@@2shoestoo I bought a Ranger Raptor just a couple of weeks ago for $57,935. That included a spray-in bed liner, mud flaps, and keypad entry. I didn't pay for the last item because I didn't order it; they gave it to me for free. You have to find a dealer who will order it for you direct from Ford. It takes a while to get it but you save thousands on the dealer gouging.
As a Tacoma guy, I’m pretty miffed at the PRO’s $65,000 price tag, $16,000 more than my 2020. I hope the Raptor steals as much sales as possible from Toyota forcing some heavy discounts down the road.
I was just not very comfortable with going back to a 4 cylinder on the Taco. I get it's a turbo, but still had reservations on the I4 powerplant longevity.
Yes, that is exactly why I bought it over the Taco. I kept going back to that 405hp... Just hope it can live up to Toyota longevity. I went from a FJ with 230,000 miles and a flawless history.

As a previous bronco raptor and f150 raptor owner, it's incredible how this vehicle does offroad. It's way quicker than my bronco raptor was. Going over jumps, there isn't the huge thud from landing, its pretty smooth. I'm really impressed what it can do and it's significantly cheaper. Wished it oversteered more.

Test drove and tried to buy...MSRP is fine, but dealers are marking them up 10k plus. While I could if I wanted, just can't justify it. Ordered a Lariat FX4 2.7.
As long as the trail is dry there’s no problem… where I am it is very rainy and trail are always muddy , and I can tell you that you are going nowhere with ko2 or ko3 in mud . Maybe I will try to air down to see but I don’t think it will change anything
I plan on ordering one to be built in the next 2-3 mos. But im totally stuck on what color to choose, narrowed down to shelter green and azure gray. I love how the green looks in different lighting and it really highlights the body lines, but have yet to see the azure gray in person. Love to hear any of your thoughts. I started sold with green but my wife it talking me into azure gray

Have you taken the outback or Crosstrek wilderness on that trail at speed? I'm curious how the Baja mode suspension of the raptor compares to something that might feel a little more rally focused.
One small cool thing is the cell phone tray that charges your phone. No wires, no setup. Just put the phone in. I don't know why it took so many years to put a cell phone tray in vehicles even if they don't charge the phone but this one is great. The only problem is there should be two so my GF doesn't take my phone out and put hers in. She says that it is right because she talks more. True.

Those deflators will adjust as low as you want not just 18lb. On my PRO I run 15lbs it literally rides like a Cadillac off road. The faster you go the smoother it gets.

That is the weakness of Toyotas. I was trying to climb a tough hill that had rocks with my FJ Cruiser, the hill was steep enough that it required momentum. I had my front A-TRAC on which is similar to MTS and works great on slow rock or off-camber obstacles by applying brake to the wheel in the air spinning and letting the wheel on the ground get traction. I had to disable A-TRAC and blast up the hill with momentum to get it done. The one thing I remember saying to myself was If I had a front locker this would have been so much easier and slower.
@@drivingsports The PSI on the sidewall is not a 'recommendation' for your truck. That just means if you go above that PSI, the tire is a risk of failing. The psi recommendation that matters is the one on the door jamb that the vehicle manufacturer lists. A non-HD light truck is usually way less than 50psi.
LOW psi 23 for the tires, yes it offer better grip,, but risky puncture easily on those sharp rock off road,,, I think 23 is way too low,, I try 30 at least,,,,
Higher pressures will also cause more punctures then mid 20 psi on a light vehicle on gravel roads, I drive logging roads that are pretty nasty with a 1 ton truck packing fuel and tools and we have found max pressure kills tires.

50 psi is insane. Most jeeps daily around 25 psi. And off road are 15 or less.
Tire max is 50, Mfg. recommended 39. Mine was delivered at 45.
Would consider it if it had Fox 3.0’s, sway bar disconnect, 35’s factory and didn’t have a rear that looks like a Subaru truck thing

Tacoma set in multi train select rock mode is the equivalent to a front limited slip.
As great as MTS is, it still requires some slip to engage. Front locker doesn't.

I ran my FJ Cruiser at 20 psi multiple times at off-road parks on Bridgestone Dueler Revos on sharp rocks and tree stumps and never had a puncture.
I run 20 in my 4Runner off road and no punctures on my KO2s
