Honestly, these systems are great if the expectation is that it is for the room that it is placed only. Meaning that placing it in one room and expecting it to heat or cool another room or other rooms through the doorway will not achieve the result you are looking for. You can get a multi room set up that has one condenser and multiple heads as they call it for the different rooms but this is certainly a more complicated installation. For me I either have a unit in a room and that room is the intended place to heat or cool or in a large open space like the one in this video. One big unit for serving the main living area and then a separate unit for the large bedroom area. Indeed, they do great 95% of the time for heating or cooling if not 100% for cooling. There are a few days of the year in this in-laws house where the fireplace is used to get things nice and toasty and then maintained with the split mini. That said we are talking subzero days

I would think...Absolutely, just reach out to Florida Sunseeker and tell them what you have and replace the light board.

Gotta say they are all working great. I have five separate units now throughout the property and they have just been the greatest. I know they are starting to become more popular in the United States but I couldn't be happier I got in as early as I did in their rise to fame.

Cute. these are made in the USA by a small family business. I have had zero issues with it. And installed it back when i posted the review. I guess that shows good longevity. and it is on about 6 hours per day. the pentair original laster 4 years so... If you have nothing positive to say then this is probably not the place for you to say things. BTW, I am just a regular customer with no skin in the game.

It’s still running as good as new. I did have to get the refrigerant recharged a tiny bit but pretty sure that was my fault on it installation as it was my first time doing it but the unit is running terrific. HVAC direct does have their own line that they are selling and I have one of those as well that works terrific

sorry, no experience there. that said, should not be an issue as it just turns on and off like any other switched device. Only question would be the on off cycling to change the light color. Call Florida Sunseeker...they will know.

The DIY is appealing because of the insane amount that companies want to charge for the installation. Yes, there is work involved, but seriously $8k install for a $2k product

​@Albert Greuter same as whole house automatic generator. Unit was $2600 at home depot. Contractor wanted $$7500 to install unit. I asked him how long it would take to do the work. He told me him and a helper would be done in a day and a half. I asked him why he thought his labour was worth so much and he said it is what it is and if I didn't like his price I could get someone else or try to do it myself. I went with doing it myself after watching a couple.e of you tube videos. Took two weekends to complete. I did the same thing with my heat pump, I absolutely refuse to be hosed by Contractors who think the sun shines out of their butts!

Absolutely. They are crap quality from the original maker too. You can’t go wrong with these guys. I suggest you call them to be absolutely sure which to get as you might need full housing and cable it sounds like. Those are literally tear out the old install the new. Super easy.

no issues at all and the unit of course looks brand new still. I think the issue is good ventilation. There is no exhaust so nothing dangerous just need it to breath when it is hot during AC production. The disconnect...because i had it and to keep inspectors away. ;-)

A disconnect is typically required when there is no unit switch. The NEC states that the disconnect should be readily accessible and in line of site. In this installation, the breaker would probably have sufficed but the disconnect is good practice.

Honestly, i was fine with an emergency supply of oil in a small bottle to top off if needed and a good replacement on finish.

This one is retrofit bulb into existing housing. The controller is on the board of the bulb assembly. You do need the switch as the remote interface to power on and off like any light switch. Flipping the switch on and off fast changes the light color. They do sell whole new assemblies though. For half one cost with all the benefit of this system for brightness, colors, etc. give them a call and they will help you choose what’s right for the job.

@@davidstanley9547 confusing because the intelligent 5g is Available in 120-V and 12-V versions. And I'm assuming the 12-v uses an external transformer. If is 120v that means both lights got a transformer in the back. Thanks for your time

Donald McPherson true. It gets cold if it runs for a long period of time in the winter. That said, it is not insulated so does not bother me. More annoying is in the summer it makes it hot. But I just open the garage door if I need to be in there.

EL FAMILY MAN well I am a customer so if you don’t know what to do why don’t you call the seller and manufacturer? It is simple plug and play so not sure how to make it easier. I am telling people my experience. Guess I should address the time I just lost answering this for you buddy.

should be more than enough which is just right. :-) Indeed, the garage made sense as it is warmer and totally protects the unit from the elements. The garage is well ventilated too so was not worries about airflow at all.

i would reach out direct to the manufacturer. They are quick and you will likely talk to the guy that actually made them.

Brad Gro, yes I did! the aftermarket lights I got from Sunseeker (FLALED.com) came with “Tab style” terminals that just popped right on the Pentair lights. Very easy and VERY happy with these lights so far. Hoping they last me a very long time

it is. I would call them though to tell them what is happening. would be interesting to see if you had a leak in your housing that damaged the light itself. Their service is excellent and he can steer you in a confident manner. to be safe a possible, make sure to kill the breaker that powers it.

@@davidstanley9547 no it's the Pentair that lasted a month and there's no leaks or anything it's famous for the bad circuit boards which is why I'm going with the Florida one and thanks!
