    Big thing to note… I discovered that these Sunseekers won’t communicate with the Intellicenter, meaning you won’t be able to remotely change the light color like you can with the 5g. The only way to change the color is to turn the light on and off. For me, that was a deal breaker.

    I'm looking to purchase some pool lights (new construction) Seems this is a retrofit? Is the "Pool Tone 16 color LED Pool light / 12V" an entire assembly? Where do you purchase a controller to run RGB / W etc ? Also; would a controller eliminate the need to use a Lutron switch? (I actually already use the Caseta ecosystem, but just saying.)

    • @davidstanley9547
      @davidstanley9547  3 года назад

      This one is retrofit bulb into existing housing. The controller is on the board of the bulb assembly. You do need the switch as the remote interface to power on and off like any light switch. Flipping the switch on and off fast changes the light color.
      They do sell whole new assemblies though. For half one cost with all the benefit of this system for brightness, colors, etc. give them a call and they will help you choose what’s right for the job.

      it is. I would call them though to tell them what is happening. would be interesting to see if you had a leak in your housing that damaged the light itself. Their service is excellent and he can steer you in a confident manner. to be safe a possible, make sure to kill the breaker that powers it.

    You may find you have the internal transformer, if you do test the old board (use your garden lights they are 12v). If it is your transformer you can remove with a hot knife (soldering iron) and drill just ne careful. Cheaper then replacing the entire housing & cord. New transformer is only 40$. Sell the pentair if still good.
