't imagine how he was treated as a child by her. Loved the set up for her murder at Rob's wedding it was perfect.
She never abused him, she was indifferent to him and was angry at her husband for bringing the bastard home. She lives in a world where bastards can and have usurped the rights of their true born sons.
@@berserkhorimiya She was emotionally abusive, mentally abusive, and verbally abusive to him she got what she deserved.
@@tashajones3661 The only interaction that can construed as a verbal abuse was when bran lay dying, I would cut some slack to a grieving mother. Apart from that she seems indifferent for the most part, that's what GRRM himself stated btw. You shouldn't be applying our standards to westeros.
What she deserved ? lmao, have you read the books or are you just interested in being edgy ? She and her son died in a horriffic massacre. You think Robb deserved to die as well ?
Calm down edgelord.
An unpopular opinion. I respect it
Even though it's good she did contain herself, I hate how she treated him too. That type of treatment would hurt any child to some extent, even if they grow up to be reasonably well adjusted. Don't think she deserved that ending though :(
''Now dare's a reir sight. Not only a Bastid, booht eh Trehtes Bastid!
Now there's a rare sight. Not only a bastard, but a traitor's bastard.''
If only Thorne knew his true history.
Poor Sam still cared about his Dad even after he gave him a choice to either die by his hand, or take the black..
