Thank you, appreciate the support :) and yea it's about 2.5hrs both ways, but we got on a local train instead of special rapid on these at there, so that transfer took 1:40 instead of 50 minutes for the rapid haha
I have shinobi ps2 but no real case fake print on it :( . Pokémon snap is that the one where you talk to pikachu? We have that at our local retro store just missing the microphone but had everything else also no box lol.
The microphone one is hey you Pikachu. Pokemon snap is the one where you take photos. How much does it sell for the Canada right now? The one at your local store 🤔
Hey, dig the vids man. I’m in Osaka currently for the first time. Didn’t hear a name for the final store you guys visited, the one you said you had randomly stumbled upon before. Would love to check it out. Thanks!
Beautiful there in Japan it’s more high tech looking then Toronto lol. I have a upcoming Toronto trip game hunting but I think you win with the prices!!!
Console stuff is nice, But you know I would love to see you being able to buy arcade PCBs controllers and stuff like that. I guess the shops that used to sell that kind of stuff are gone with maga, The anime culture and console stuff dominating the landscape
Super Potato's gaijin pricing on the boxed games and hardware is just so dispiriting. Great selection though. Always fun to see Namba and denden town. I plan to swing through there in July - first visit to the area in half a decade.
@@frankieinjapan No, just visiting. I used to live in Osaka though and spent many a weekend browsing the shops in Namba. Osaka's Denden Town was *the* gaming mecca for western Japan in the 90s.
Frankie is so famous now with his 1k subs that he needs two bodyguards ! does the sister collect too ? time to fill an excel file to keep track of the collection
Osaka prices are crazy, here in Ibaraki is so much cheaper, managed to get Unboxed Pokemon GB games for 100円 and Gameboy Colours, 2 for 300円 in a Wonder Goo junk section
I know. These popular cities have become tourist traps. It almost feels like a scam 😭 thankfully the countryside and less popular prefectures are still safe haha. I've never been there, but I should go for a road trip some day
Not yet unfortunately. But I can play games like Mario and donkey Kong without needing to know Japanese. I can read if there's no kanjis though, as kids games don't use kanjis (like pokemon).
Glad to see Japan actually respecting retro stuff, especially retro gaming.
I wisj i could go game shopping in Japan. My dream. They look so amazingly
super potato sure never disappoints when talking inflated prices, great vid F, keep it up and tell your sis in law to smile for the camera for us :D
I know, I can't believe how bad it got. And haha both of them are so shy. Leas warming up to the camera though, thankfully 🤣
Always a lot of Super Famicom. Really appreciate seeing that :D
Hi Adam nice your subscribed I just sent you Frankie’s video yesterday lol didn’t know you already knew of his channel 😊
I love collecting the Pokemon Kids figures too. They're just great, inexpensive display pieces.
Hell yes! Glad someone else likes them too
Sorry to bother you
I want get a gbc in Osaka
Which store should I go
I like your video style. Laid back and easygoing. That was a long commute!

@@frankieinjapan good time to catch up on a podcast or book!
@@DicePunk I just used to to catch up on a nap haha 🤣
@@frankieinjapan that too!
Awesome video as always!
Thank you :D
Used to be able to go there and pick up a bunch of ROM chips and such an arcade parts but I guess that's no more

Yes you can, it's incredible 🤩
@@frankieinjapan I gotta go to Japan but I think I'll go broke just buying so many games LOL 😁😁😆😆
@@Hicks-g1m yeaup. I made myself broke this way 🤣
Went to super potato yesterday and the prices were insane. Just browsed and left.

Welcome to Japan, I hope you have an incredible time! And the final store was called Surugaya (there are 2 in namba). The second one is the larger one
Why did you stop to make videos?
new subscriber here! those are damn crispy boxed games that you got.
Thanks for sticking around :D
Great video! Do you see many Bomberman figures?
Thanks for the support. And I don't recall seeing any. I'll keep an eye out next time I hunt :D
Beautiful there in Japan it’s more high tech looking then Toronto lol. I have a upcoming Toronto trip game hunting but I think you win with the prices!!!
Ohh I'd love to spend time in Toronto! I only ever went there for a day when I lived in Ontario for a short time. It def must be expensive
Great content mate! Any tips for finding Amiibos in Osaka?
Book offs usually have tons of amibos. You'll find them all over the place in Osaka. Happy hunting, and thanks for the support :)
Console stuff is nice, But you know I would love to see you being able to buy arcade PCBs controllers and stuff like that. I guess the shops that used to sell that kind of stuff are gone with maga, The anime culture and console stuff dominating the landscape
such a shame NA didn't continue getting the medabot series, I would've loved to of gotten the Metabee classics collection for 3ds in english.
Yes! I used to love the franchise, but we didn't get much outside of just the anime unfortunately. I agree
Ya i never go to super potato anymore, i just go straight to book off , it's much much better. No idea what happened to them.
15:51 you guys see sonic generations?

Yeaup for real. I was just in Hyogo last night and found bundles of pokemon Green for 500 yen a piece. And you live in Japan hey? What area?

I have Sailor Moon R for the SFC it’s a nice game a beat them up game art is cute I got mine as a bid with box from japan
Awesome. Some of the sailor moon games are so expensive :p
Mr Potato son probably watches American retro game hunting channels and realized he has underpriced his stock.😅
Yeaup. Probably gets his prices from DKOldies haha

Like your video but too much handheld for me.
That's Goldeneye Rogue Agent not Nightfire but it is indeed a really good first person shooter DS game. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the correction, I wasn't too sure haha 🤣 otherwise, thanks for the support. I appreciate the comments :D
Can u play Japanese games, no language problem?
Not yet unfortunately. But I can play games like Mario and donkey Kong without needing to know Japanese. I can read if there's no kanjis though, as kids games don't use kanjis (like pokemon).
I knew Super Potato was pegged as over priced but seeing them in the video whole crap! 🙅🏻♂️
Yeaup. I only buy stuff from here when they have something I can't find anywhere else, but for general shopping they suck. Only for ultra rare stuff
