I heard a story that all super shinobi are copyright 1989 so hopefully they all include the super hero characters as I bought one. I will be honest these shops you go to are sometimes better than Akiba. If I come back next year I'll do a tour with you.

Seems like most HARD OFFs (at least in Nagoya) are not tax-free. But every BOOK OFF should be. Sometimes the staff don't even know about it. Kirby & The Amazing Mirror for almost 4000 yen. I just got that complete for 900 yen from Book Off :D For some reason, that particular store always has GBA games for 900 yen. I guess they haven't updated their prices yet for that category.
I wonder about the tax-free, but good to know that all BOOK OFF stores are tax free. Sweet deal on that Kirby! Looking forward to you next video, cheers!
That’s a tricky one! I have been lucky in the past in regard to plane tickets. Sometimes my ticket includes 1 carry-on, a backpack and 2 checked bags. In that situation, pack them books in a suits case. Shipping the books home could be expensive. Some of those books are so tempting. We’ll keep going down the rabbit hole as I’ll try and feature art books in a future video, haha!
Cool stuff...got a GB MICRO FC ed. along with CIB SMB1 and 2, off ebay...for about $290....i guess it's a better deal than the one in the video eheh MAD STALKER...i got the STRICTLY LIMITED version of that one...it's a game completed in 2020....originally slated for a 1994/95 MD release, was canceled for the high cost of MD cartridge units....it's basically a stripped down X68000 port with better music, imho

Hello, I'm only a part of the Hard OFF ambassadors program. I do have the BOOK OFF app, however. The only benefit that I really see are the points you get for buy and selling. I saved about ¥472 on my Vampire Hunter D OST purchase due to those points. They occasionally provide coupons through the app, so that's another bonus! If you live in Japan, downloading the app or signing up through their website is it all it takes. I'm unsure if it's easy for tourists to sign-up, but there are likely workarounds for that situation. Do you think you're better off shipping the books home rather then another suitcase? Or is it about the same price? Idk haven't been to Japan yet.
