The 981 is really one of the best Porsches out there. Especially 981 the value is holding really well. It is a really fun car, totally worth every single penny.
After 15 years of 987 S ownership I got a 981 Spyder 😹

I love my 981 Boxster S. On a long drive at 80 mph it gets 30 mpg! I bought it for 37k last year (2020) and it’s worth more now, but I won’t sell it until I can afford a Spyder or new 6 cylinder GTS.
Haha, I got a 981 Spyder Nov20 for $89.5. They are selling for $100k-$110k today, lol. My window sticker was $107.8, that’s what it’s worth 😹

Aloha and I literally have to perfect example of car, environment in full effect, it is a chicks car, they love it and I love chicks, babes, and the BIKINIS!!!?? Back views are the bonuses??!! Eye candy for her,me every day 24 7!!
FYI the seats do not blow cold air, they are a ventilated seat option, which sucks the (warm) air away from where you are sitting to give a cooling effect. Great car!

Used to own a 987 Boxster and it was the best driving machine in my experience. My next Porsche will be a 981 Boxster S. The howl of the naturally aspirated Flat 6 is intoxicating. The turbo 4 in the 718 is a travesty imo

I want one. But everh damn RUclipsr talks about how great and affordable they are, so they went back up in value, just like the Cayman. RUclipsrs ruined it. I want one and will get one I hope one day.
Everyone hated my 996 Turbo until Magnus Walker bought one. Now every youtuber talks about them and I get unsolicited offers to sell ALL THE TIME. It's nice to know I can sell the car for far more than I payed for it, but it's equally annoying because I love the car and have no intention of selling.

I see You can add oil through the filler cap. But how do you check your dipstick to see if you’re low to add the oil? I want to buy one these. Plan to rent one on Turo to spend a full day getting a good feel for it before I pull the trigger

How reliable is this car? Consumer Reports doesn't have any data for either Boxsters or 911's. I'm debating between a 2014 Porsche Boxster S or a 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 3LT. The Vette has excellent reliability.

I'd love to have one but it seems near impossible to find a well optioned car. Fact that cars like the Jag F-Type are now cheaper than this also makes it tough.

Can you fit a golf bag in it?
At the rear, yes, there are deep areas into both sides, but I wouldn't say it would fit a large bag with a full compliment of clubs.
I take all my clubs out and put seperately in the front hood with standard , stand bags also fitting. Then my carry car and luggage fits in the back.
If it's a small one or folded up, yeah, no problem

No. It's actually 'Par-sha' but you'd have to be a complete tool to correct someone who said 'Por-shh' because it just doesn't matter.

I would have to immediately supercharge one if I ever got one. Too slow for me from the factory. The last 12 years, I’ve owned cars much faster than this, and new cars of today are faster for the same price as a used and abused one of these. I get it, it’s a great drivers car, and that would be the reason I would buy one, but I would have to add more power to it for me to enjoy it.
Just don't bother buying one. If you think it's too slow, the car is not for you.
My 981 Spyder has 375hp, but I want more! 414hp is available with a ECU flash.
