That cut content of the leviathan city fight is what "sold me" on FFXV... sad to see all that gone. The buildings rotating, fights happening inside, the water chasing them etc... it looked fantastic. The real game is sadly so much more static.
That's due to the completely different time of day, and weather also. Water (reflections at least) is obviously downgraded though, but again, in the game can still looks miles better than the shot choosed by DF of the final game. When the sun is facing the surface it still produce highlights that interact with ripples and waves, and the end results can be extremely close to ED, if not even better. Water ripples doesn't look different, but again, in this video Noctis doesn't take one step in the final game shot so everything just looks infinitely worst.
The road texture also looks better in the demo, more realistic with its cracks and all that, the final game shows a rather smooth road. Perhaps it was repaved in between. :-P
in demo duscae taking a random screenshot is wallpaper worthy. now rim lighting, lack of better post processing, downgraded lighting, less ambient occlusion made it impossible to take a decent screenie :( NOW THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT, IS TO PORT IT ON PC INCLUDING ALL THE OLD GRAPHICAL FX WITH OPTION TO ENABLE THEM or dont even, modders will take care of it (unless ya know, denuvo)

The real reason they toned the graphics down a bit in the final game was because people wouldn't stop complaining about the low frame rate in the Duscae demo. Now that the frame rate is smoother, people are complaining about the graphics????

I don't really agree with you, I think Duscae lighting, water reflexion,DOF looks way better (6:40). And since the final game is running way better than the demo it makes sense they did cutbacks to get a better framerate overall. I would say there are clear improvement as well in other area like shadows and AO especially on vegetation. So it's not a downgrade, they just improve some area and cut things that were too taxing.
I just bought a new 4KTV along with the PS4 Pro and I am only getting 1080p output when my TV is 4K. (Advertised as so) Is there any way to get proper 4K video??? Or is that a compatibility issue that Sony caused with the new update? If someone responds I'd greatly appreciate it.
The combat looked better in Versus XIII than what we got in my opinion. There are several issues with the combat in XV that really annoy me (I'm about 30 hours in now). Too floaty, enemy attacks are pretty hard to see or even notice half the time, and a few other things like that. Idk I liked the KH style gameplay they had early on (makes sense, since it was Nomura's game at first).
we have to thank the current low graphical power from the consoles for the downgrades. there's no way consoles could keep up with decent framerate and the demo/alpha graphics. wait for the ps5 remaster version of the game x)

The sun is blinding in the right video so that makes it look more real. But that can just be a different time in the game. In 8:12 you see in the distance, the left video has better draw distance and much more detail more trees, and clouds. And the duscae demo runs worse. If the right was the final game. i would not be impressed.

hi DF. I'm playing the game in high mode on ps4 pro. I'm not sure if it's just me but everything seems so soft. I'm running hdr as well on a 65 inch ks8000. it just seems like all the textures are blurry. and only the ones your characters are closet too seem a little better. I'm enjoying the game but it really feels like I'm running around in a fuzzy, washed out blurry world.
Episode Duscae won't show if you search but if you go to your Ready to Install list it should be there. Reinstalled for me. Be sure to press RB + LB + X in case you hid it.

Its a downgrade. I wouldnt call a worse IQ (even on PS4Pro) with TAA an improvement compared to the Demo which was sharper and had no AA.

ZeldaMaster32 are you kidding? at 5:20 the trees in duscae looks like crap and the resolution is horrible. and the picture overall is dull and grey. in the video to the left is more vibrant and colorful. at 7:15 yeah, the lighting is better in the right video. and at 7:59 the water moves on the right. but that does not mean that it does not look like that in the final game. The sun is blinding in the right video so that makes it look more real. But that can just be a different time in the game. In 8:12 you see in the distance, the left video has better draw distance and much more detail more trees, and clouds. And the duscae demo runs worse. If the right was the final game. i would not be impressed.

Did he just compared two different versions of a game in two different consoles? What's the point? You compare two versions of a game on the same system so you can see the difference in optimization etc

Funny how they said Duscae would be one of the smaller areas we can explore in the game, yet its not only the biggest, but the majority of the entire open world.

I don't know... The stuff that was shown before that is not in the game sounds more insteresting to me than how the is at the end... Mainly the combat, that looks somehow more simplistic but more enjoyable
hi DF. I'm playing the game in high mode on ps4 pro. I'm not sure if it's just me but everything seems so soft. I'm running hdr as well on a 65 inch ks8000. it just seems like all the textures are blurry. and only the ones your characters are closet too seem a little better. I'm enjoying the game but it really feels like I'm running around in a fuzzy, washed out blurry world.

Episode Duscae won't show if you search but if you go to your Ready to Install list it should be there. Reinstalled for me. Be sure to press RB + LB + X in case you hid it.
I've tested the Duscae demo on Xbox One frame rate really suck compare to the final game i was shocked.

jordocondi yeah the water does look pretty awful as in the reflections are glitchy. The water itself isn't so bad. They probably had to tone down the ripples and flow for performance which I'm more than happy about.

The game looks OK on PS4, combat is simple to get into and I've found it quite fun. I'd definitely trade in my PS4 copy to play it on PC though!

To all the people saying the demo was better you obviously don't know anything about how these games run. I played the demos and I can confirm they were technical disasters. After playing this game with the graphics setting on my pro on high, you wouldn't be saying that demo was better. I'm sorry but the demos gave me a headache just watching them. The game is gorgeous and runs great.
