    Just finished binge watching this entire series and man I have to say the sheer improvement in such a short amount of time is incredible. the production value on last few videos is amazing. Keep up the great work and you'll go far!
    I'm going to be going to Japan in a couple years time, most likely in the Tokyo area and I plan on doing a lot of game hunting. Mostly Fire Emblem, Zelda and Pokemon. Watching these videos has inspired me to collect as much as I can while I'm there.
    Looking forward to the next retro game hunt video!

    I'm actually headed to Japan in a couple of months...planning to hit most of the Offs for some retro games. I do have a question though...regarding the Super Famicom boxes games, are the cartridges themselves usually in good condition (no yellowing, not dirty). You can't tell because of the shrink wrap.

    • @frankieinjapan
      @frankieinjapan  Год назад +1

      That's awesome, you're gonna love it! And the super Famicom games are usually always great condition. They label boxes in most places if there's yellowing, and the super worn down used ones usually end up in a bin for like 100 yen. Every place is different, but usually that's how they handle it.

      @@frankieinjapan I got it through Sendico, I really enjoy how they package stuff, they charge 500 yen per thing you buy so it's good to find bundles so you don't keep paying 500 yen on stuff that costs sub 1000 yen. Luckily the Mario games were all a bundle (Super Mario Kart, All Stars and Yoshi's Island), Super Mario World came with the console and the 3 DK games were a bundle also. $44 dollars for Pokémon green??? When I was in vacation trip in Japan I was buying Pokémon games for $5 dollars and that was back in 2019 WOW!! And I seen a bunch of ps1 consoles for $5 dollars, that’s it’s crazy how much they sell for now in Japan! What I notice is that a lot of people are selling on eBay! And is why the prices are so high now! I got a final fight for the famicom for $32 dollars completed and now they sell for almost $200 dollars in eBay! I’m talking Canadian dollars, I got a full set of neo geo cd for $4700dollars a full set, and metal slug, metal slug x and metal slug 3 for the AES for 8k Canadian, back in 2012 and that was the only reason I travel to japan back in 2012 I wonder how much the metal slug games sell for, I can’t find any listing other then one for metal slug x for 5k on eBay, but I think his nuts no a real price,or I hope not

    • @PumilioTurkey
      @PumilioTurkey 10 месяцев назад

      actually yes - most AES prices exploded over the past 10 years and it got worse during Covid. Rare ones like Metal Slug 1 or 2 are somewhere between 5000-20.000$ depending on condition. the "common" Metal Slugs are like 2000-6000$ xD
